Unfriendly service, salad drowning in what tasted like bottled salad dressing, meat had no flavor.

Great food & nice seating area. Had the meat lovers plate with beef & lanb, salad & rice. Not salty like some places, fresh & good portion. Family had falafels, gyro & baclava & loved it.

Came in today during the lunch break and ordered the lamb/beef gyro with fries to-go. The place was almost full with diners enjoying their food but there was no line so I was in and out fairly quickly. Service was very good. Now to the meal. The food was packaged up nicely and the portions were great, but my gyro meat was really salty and I usually don’t mind salt. So if it’s salty in my book, it’s probably too salty for the average person. I’ll come try the place again and will probably opt for one of the rice plates. Hoping that may be a better fit for my taste buds.

Two very different experiences from ROBEE’S FALAFEL on Cottle… On the first visit, I ordered the Gyro Wrap with fries. It was about $ 8 and was ready in a little less than 10 minutes. The fries were piping hot and plentiful, and the gyro was really delicious. I liked the big hunks of fresh cut lamb/beef gyro meat. The pita was thick and durable, and the tahini was good. I also added some of their hot sauce and loved every bite of it. The next time however, it wasn’t as good. In fact, it wasn’t very good at all. I pumped it up to my wife about how good it was, so we went back. I had the ultimate meat plate(beef, chicken and falafel), with pitas, rice and hummus. My wife got a chicken shwarma salad of some sort. The beef and chicken was so dry it was borderline inedible. The falafel and rice was decent, but the rest was not good at all. My wife also said her chicken was hard and gross and she ended up throwing away most of her meal. So two very mixed visits. The first experience was great! The second was very poorly done. I will eventually check it out again, but I’ll definitely stick to the gyro wrap. 4.5 star gyro and fries. 2 star shwarma plate and salad… 3.5 stars.

First never been to a Mediterranean Resturant themed Before. The food was surprisingly good and me and my lady both had the chicken and beef kebab with rice, salad and pita bread. The beef and chicken had good flavor and very tender. The salad was delicious with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing and the rice added a nice touch. Clean place with a very nice and welcoming staff.

Nice customer service, good portion of food for the price but everything tasted salty, including the French fries & salad dressing :( The only thing is not salty are the rice & pita bread. Probably won’t be back unless they cut back on the salt. We tossed away half of our food & barely touched the fries or salad bc of the saltiness.

I was really excited to see a Falafel place opening in this new shopping center on Cottle. I love falafel and I love gyros so I waited for them to open, pressing my face against the glass. The first thing I tried was the lamb gyro. The wait was worth it. Well seasoned and not dry. Good fries too(good fries are important). I’ve also tried the gyro salad which was very good. Their dressing is really tasty. It might be me, but I would suggest they soak their greens in water for 20 – 30 minutes when they come in. My greens felt a tiny bit gritty, which can even happen with«pre washed» greens. The prices are great, and the service is friendly. So glad they’re in the area and will be back.

Was really excited to try this place out however was a BIG let down. The quality of the food was awful it was blend and tasteless. Our food took forever to get ready about 20 min for chicken and beef shawarma wrap. After checking the counter to see why are food taking so long I saw the our food just sitting there inside their counter kitchen cold as an ice. Overall disappointed, what a waste of time and money!

Thr place was clean and well decorated. The food was presented well and you could tell they didn’t skimp on anything. I had the falafel in a wrap and it was really good. The falafel was fresh and crunchy! Not 100% authentic but much better than I’ve had in a while!

I’m a gyro enthusiast, and was glad to find this place. They provide a generous portion of well seasoned meat, perfect tzatziki sauce, a huge heap of fries, and the staff has always been great. Their portions are big for the price, and I don’t mind having leftovers. Have to say I wasn’t crazy about the shawarma seasoning the one time I tried it, but I’m still really glad overall to have this place as an option.

Decent first impression. I was looking for something different to eat today, and I stumbled across this place as I walked around the restaurant and shopping complex. I ordered the lamb and beef gyros wrap. The meat was not excessively salty, as is the norm for this kind of food, but the seasoning was also a little lacking. The amount of meat was rather generous and was cut into long strips as opposed to the shavings that I’ve gotten at other places. It probably could have used a little more onion and tomatoes. The tzatziki sauce was pretty good. The flatbread was a little overcooked but not charred. I got it with a side of fries, and was given a pretty hearty serving. Service was a bit on the slow side. I was there at a time when there were only 3 tables occupied and only one person in front of me in line, but it still took over 10 minutes to receive my food. During the busier times it could be a little slower even. Prices were okay — probably just right for the type of food. The falafel seem to be more expensive than expected, but I didn’t order any and it’s possible that they could be quite large as compared to the falafel at Falafel Stop in Sunnyvale or Falafel’s Drive-In near Valley Medical Center. But I did enjoy my meal, and I’ll certainly come back to try some of the other offerings soon.

