I can’t say anything more about it. My staffs love Bambu and want to have it every week. Their menu looks so yummy! My favorite is number 1. You could ask them add coconut juice instead of sugar water. I need to get my sugar down but still love these yummy deserts. Wow…

I always feel bad for the place because there is never more than one or two people here while snowflake and 85 are always so crowded, but I think the lack of business is deserved. Just wanted a quick caffeine fix last night without having to wait in line at the other places so we decided to go here and order a hot hazelnut coffee and a milk tea less sweet with coffee jelly. The hot coffee came in a styrofoam cup that wasn’t filled up and it tasted like hot milk with a little hazelnut flavoring – she forgot the espresso. The milk tea came with just pearls at first even though I specifically asked for coffee jelly and not pearls and the look of complete irritation on the cashiers face when I asked her to fix it was really off putting. When I did get the drink, it basically tasted like milk with ice which I’m assuming is how they made it less sweet? At least the coffee jelly was good.

I fell in LOVE with Vietnamese dessert after discovering Bambu. Now, it takes a lot of self-control to not come here every other day! My go-to drink is #9 — simple and not too heavy since it’s just coconut milk with grass jelly and che. #10 is quite good as well. I’ve tried the ones with taro or red bean, but I find those a bit too heavy for my own taste. For the avocado lovers, I’ve heard #5 is quite tasty. I’ve tried the Bambu in other areas in the Valley(e.g. Fremont location) as well but I’ve got to say, this location has the freshest ingredients. They also started a stamp card/rewards program recently so you can get a free drink after 10 stamps! Be mindful that the card only works at the Cupertino and De Anza locations.

BAMBU is known for its Thai/Viet-styled mixed drinks. Instead of just being boring tea & tapioca balls, they add all sorts of ingredients(fruits, red/mung beans, ice, coconut, seeds, jellies, pearls) to their drinks. Their specialty drinks are somewhat of a mixture between a sweet tea drink and shaved ice. The way they blend it is much better than similar stores. I think what I liked the most was their boba substitute, which was flat and mildly sweet. Unlike regular boba, which starts tasting sticky and making my teeth hurt after eating so many, BAMBU’s was consistently delicious and easy to chew. Prices were quite reasonable. Would definitely come back again.

I love the drinks they serve here! Not only do they offer a variety of toppings(that are all delicious!!), their dessert is like a shaved ice, perfect for hot summer days. When I came here with my friend, I ordered a #3 substituting coconut milk with coconut juice. And needless to say, it was so good that within ten minutes I had slurped the whole thing up! My friend ordered a kiwi strawberry smoothie, and when I first saw it was surprised because it was brown. But I realized it was because they used natural juices and didn’t add food coloring to it! This is a great joint for those who want to get out of the summer heat yet still stay healthy!

This location of Bambu is fairly new and is next to 85 degree bakery. Be careful with parking! Very nice and clean! It has some seating area. I had the strawberry smoothie, especially on a hot day… it was just right! Something to cool me down.

The drinks here are AMAZING! All the toppings are great, and I love that they use coconut milk as the base for the dessert drinks. They have just the right balance of sweetness, and I feel like I’ll be going to this place long after I get sick of other over-sweetened dessert/drink places around the area. You really can’t go wrong with any of the topping combinations, but I personally like the crunchy red tapioca and chewy pandan jelly. Highly recommend!

If there were fifty shades of green describing avocado smoothies, the drink I had here would be at the most dismal end of the spectrum. Maybe I went on an off day or something but the avocado smoothie I got was so diluted and(for lack of apt adjective) so un-avocado-tasting that my sister and I couldn’t finish it tag-teaming. I’ve gotten the same thing at other Bambu locations and you can literally SEE the difference. This one looked like a pale, watered down green slushy. The fresh coconut on top(that you can request at no charge) was the only redeeming factor that merited the extra star here.

Love this place so much! It’s something new and they offer many unique concoctions of rainbow-colored drinks that are surprisingly refreshing and ridiculously delicious :) My favorites picks from Bambu are #6 and #10(both with a coconut milk base): * I love the texture of these drinks from the wobbly and squishy pandan jellies to the firmer grass jellies. Mix all that with crunchy red tapioca and it tastes amazing! * If you prefer additional fruits in your cup, #6 has jack fruit, lychee, longan, long strips of coconut and palm seeds. I personally like this better than the rest since it has everything! Plus, having all the fruits just make it that much more refreshing. * Inexpensive drinks! For just $ 3.75, It is a very filling dessert that leaves me full! And honestly, I feel much more satisfied paying for this than a cup of boba from Quickly’s, which costs about the same. Tips: * Like other places around here, it’s cash only! * For a thicker and creamier cha, choose anything with red beans in it or their avocado drinks(it’s so thick that it feels like drinking guacamole from a straw… lol)

Got me some jasmine milk tea(black tea I think) with lychee jelly and it is just as good as the San Jose location. It is loaded with lychee jelly and I love eating the pieces on the bottom once I finish all the tea haha. It is pretty empty in there since everyone goes to 85 degrees so we pretty much had the place to ourselves like pimps. It is quite small but very clean and quaint so if you want some bobes and a place to chill in the Cupertino area, this is a great spot to hit up. Good times :)

