KFC

I will limit my review to this last visit, however I will note that this particular location is always out of chicken. The last 5 times we have been there we had to wait over 20 minutes for them to cook some.
This visit was no different. We even called ahead to ask if they had chicken (which if you think about it is kinda strange). We were told yes, got there, and low and behold… no chicken. Again we had to wait while they cooked some. About 25 minutes later we received our order. The upside is that the chicken was fresh and hot, the down side, it took about half an hour to get fast food, which defeats the purpose.
We get our meal home and to add insult to injury, one of our sides was missing, the mashed potatoes were cold, and the mac n cheese had a funny taste. I called and was offered an additional side if I came to get the missing one, but at this point we were starving and not interested in having to go back. We’d wasted enough time with them.
This place needs some better management when it comes to production or maybe an additional fryer or two. Clearly they struggle keeping up with demand. They could also use some better quality control to ensure orders are assembled correctly. Nobody wants to have to make a second trip for a forgotten side. Mistakes happen, but a double check would cut down on them.
I have given this place plenty of chances, so I will be driving an additional couple miles to a different location the next time we get the craving.

The lobby and dining area are filthy makes you wonder about the cooking and prep area’s

Had been craving fried chicken for a while and I haven’t been to a KFC in over two years. I woke up this morning and decided to pursue my chicken dreams by indulging in some good, greasy fried chicken.
The establishment is relatively clean, very small, and no drive through. I usually like to drive through for fast food to hide my shame, but I marched in with full pride to order my meal.
The values and prices are good — particularly for families. I got a 2 piece «Value Meal», which includes a chicken leg, thigh, mashed potatoes, a biscuit, a drink, and a cookie.
First, it’s way too much food. And the quality tasted much better in my head. I could barely finish the chicken leg without feeling woozy from the amount of grease I had just consumed. The mashed potatoes are flavorless, but went well with the buttery biscuit.
Overall, great value but quality is atrocious. I would rather pay more for higher quality elsewhere.

One would think that at one of the only KFCs around the owner/​scheduler would staff the place adequately on a Sunday evening. I literally wrote this review while standing in line, waiting to order while also checking the score of the warriors game.
It wasn’t because the place was crowded, but they had the single cashier also prepping the orders. Is this not some type of health violation? I’ve been here numerous times before but I haven’t had this experience before.
Thank you Meridian location kFC, you just improved my health as this is the last time I ever come back. I will continue to write as I have nothing else to occupy my time wasting time as i stand here in line.
The cashier isn’t totally at fault, although he could probably move faster and acknowledge the crowd waiting in front of him. Oh, wait, now he is cooking the chicken too. Wow, guess they have a very broad job description here.
I still can’t fathom that during the 20 minutes nobody from the other side of the counter even looked up.
Actually as I move a little closer to the front of the line, i can see other employees in the back doing nothing.

After ordering I needed to add this comment. You would think that giving change back would be simple as their register states it. But it took the guy 3 minutes to calculate which coins to give me back. Mensa anyone?
Another update, I take my comment about the Cashier back, he put the wrong size lid on the gravy and it spilled all over the place.
I challenge the owner to respond

My visit to this KFC with my son today was a disaster. The toilet was full of feces and toilet paper, the floor was filthy and sticky, customer waste was on tables, the trash bins were full, and the delivery of our food order took a long time. I was overcharged and a cookie was missing in the order. Don’t know what’s going on here, but if they don’t clean up their act, I would not be surprised if someone, or multiple people, end of getting very ill from the filth.

It’s about 30 min until closing, and Rosa is nothing but smiles and happy to serve us. Going above and beyond. One item in particular we ordered (and have never ordered before) was the pink lemonade. Rosa went to grab a bottle and was not satisfied with the way they looked and insisted on making us a fresh one. Treated us super well and we keep coming back!
30 min for strips — BYE

Not sure why all the complaints but KFC is fairly consistent. That being said I was just helped by Rosa as the cashier and would just like to say how nice she treats everyone. I never get this type of caring from any fast food provider and I come here more often because of it.

It’s 10:56 am and the door is locked. Saw some employees try to open the front door as I went and tried the side. They saw me for sure but didn’t apologize for it being closed. Place opens at 10:00 Am. Not even going to bother coming in.

This was the most disgusting fast food experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the restaurant filthy dirty but there was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom and wafting into the main dining room area! When I looked at Unilocal reviews people were posting about this 8 months ago and saying that employees had said sewage was backing up into the bsthroom. This is a major health issue. Reporting this to the health department!

How do you run out of chicken so often? After all chicken is in your name. The only good thing is the strawberry lemonade that they have. That is why they got a star. The staff is so slow. If you want KFC, go to a different location.

Like the fact that the meals taste the same in all franchise locations. Yes it is a bit greasy but what do you expect when the chicken is dumped in a bin full of grease. Have some common sense people don’t eat this more than twice a month because it will get you sick.

The restaurant had some sort of odor, not the odor of food. Nothing was ready at 6:45 pm, everyone had to wait for both chicken and wedges. The chicken was just okay, the potato wedges had the flavor of what seemed like fish.

Do you like eating In a restroom? Do you like the smell of diapers? You will love this KFC. Chicken is a bit stale but the diaper smell permeates everything. Would eat and poop here again.

Place is horrible. The manger has the worst attitude. She was slamming things around including the food orders. I have been waiting for my food for about 20 min. now and at last they can tell me what is the delay. I will never be back to this place again. The cashier was taking orders and preparing the food. Unsanitary!!!

Talk about being slow and dirty. The floor is dirty. Even on a slow Sunday evening, when I’m the only one in the place, I wait 20 mins from the time I order to get my food.
Only came to this place because I wanted comfort food.

I stop by this joint on my way home when my pops is craving hot wings. I get off at 9pm most nights and every time I stop by here, they don’t have fresh hot wings. Even better is that they’d make my order fresh if I wait 10 minutes for them to fry it. Staff is friendly, and I haven’t had any stomach aches from the food here. All in all, they serve their purpose well. Minus one star for not having a drive thru.
Also!!! Just found out they close at 10. Unilocal says they close @ 11.

Saw the KFC ad on TV for boneless chicken and stopped by on impulse.
The interior of the restaurant and area was very blue-​collar. The interior of the restaurant was littered with crumbs everywhere…
Ordered a 2 piece dark with 2 sides instead of the drink. Hint: The price of a side is the same as the drink!
The two piece dark meat chicken was relatively fresh, surprisingly! The chicken was pretty juicy and not too oily.
The boneless chicken was on special for $ 1/​piece. Surprisingly, it was very salty.
The potato wedges were mediocre. The ones from Evvia in Palo Alto were much better.
The coleslaw was amazingly good… served in a reusable container too!
…next time I’ll stick to Addendum in Yountville for fried chicken!
…my stomach didn’t feel too well all afternoon…

I’m actually a fan of KFC. Yes, I know I’m gross.
This is the closest KFC to where we live right now and I’m usually craving their honey BBQ wings every once inawhile. So I guess I’d have to stop in here since it’s convenient.
This KFC is the only one I’ve been to up in the Bay and it reminds me of the ghetto walk-​in ONLY ones in LA. MEH!
MEH! For 3 reasons:
1. Dollar Menu sucks ass here, they have like 4 – 5 items listed.
2. No Drive-​thru (WTF?! I gotta get my mcfatty ass outta the car and walk?!)
2. The wait for food is a bit long for FAST food
