What«genius» decided to dramatically raise prices at Nations ??? $ 7.80 for a single bacon cheese burger ??? I went to IN&Out and got a double cheese burger, fresh french fries and a small pink lemonade for $ 7.76 A much better deal :-)

It was a good place for breakfast but the workers are kind of rude and don’t clean tables. Probably pies is where they make money so hot much goes into the store help. This is why McDonalds owns breakfast.

Best place for pies in the East Bay — I wish the burgers would come with mustard and ketchup on them — it can get messy, which can be good.

First let me say I’ve been coming to this location for a long time and usually it’s super good. This morning not so much. The ham in my omelette was bunt. Like charcoal burnt. So I did the one thing I never ever ever do in a restaurant I sent it back and requested new food. Usually I would just get a refund and leave but I really wanted an omelette. Instead of replating my food they just slide the offending omelette off the plate and cooked me a new one. Kinda jinky but ok. New fresh omelette came out looked good I cut into the middle and bam long black hair cooked right into it. Gross does not even cover my reaction. Can you imagine if I was more lady like and started eating it from the end and not the middle? As much as I love the pies here I will never step foot back into this location. I did get a refund and ended up where I should have gone to start with Panera where I got my food fast, made correctly and hair free.

Overall the burger and fries were good. Got a bacon cheeseburger w/everything on it and side of fries and a Coke. Oddly enough the soda machine was out of all Coke flavors, had to ask the cashiers/cooks to change it and apparently all they had to do was reboot the machine but still no cherry Coke, only regular. The cashier who others have complained about in there reviews Marlena served me. She is quite rude and disrespectful. She was much more interested in talking with her co workers than serving me and when I had a complaint about the soda machine I had to flag her down and she rolled her eyes at me. As if I was inconveniencing her asking for help, not to mention she kept making jokes to other customers about taking home one of the employees because he was bothering her. The other employees were also young and rude teenage types. All in all the burger was decent the service was deplorable.

Could not find Katy’s Corner and ended up coming across Nations Hamburgers. Super good breakfast given it is a burger joint. I will most definitely come back to a Nations for breakfast in the future. Great staff, amazing food, and clean environment. Everything I want in a restaurant! 5 stars!

Around the Bay Area, its hard to have a «diner» experience. Nations is a place stuck in a timezone with their pie refrigerator display. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Their breakfast items are good. Whenever I can I will stop by and eat.

The food can be great when made to order. The last two times the take out order wasn’t made right. It was my fault for not checking it before leaving. There’s no reason to place a phone order either. It’s been my experience the order isn’t started until you arrive. The staff is friendly and courteous. I just wish that would include attention to detail.

Average burger place. They have the classic hamburger, cheeseburgers, and grilled chicken. The only«non-classic» burger was the salmon burger. Each burger comes with mayo, mustard, tomato, onion, and lettuce(grilled onions and pickles upon request). Although they covered all the necessary basics ingredients, I wish there were extra options like mushrooms and avocado. Burgers were $ 5 or so for a generous size. My cheeseburger patty was very moist. They also serve breakfast and pies. Overall, very basic burger joint with very basic ingredients.

Terrible service. I called this evening to place an order. I was told, «Can you hold? It will be two seconds.» Yeah, right, but I patiently waited anyway. I wasn’t put on hold, but rather the phone was placed on the counter. After almost 8 minutes, I was rudely hung up on. No one even bothered to ask if someone was there… The phone just went dead. I will never order from this Nation’s again because there is a wonderful burger chain nearby that was happy to take my order and had my food ready in 20 minutes. And, I like their burgers better anyway.

Terrible service! Third strike already. Every time they mess up they blame the customer and do nothing to fix the situation. Thanks for taking my money for nothing. Also is not polite to sweep under our near or table and chairs when we are trying to have an ok time. Gross! Open face also doesn’t mean cut my burger top in half, how can I eat my burger? Also where is the rest of it? Just chili a cut in half bin and a piece of meat. If I just wanted to eat fries like am now. I would have would have went to McDonald’s! Rude rude rude! Thanks for taking our money for nothing. Terrible. Never again! !

They stay open late, some nights even later than In and Out Burger! A bit more earthy than In and Out and you even get some MEAT on the bun or if you wish, breakfast items after midnight in a sit down atmosphere. And then there are the pies. Nations is an American classic. Kind of like a truck stop in the burbs. Funny thing, I never find myself eating here during the day, but for a late night meal, it is as good a choice as there is in the San Ramon area.

Great service, great cheeseburger, and the best banana cream pie I’ve ever had. Not bad… not bad at all.

My favorite local burger. The ingredients are fresh, portions generous and service quick and friendly. Besides the burgers I especially like the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The pies are tasty and fresh. We usually pick up a few custard and pumpkin pies for the holidays.

This place looks like an old-school burger place. I stopped by quickly just to pick up a banana cream pie to go. The girl helping me was quick and polite, and the pie was really good. I noted to myself to stop here one day for a burger with my son.

Breakfast was delicious! But the coffee was just okay. :P Got the two-egger — over-easy eggs, hash browns, sourdough toast, and sausage links! It was all cooked well and I would definitely come back for the breakfast food. With a little bit of pepper and Tapatio, I happily devoured the plate of food. Overall, the food was quite oily, so I wouldn’t come here THAT often, just for my health :)

Nations was empty late afternoon. glanced at the pies(nearly 15 for an whole), not enamored with the food, just wanted a brew brew: french roast, 1.90, peerless –tasted a bit harsh, sitting around awhile? –only def, med. roast other choices. maybe a med would have been better, drips: –coffee may have been poor but keep me awake…

I love nations. It’s good old American food. Simple, quick, and fresh. The staff is always really friendly and competent. I come here pretty often to pick up food to go. You can get breakfast food at any time of the day, which I love. The prices are very reasonable. They don’t have a huge menu, which I also appreciate. They know what the do well and the stick to it. The pies are also great. They have seasonal pie selections to go along with their regular rotation. The seasonal right now is pumpkin cream which is phenomenal. I would recommend this nations to anyone looking for some quick food right off the grill.

Nations is a burger chain that seems to follow me around! I’ve lived in three different cities in the Bay Area and there’s always a Nation’s nearby! It’s been a while since I’ve been here but I had this craving for pie! I ordered a hamburger with grilled(closer to Carmelized which is better!) onions and pickles + fries + a small slice of custard pie. Burger cooked and seasoned well — kinda awkward to eat since it’s a good size and try really stack up the lettuce. Fries were thick cut and crispy. Custard pie was smooth and not super sweet — almost like a giant Chinese egg tart!

Pick your specialty and do it well. Oh, and go big! Nation’s gets it. Their giant cheeseburger is well cooked with melty cheese and very fresh lettuce and tomato on a big, fluffy bun. Simple and delicious. And did I mention big? Simple digs and friendly service round out the experience. If you’re looking for a big, tasty burger, Nation’s is a good choice.
