So sad to hear this place closed! Gene & Chris are such a great feature to this place. What a lovely couple and I’m going to miss them. I didn’t come to this place often but when I’m in town, I try to visit them. You will never get another coffee shop treatment like this again… fresh variety of beans for every cup(coffee) and family like service.

Quaint little coffee shop. Customer service is slightly hit or miss. I’m not sure if I’m just reading them wrong, but some days they’re pretty nice and some days it seems like they’re bothered. They’re an independent business staying afloat in the pool of Starbucks and Peete’s coffee, so that’s gotta say something. Hands down the BEST coffee in the area. They put frozen coffee cubes in your iced coffee! Sadly, there’s no wifi. Just go for the coffee. coffee = 5 stars spotty customer service and lack of wifi drops them to 4

The place is so cute, and the Asian couple who work there were some of the nicest, sweetest people you can imagine. I’m definitely coming back every chance I can get.

Customer Service. Do not go into customer service if you don’t get this concept. I stopped in here desperate for something to eat. I had no idea what to expect, but was pleased by the warm, heavenly smell of coffee and cute décor. All I wanted was a muffin or quite frankly anything to ease my hunger and unfortunately I had no cash ~ which I apologized for. The owner was not happy and showed it even after I said I understood the .35 cent charge for using my debit card. She then asked if I wanted a receipt. When I said«yes please» she sighed and turned around to get it. Maybe it was bad day for them, but it left a bad taste in my mouth(except for the bran muffin. The muffin was good!).

First impression when walking in is like going back in time, very quaint. It was a delight to see non-traditional items for sale available for a coffee shop. The dark-chocolate covered malt balls are great. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Now, why the 2-stars? I asked for a Lime Italian soda with double syrup and a splash of Vanilla — the result was a weak flavoring of lime. As I was leaving I had inadvertantly left my zip-up binder under the table; the pop asked, «Excuse me! Did you leave something? Maybe a bomb?» Really? That was just flat-out rude. Pop is the one who took what was a delightful experience and blew it!

Kitsch level: MAX. We’re talking a coffee shop time machine. It’s like Groundhog Day all over again. Pretty surreal and awesome at the same time. Coffee? It’s very meh, not magnificent. The mom and pop are a tad overbearing when it comes to how you want your coffee. A fun and different experience if you’re in the mood for one and plenty affordable, but nothing mind-blowing.

My workplace neighbors this coffee shop and I’m so glad I’ve decided to give it a try. I come by a few times a week and I usually get an ice blended mocha or an expresso with three shots. The owners are super friendly and welcoming, and the prices are hard to beat. No more Starbucks for me!

Only missing a star for being open short hours. That’s the only reason I’m not in more often. The couple that runs the shop is very nice and I love their selection of teas. Great place to bring a friend to chat. :)

This place has delectable chai tea, my absolute favorite drink. The inside looks like a little, cozy home or cottage and it’s absolutely lovely. From the outside, you would not expect the kinds of treasures inside. I had a marvelous afternoon with a dear friend here catching up and I will definitely go again. Come here for great tea and a wonderful environment!

I love this coffee shop. Gene and Chris are the best! I get an Almond Mocha Roca here quite often. They make it exactly how I want it, hot or cold, 2, 3, or 4 shots of espresso etc. Grab a lotto ticket while you’re here. I will always go here for coffee.

Came just for a drip for my dad and a passionfruit italian soda for me. Can’t say much, because italian soda is pretty straight forward and I didn’t try the coffee which I assume is what they’re known for. Dad wasn’t impressed(he’s the type to like his bold roast boldER), but I’ll come back for the coffee for a proper review.

