Peet’s Coffee and Tea

Long time Peet’s customer, obviously not at the SJC airport Peet’s. The was by far the rudest encounter Peet’s employee I have ever had!
First, it’s 6am, so no line, they are not busy. I asked for a decaf, all the lady said was «only regular!» Period. No other offer or comments. Then I said decaf latte? No words, I followed with is it Major D blend? She replied «NO». No biggie, paid and waited.
My son wanted some milk, I know him, he really just wanted a sip, so I asked for a courtesy cup and filled maybe ¼ (if that). The same Peet’s lady yelled out from the counter, «WE NORMALLY CHARGE FOR THAT!!!» I looked at her and wanted to say «this is less milk than some people put in their regular coffee!» I didn’t because I didn’t want to make a scene in front of my 6 year old. The lady then said «fine this time» so I walked away. Happy to pay for it just didn’t appreciate the rudeness and the inconsiderate of her yelling across the counter!

Umm this is Peet’s and they don’t take Peet’s gift cards. Why the heck not?!? Still ordered our drinks and they came out way too hot and tasted like watered down coffee. Head over to Starbucks instead.

This branch has the rudest cashiers i have encountered. If you don’t like your job, don’t take it out on customers.

This is a half star even though you are seeing one. I’ve finally learned my lesson, don’t go any Peet’s coffee if they don’t accept Peet’s gift card, first is the Speciality, second is the one in the airport. Why? The latte that I had tasted something that you can get it from the vendor machine. So next time, ask whether they accept gift card, if the answer is ‘No’, please excuse yourself and leave immediately.

Why subject yourself to the barista? She is loud, obnoxious, and obviously doesn’t mind loudly cursing in the work place.

Flew out of California yesterday and decided to try this over Starbucks since I don’t have them where I live. Absolutely loved it! Tried the white chocolate macadamia iced latte and my boyfriend had an vanilla and maple javiva blended (like a frappuccino). We finished it before our flight even left! Would definitely get it again.

it’s inside the gates so it’s convenient place to enjoy some coffee while waiting to board. however, the coffee itself is too strong for my taste. tip: i like the fact that they offer soy or almond milk latte!

Shandi is amazing. I am at the airport a lot an always stop by at Pete’s. For the most part customer service at the airport sucks and I don’t expect too much from it. However, Shandi makes the experience pleasant every time and has no problem making a drink to my taste.

The young woman at the counter was serving me and I asked her a few questions about the cup sizes and she seemed annoyed about it. Then after getting my husband’s coffee, I gave her a $ 20 bill and she handed the cash back to me disarrayed and I was trying to fit it in my wallet and she was very rude and had no consideration about the service she just gave and was rushing the next customer up while I was still there. I then stood there waiting for my coffee and it was not very busy and her co-​worker, also a young woman, didn’t even announce my coffee and when I asked her if it was my coffee, she annoyingly said yes. Very poor service here, and not much expected at a fast paced coffee bar, but it was even bad for that. The girls were young and rude.

Just got a coffee near the American Airlines gates at San Jose Airport. Normally I love the service at all Peet’s, but this was below par. The barista seemed to resent that I asked her to add a packet of sweetner to my cappuccino. Later when I tried to confirm that the coffee on the counter was mine, her comment was that it had been called out a while before, like if I didn’t hear it the first time, I don’t deserve to ask questions later. I hope it is just a bad day for her. I wish her a better day tomorrow.

Peet’s was my favorite and daily coffee shop when I lived in SF. Since I moved to Texas, I don’t drink as much coffee, however anytime I come across a Peet’s during my travels, I stop for a latte macchiato!

I’m giving this place one star, because they don’t operate as a Petes Coffee. «Real» Petes coffee accepts gift cards and coupons. This location does not.

Just had the worst latte of my life from Peets – bitter, barely warm, hardly any foam. Took a couple sips, dumped it and headed to Starbucks! I’m a dyed in the wool Peetnik, too! SOOO disappointed.

First off, it’s Peet’s. Had a difficult time trying to find this place on Unilocal.Sure this place might be slow at times, but so is Starbucks a couple gates over. Worth the wait for quality coffee that actually wakes you up compared to the watered down stuff at the other place. Plus the baristas are friendly and efficient.

Why even bother with Starbuck’s when Peet’s is right here to help out?

It’s an airport Pete’s, but it wasn’t packed and the made a decent iced latte. Service was fairly fast and several folks finished their internal argument. Always an interesting stop.

Granted, it is 5:30 am and they’re busy minting money from the morning coffee rush. I paid for a large and got something akin to a medium with about 2″ of empty space on top. Did not ask for room for cream so they assumed I want to buy extra air this morning.
Tip: Don’t order a large, just pay for a small next time and get an empty cup. They play it safe and round down for ya.

This Peet’s is past security inside Terminal B. It seems to be a franchise that does not accept Peet’s card and the drinks are usually machine made, which makes the quality slightly sub-​par compared to corporately owned Peet’s.
My Small Single Latte came out over $ 4 and it was only mediocre.
…at least they were friendly?

This is an a-​ok peets in the San Jose airport. It is a no frills kiosk. A small vanilla latte ran me about $ 5 — seems a bit higher than most coffee shops. The latte was good except at the bottom you can definitely taste the syrup.

Great service and coffee as always but only the price is higher due to airport location.
Note: They open at 4:30am until the last flight.

Starbucks is right in front of the security exit, pass it by and go to Peet’s.
Much better quality and taste.

I got an iced latte that tasted like iced milk. The espresso was weak or they put one less shot than a medium called for.
Disappointing for Peet’s Coffee. :(

For a chain coffee place Peet’s is in the top 2.

Peets coffee is seen, right after the security check. If you want coffee, wait in the long line… I learned my lesson. I thought there would be a coffee place near my gate, but there wasn’t any. I almost missed my flight because I was in the line. For the Starbuck drinkers, there is no Starbucks there right now! So, get your coffee ASAP!
FYI-​this Peets doesn’t accept gift cards!
