I ordered lunch for my office from the Cork ‘n ‘Bottle today. They packed each lunch seperately and labeled them. They gave us extra sauces. They were very friendly. The food was pretty good. No one in the office had any complaints. It is good for deli food and that is what they advertise. Good food, great price. They Also have a bar, a sit down bar, in the store. Pretty cool. I will b back.

Best liquor store food in SLO! Who knew??? A liquor store that also serves great food at a great price!!! I believe they have the price so low because they get so much $$$ from selling kegs to drunk idiots, but, that’s a win win for me! I remember when I first came here to check out places before going to school. My buddy suggested to eat here and I ordered the chicken tender pieces with fries and a drink. The price was really reasonable, but the meal was even better! I was filled up quickly! The burger deal is the best in town. A burger with all the fixings, with a side of fries, and a drink for about five bucks. No one has a better deal than that. I have also tried the tri-tip, cheesesteak, and other sandwiches, all very delicious, prepared right in front of you, and an excellent deal. All the meals fill you up and at a great price. What may throw you off here are the stupid drunk college FRAT bros and possible the owner. I think the owner is awesome so long as you don’t say or do something stupid. Service may not be the best here as sell since they do deal with stupid people, but if you make friends with them, they are super chill and extremely comical. I have never bought beer or anything else here, just the cooked food. Overall: Fantastic food, fantastic price, good service!

This liquor store not only has a great selection of alcoholic beverages, but a great selection of tobacco as well. The burgers in their deli are awesome and very reasonably priced. The manager, Eddie, does a great job and is a great guy. Give it a try. You’ll be hooked.

The food was pretty good for a convenience/alcohol shop. The inside is surprisingly roomy. I wouldn’t have guessed it was that big judging from the front of the store. There was also two beer girls promoting Coors while we were there. The one in the front was cool but the one girl in the back was loud and annoying. So they balance each other out.

I love Cork N Bottle. They have been around forever because they are tried and true and nice guys. Delicious lunches that feed the hungry student masses very well. The burgers are the best … Served up on handmade fresh burger buns. I may be slightly biased as it is my moms slotown bakery, Farb’s, who makes them. Regardless, this is one of my favorite spots for a decent burger in SLO, they do her burger buns justice :)

I am sorry to say that C’n’B will only be the second one-star review I’ve ever given on Unilocal. Please understand I write this in an effort to correct what I feel was an unfair policy to us and not to spread malice to an otherwise respected business in San Luis Obispo. It’s not my practice to start Unilocal wars, name calling or otherwise. As I have reviewed other businesses in SLO for their excellence, I so too must consider the reverse. So here we go… Jockey Box, what is it? It’s beer tap built into what looks like a standard cooler. Inside the cooler on the other side of the tap is a coiled metal tube, you put ice inside the cooler to cool off the beer which settles in the coils on its way to the tap. On the other side of the coil, coming out of the cooler is a tube that connects to a keg and it’s all pressured by a smaller tank of compressed C02. It’s a portable beer tap… Got it? Okay good. We needed to rent such an item for our wedding and the only place in town that seemed to supply these for rent was C’n’B. So I did my research, found out what these things cost to buy vs. rent in other cities. The average going rate is around $ 300 used and between $ 25 and $ 50 per day to rent. So we call C’n’B up and find out that yes they rent them for about $ 40 a day but they require a $ 500 deposit(to ward against potential damage to the item). C’n’B apparently rents these things from the beer companies who charge them a lot of money and in turn they have to pass this liability onto the consumer. Fair enough. Still, we found this to be excessive but because we are responsible people, we figured it would be no problem. We stop in two weeks prior to the wedding, put a $ 20 reserve deposit on the Jockey Box and while in the store, confirmed that the $ 500 deposit could be made with a check or credit card. Great… Day of the wedding, I’m the groom and I’ve already had a number of fires to put out that morning. I’m not crazy; let’s just say I’m polite but extremely focused to get some things done. After all, I’m about 4 hours away from getting married and I had to break away to pick up the jockey box at C’n’B. I walk in, give them our reservation name and prepare to either write them a check or(reluctantly) use a credit card for a deposit. The guy behind the counter gives me back my $ 20 deposit and says bluntly«Cash only.» I explained that we were told check or credit cards would work and he then told me that was not the case. I said«I’m 4 hours from getting married, I don’t have time to get $ 500 cash.» He then lectured me on how expensive jockey boxes were(as though I were renting a brick of gold, I ask you?) It’s an igloo cooler with some Macgyvering done to it. I’ve had an easier time renting a luxury car at the airport! What’s more, I don’t care who you are or where you come from, are you really going to give a guy behind the counter of a liquor store $ 500.00 cash without a lawyer present? So I shut off, I’m not giving these people my hard earned cash over a beer tap, I grabbed my $ 20 drove out of my way to a competing liquor store, rented a keg tap for $ 10 and apologized to our bar tenders that they would have to be pumping a keg all night long. Then realizing we had no ice tub for the keg, 1 hour before I was supposed to be standing next to my future wife reciting vows, I was in a line at BevMo sweating bullets renting an ice tub for the keg. After all that extra running, I had about 20 minutes to get into my tux and drive to the wedding. So in the end all was well and while I can put this out of my mind, it needs to be asked: If they are SO valuable and SO much trouble, why offer these stupid jockey boxes at all? Why? Why? Why? And why treat a guy so coldly in his wedding day? As though I was going to steal the thing and sell it on the black market. I suppose I’ll never forget how much running around I did on my wedding day and it will be a funny story I tell for years to come. On the flip-side, those hours I wasted doing that over a stupid policy disagreement could have been better spent with the people I loved that day and for that alone, here is your star. Good Luck but count me off your list –E