The first time I walked into this place, I was really surprised. The atmosphere inside was not what I expected from a little coffee shop in a strip mall. It was like a cozy, warm little English cottage inside. It was full of people sitting at the little tables chatting and reading. There was great jazz and classical music playing in the background, and the owners(who’ve been there since long before the coffee craze swept over the US) were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They actually make their own special coffee blend! Although the place was bustling when I stopped by, I noticed that a lot of people just come to buy coffee beans to take home for their daily brew. If you want a great place to read the paper on a weekend morning — this is your spot. But if you want a source to buy some great coffee from people who really know their stuff — this is also your spot.

Such a cute little mom and pop coffee shop. The beans here are of a much better quality than any Starbucks. Plus they sell lotto tickets! Haha But hey have so many little cute knock knacks for sale. It’s hard to go in only for coffee.

Has Beans was our favorite place to go for coffee when we lived in Danville. In part because the coffee is so darned good(highly recommend Diablo Sunrise blend and Chris’ blend). In part because owners Gene and Chris Ono are such special people. We popped back in to Has Beans today on the first morning of a brief stopover in town and as we walked in the door, Gene and Chris called us by name. The thing that makes this remarkable is we now live in Oregon, it had been at least four years since we were last in this wonderful place for great coffee and hospitality. But the Onos are that kind of people and under this tender loving care, Has Beans is that kind of place. As my husband and I had mugs of robust French roast coffee and caught up with Gene and Chris on each other’s lives over the past few years, regulars walked in and without missing a beat, Gene or Chris greeted them by name and started making their beverage without the customer even having to place the order. Not only are their cofee beans terrific(by the way, they ship) and their brewed coffee too, you cannot beat their blended coffee drinks and lattes. Plus they always have an ever changing array of delectable candies and treats to have with your beverage. And if tea is your beverage of choice, this is a great place to put on your radar — they have a broad selection of tea. Once a customer always a fan and a friend of the Ono’s at Has Beans. If you haven’t been in, we highly recommend it! Has Beans is one of the places we miss most about our former home.

After trying to find the best coffee place in the area and seeing the raving reviews on Has Beans, I decided to check it out for myself. Has Beans was everything I ever hoped for and more! I would give them six stars if I could. My mom and I stopped in for a cup of coffee here yesterday and the husband and wife running the place were as sweet as could be! First of all, my mom wanted an Americano($ 1.80). The lady asked her how many sugars she wanted in it and if she wanted to leave room for cream before carefully making it. When she was done, her husband came along to add the cream. He gently offered to pour the cream in and told my mom to tell him«when» he had added enough. Then the wife offered my mom and I a plate of cookie samples. I ended up buying three pieces of biscotti(3 for $ 1.25), which were yummy! Then she started to work on my white chocolate mocha($ 3.00) and offered to top it off with yummy whipped cream and cinnamon or chocolate powder. I chose chocolate, of course. She then placed a long handled teaspoon on the saucer«just in case I wanted to eat the cream.» Very sweet couple. And the coffee… the best white mocha I’ve ever had! It’s my usual order at Starbucks, but Starbucks ain’t got nothin’ on Has Beans. Not too sweet, not too thick. Plus they served it in a HUGE mug(I could barely finish). In terms of the ambiance, it has a great local feel. There were about four or five small tables and the other patrons seemed to be regulars who met there for their usual afternoon cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend this place to have a nice cup of coffee and a chat with a friend. I’m planning on coming in regularly now that I’ve discovered it and might even try their selection of teas next time!

Has Beans was a great spot to catch up with a friend over a loooong coffee. Cozy and welcoming with personal attention to detail on your coffee. I started with a drip and then moved on to a latte, preferring the latter. Better than Peets as some have suggested? Well… I love that it’s not a chain and it looks like it’d be a great place to buy beans if I lived in the area. My drip wasn’t quite as smooth as my favorite chain spot but the latte was very good and the iced coffees others describe sound like something to try too. Plus we stayed forever and the owners didn’t seem to mind at all. No bathroom evident though. Very likely to be a meetup spot for me again in the future. It’s just 2 doors down from where yet another Lourd’s has vacated.