Not sure if other BAMBUs do this or not, but at this location you have a choice between a regular or large sized drink. The other locations I’ve been to only sell the large – which makes sense because I don’t think I’d ever get a regular since the drinks are so ridiculously amazing. The best best best thing at BAMBU is the pandan jelly. It’s like boba if boba were more thick and noodlish and tasted faintly of green tea. Amazing. I’m more of a fan of coconut juice than coconut milk, so the #1 has been my go-to lately. The fruit(longan, lychee) here seem fresher than at other locations. Really hope they can keep up the quality!

This time a young girl took my order, and she seemed pretty nervous. Plus, she didn’t fill my drink to the top like the owner does… But she took my Taro Coconut order wrong(she gave me coconut smoothie) and I didn’t realize it until I got to the car, but the owner was nice enough to make me a new drink free of charge! Red Bean Combo($ 3.95) –Red bean, taro, pandan jelly, coconut milk –tasted divine Avocado Smoothie($ 3.95) –Wasn’t filled to top to the dome! –Avocado goodiness Taro Coconut Smoothie($ 3.95) –I think the loud music that was playing made her think I ordered a coconut smoothie, Coconut smoothie wasn’t filled to the top anyway… –It didn’t blew me away, maybe pure Taro next time? –Owner made this, so it was filled to the DOME Overall: This place is good, but it gets busy really fast. If there’s 2 – 3 people ahead of you, drinks and making your order gets delayed. I like the owner, but the other folks better shape up in filling that smoothie all the way to the dome!

Came here after seeing the huge lines at 85 degrees and thought I would check out this location. I’ve been to other locations before but this one seemed quite empty. But the service was great, my friend was able to customize a drink and I went ahead and ordered a strawberry smoothie. The strawberry smoothie was nice and didn’t have that often sour strawberry taste as other places. Overall, clean store, there’s seating inside, good and quick service, plus plenty of parking(:

SUCH good dessert, and the softestost perfectly brewed tapioca I have ever had! And I am pretty critical of pearl milk teas :-) Of course, it’s a place for Che but the milk teas and smoothies are very good too. I really like the Papaya smoothie!

Tasty pearl tea! Their milk black tea is really good, the fruit flavored black tea isn’t as sweet which is good as well. I like my pearls on the less mushy side, but good drink regardless! Speedy service and appreciate they accept credit cards!

I’ve been keeping my eye on this new strip mall that has renovated recently – waiting for it to open. Finally, this past weekend, I saw some«Grand Opening» signs, so I drove through the parking lot and found that only one or two stores were open. Bambu was one of them. Brand new place, so a nice clean, modern feel. They let you customize your own drink. I put together my usual concoction of coconut milk base, with taro, basil seed and red bean. That’s happiness in a cup for me. I usually ask for the ice to be at the base of the drink instead of on top, but I didn’t feel like explaining myself. It’s a bit of a chore to 1) communicate if the server isn’t competent in English(I’ve had difficulties explaining myself before at other Bambu branches). And 2) a pain to convince the server that it’s possible to put the ice at the bottom instead of the top. You’d be surprised how stubborn they can be about insisting how the drink *should* be served! Nothing to complain about here. I love CHE. Love it so much that I’m planning to make it at home someday soon. And when I do, I’m going to shake mine in a cocktail shaker to make it ice-cold, with the ice on the bottom, so that the ice doesn’t get in the way of getting to all the goodies floating in your drink!

I go to a lot of BAMBU stores because I love che. I was very excited to know that one was opening next to my parents house meaning that I do not have to go all the way to SJ to fulfill my BAMBU cravings anymore. The service was quick and the employees were nice. The cool thing that I noticed is that next door they are constructing an 85C bakery and a Snowflake/Hotpot so this place will be getting some good service in a couple months.

BAMBU’s are opening all across the Bay Area and I was under the wrong impression that they served Taiwanese-style boba drinks and tea. Pleasantly surprised that they are actually a very mainstream and popular place focusing more on Vietnamese dessert drinks such as che’. I ordered the #1BAMBU special with coconut, pandan jelly, longan and basil seed and was given an option between small and large. Ended up going for the large at $ 5.50, which was a bit more than I expected, but it was a nice refreshing drink. It’s topped with a lot of crushed ice but mix well and it cools and dilutes the rest of the drink. I enjoyed the longan and coconut, but overall found this much less sweet and flavorful than the more traditional Vietnamese che drinks I’ve had. Might need to order a few more to find one that suits me best, but did like the quick service, clean and modern interior, and plentiful selection. As a side note, this is one of the first tenants since this old shopping center got torn down. It was predominantly a small Japanese or Chinese grocery before so it’s disappointing that not more has opened up in this center right off Highway 85. Hopefully BAMBU will signal some more new tenants moving in here. BAMBU accepts credit cards, including American Express.