Probably the best burger deal in SLO and definitely my favorite fries. They make a pretty killer philly too. The guys who work here are great, as long as you can appreciate some vulgar humor. The liquor store is pretty average, but they often have some great special or vendors such as Jäger or Jameson visiting and giving away free schwag.

This spot is the best spot for Burgers and Alchy in the Foothill/Santa Rosa area. The two people that I always see working there, one behind the cash register and one manning the grill, look like hard-molded Russian Mafioso. But after you get to know them, they’re pretty freaking awesome. Since I’m not 21 yet(must settle with aspiring for Elite ’12 status), I always come here for their burgers and fries. I always get the Classic 1⁄3 pounder which comes with fresh fries and a 16 oz. drink. The burger’s quality and taste is par with In-N-Out. The patty is meaty, lettuce is nice and fresh, the tomatoes are mouth-watering, and the 1000 island dressing is the kicker. The fries are BOOOOMB! Better than In-N-Out for sure. They’re crispy yet small, so you can throw about 5 in your mouth at once. Oh, and the alcohol selection is wide.

I like the deal for burgers and fries. Last time I checked it was like 4.95 for a 1⁄3 pound burger with fries + drink and 5.95 for a ½ pound burger with fries + drink. The guy that runs the store is a Lakers fan and hilarious. Always joking around. Good selection and decent prices for all your drinking needs.

Every alcoholics dream. These people let us buy a keg at 1:59 in the morning and THEN gave us a shopping cart so we could push it down the street back to the house. How could you NOT give them 5 stars?

When you first look at it from the outside, it’s just a little liquor store, but when you step inside, there’s actually a grill and kitchen there! I was surprised when I came here for the first time. My friends suggested to eat here and I was like, «at a liquor store?» They serve mainly burgers. They’re not bad, but not great either. Sometimes the service can be a bit shabby. The good thing about this place is the burgers are relatively cheap. However, if you’re looking for a good burger joint, I’d go across the street to The Shack instead. Just a bit pricier.

I used to live down the street from this liquor store and it’s more than just a liquor store/deli. Two words: Chicken Strips. THEBEST I’ve had anywhere. Don’t know how to describe it really, but you have to try them. They’re decently priced for a good amount of chicken. I never went in there too much for alcohol to be honest. Prices are decent with a good amount a variety, but nothing spectacular. I mostly went in there for a quick bite. The owner is very friendly and engaging. Fun to talk to and watch him talk with others. Lots of college customers(seeing that Cal Poly is right down the road). Be careful not to stumble in here if you’re already inebriated, cops frequent this shop for a bite as well.

I wouldn’t have known that they served burgers driving past this place, someone informed me they did and I was surprised. The burger was good, nothing special — other than the price being pretty reasonable. I got the combo which came with fries and a drink — so a full meal for pretty cheap. The burger was what you’d expect — kinda greasy but tasty. I got the cheeseburger with mushrooms. They have a couple different options for burgers, I wouldn’t mind going back to try it again. The food is better than you’d expect coming from just a part of a liquor store.

Procrastination at its finest. As I am too braindead to work on grad school applications, I will instead write a review about the place that I spent a large part of my undergrad life at. Whenever I was about to lose my #@$% because I was afraid of my senior project never getting finished or that I was failing quantum mechanics, the burger special here somehow made it all better. I mean, who doesn’t love eating burgers in a liquor store off of patio furniture? Right? On my most recent trip down to Santa Barbara, I saved my hunger for a burger from this place while in route. It is more expensive than it used to be, but it is just as good as I remember. The burger isn’t what stands out, it’s the seasoning on the fries! No wonder I was fat in college. The ordering system is a little confusing. You order at the cash register and then walk to the kitchen with your order… they don’t have some system in place to make it easier. But at the end of the day, something about eating a cheap burger in a makeshift bar that’s sectioned off from the main liquor store by twentyfour packs of canned beer and furnished with whatever crap is on sale at Orchard Supply Hardware is very comforting.

Had a pretty terrible burger here, and its pretty hard to fuck up a burger. Get a burger somewhere else, it’s not worth the calories. It may have been the owner, not sure, but he was a cocky asshole. I am being generous here and giving two stars because they serve up alcohol and you can drink a six-pack while eating your shitty burger at least. I will support Campus Bottle for my alcoholic needs. Update– confirmed, the guy is still a cocky asshole!