Went here last night. Though the Unilocal category says Middle Eastern it tasted nothing like what we have gotten used to at «Dish Dash» or «Dish n Dash» in Sunnyvale. The food at Robee’s Falafel was bland. I expected some taste and flavor but there was neither. I ordered the Chicken Kebab plate and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Kebab wrap. My boyfriend was complaining he only got 4 pieces of chicken in his wrap. Although it looks big it was full of lettuce :) I was satisfied with my portion but again it lacked flavor. And to their credit they do have quite a few drink selections so that’s a plus. May go back once to try the lamb before crossing this place off of our list.

+1 takeout was ready when promised +1 food tastes good and not too expensive +1 good amount of meat on sandwiches +1 shawarma uses lavash(not tortilla) +1 lentil soup was legit & tastey Place looks brand new, still smells like new construction inside. Beef shawarma was well seasoned & not dry. Personally would have prefered pickles on it but still good. Need to go back to try the falefel. Nice having parking right out front for take out.

I was very excited to find that a falafel place had opened up so close to home, which would be much more convenient than driving across town to my usual spot, the Falafel Drive In. Unfortunately, I didn’t fall in love with this place. I ordered the falafel wrap, which was huge(that’s a plus), but I felt it was very bland. Every single bite seemed to lack flavor, even the tahini sauce couldn’t save it. However, the customer service here was great. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and answered all my questions. My food was ready fairly quick, which is another definite plus. I also really like the furniture and décor, it was very modern. I will definitely give this place another go and try something different.

Robee’s Falafel off Cottle Rd in SJ just opened! Pretty good stuff! Their gyro’s are pretty stacked and filling. They also have Shawarma and baklava I’ll have to try another time. Overall, a pleasant experience. Food was enjoyable, flavorful and satisfying. It’s in one of those plaza’s that’s becoming way to common with Panda Express, Chipotle & Five Guys found in every new development being built. This was a pleasant surprise

Was excited to see this place had opened after seeing the ‘opening soon’ sign for what felt like ages! Been twice so far(going again tonight, my gf needs to try it) and place doesn’t disappoint. Both times got the gyro which can was comparable to any gyro I’ve eaten in San Jose(if not better) Great value, great food. Check this place out. You won’t be disappointed if you are after good quality Mediterranean food!

I’ve eaten at many of a Mediterranean restaurant and this is one of the best! I’m not originally from CA(shocking), and I’ve had the hardest time finding a Mediterranean restaurant that was good and now I’m extremely happy. You have to have all the food groups to call on when you’re in the mood(Mediterranean, pizza, Thai, Chinese). And if Mediterranean isn’t on your list then you need to eat here. Even with the pain of starting their third restaurant they still delivered and amazingly tasty and filling meal. That Robee’s that was great! Try the Greek beer as well it was very good.

Service: 4.5÷5 Food: 2.5÷5 I was very excited to see a «healthy fast food» place around the sea of Chinese food and greasy burgers! I got a to go order with 3 dishes; mix shawarma plate, mix kabob plate and a falafel plate. The order was ready within about 20 minutes(on time) the lady at the counter was nice and was for the most part was able to tell me what each plate included. Shawarma plate(2.5÷5): mix of beef and chicken shawarma was nice. The meat is a bit dry and the seasoning is good, but it is not really the authentic shawarma seasoning. Rice is good yellow rice style. The salad had lots of wilted greens which was a bit of a let down because the dressing I actually liked. Kabob plate: 1 chicken, 1 beef. Smaller pieces than other kabob places. The beef was a bit overdone and chewy and the chicken was again on the dry side. Chicken has light marinade taste and the beef seems like to have no marinade. The humus is very smooth, light humus taste more garlic flavor to it. Rice same. Same wilted salad greens. Falafel plate: Falafel is not bad, big patties. Taste pretty food. Wilted salad and ok humus. Baklava: Always important to try! Every place has a very different baklava. This one has a strong taste of cardamom and is light on the sweetness. Pita — almost forgot! — these are the thin kind. Overall, the place is ok and I love that everything I have tried is light on sodium and sugar! Thank you guys really! My only thing is that it was light on marinade/seasoning as well, so it makes it a tad bit bland.(Try sumac and cinnamon for the meat and rice) I’ll probably be back at some point because of the convenience and distance. But I do tend to go a few miles farther for a bit of a more authentic flavors.
