Ok. So this was a hassle to say the least. But it ended on a very good note. I came in here to do an exchange. My lil sis had bought me a pair of shoes here for Christmas but they were a size too small. No biggie, I had the gift receipt. BIGGIE. I gave them the gift receipt. I told them I wanted the same shoe but size 11. I guess this pair was the last one. All good. I’ll find another pair. I find another pair. Perfect. I figured just scan these new ones. If there’s a difference, I’ll pay or they can give me credit/cash back. You know? Like a normal exchange. Nope. They scanned my new pair I had picked out and told me I owed some money. Ok. I guess the new pair I got was a little more expensive. No problem. I gave them the money and got my receipt. I decided to check the receipt and see how much my new pair was. It was on sale so it was only $ 29. Wait a minute… the pair I just returned were $ 40… SOMETINGWONG! I brought it up to them and they looked and double checked everything again. They were supposed to give me money. Figured. No harm done. At least i caught it. Now they said they needed my card to «buy» the old pair again so they can return it again. Assured me that it would not get charged. Or at least it would only get charged and then refunded. Sure I say. It’s not the first time something similar has happened. And then they gave me back the money I had given them earlier. I was in a rush to get to my nephew’s 2nd bday party so I grabbed the money and the shoes and left. In my head, I was annoyed but at least they were friendly so it was ok. Next week. My account is still charged the money for the shoes. AND. AND!!! I realized I was short money as well. They were supposed to refund me money, but they only refunded the money I had given them in the first place! Stupid on my part. So I called and a girl picked up. Tiffany. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone trying to retrace my steps and transactions. She was hella confused at first as well, but as we got closer to the truth, it all made sense. She was able to find the transaction and even remembered that she had extra cash in the register that day.(she is the store manager) After all is said and done, top notch customer service. I will be back for my refund as well as another pair of shoes. I love the pair I picked out! Thank you Tiffany for all your hard work. You showed an amazing level of patience throughout the whole ordeal. One you would expect from a manager but quite seldom receive in this day and age. Thank you again!

I bought a pair of shoes at $ 59 and then found out it went on sale for $ 38 right after 4 days I bought them. I went back to the store and asked for a price match. The sales person told me that they don’t offer price match! I was so upset and double-checked with her several times. She kept saying no. It didn’t occur to me that I should verify that online before taking no for an answer. Then I found out that they DO provide price match. But by the time I find out the policy my shoes were not eligible for price match any more. Even more upset… I really should have asked for the girls name and complain to the manager. Now there is just no way to file a complain.

I really like the customer service there, their shoes might be a bit too expensive for that type of quality at the regular price, but for sure their on sale items are worth it.

I usually walk into Aldo and never find something worth purchasing, but I just scored two pairs of flats for $ 40(30% off!). The sales lady was friendly and not overbearing. She had a bit of trouble at check out because the SKU number was faded, but no big deal. I had a pair shipped to my apartment and she quickly explained the logistics. Overall, a good retail experience.

Aldo shoes are great. I have more than four pairs made from Aldo. The service is never great. The sales reps are so happy to help you buy shoes, but when it comes to returning them, they’re really nasty. If my boyfriend wasn’t there to take of the return I would’ve really chewed her out. My advice is to continue buying their products despite the fact that their choice of sales reps are mediocre and may occasionally need to see the back of your hand when they get out of line. I hope management understands the beauty and importance of his or her job. Manager: please try to make your sales reps happy to decrease employee turn around and hence improve customer service.

I brought in a pair of shoes that I had bought hoping that I would be able to get a price adjustment because they had gone on sale and I had a 15% discount coupon. The girl at the counter, I don’t know if she realized what kind of attitude she had, but I found her to be very condescending. When I asked her if I could return the shoes and buy them back at sale price, she gave me this look like I was retarded or something. She wasn’t polite at all in explaining to me that I couldn’t. And when she opened the box to view my shoes that I have worn twice, she picked one up like it was some dirty old rag and had a disgusted look on her face. I’m not giving a one star because I didn’t get a price adjustment, I’m giving a one star for her attitude and how she talked to me. If she was polite about it, I wouldn’t have been so off-put by her. She really needs to brush up on her customer service skills, either that, or Aldo needs to fire her.

Perhaps I’m delusional after being out of the retail shoe industry for 8 years, but people still try on shoes before purchasing them in-store right? Aldo is one of my go-to places for shoes I cannot walk in but would like to pretend I can walk in; hence all the bruises I have and the Salonpas patches I wear. Pain is beauty! It’s been months since any shoes have caught my eye, but on Saturday, 6.25.11, I saw a cute pair of 5 inch black wooden stacked heels sitting on display at Aldo. Having worked in the shoe industry back in the days, normally the smallest sizes are on display unless they just received a new shipment and haven’t swapped out a smaller size to put on display. A size 10 was on display but I thought I take a chance and asked one of the employees, «Are all your smallest sizes on display?» She replied, «No, what size do you need?» I said, «Size 6, please.» and she went to the stockroom to check. 3 – 4 minutes later, she comes out and tells me, «Size 10 is our smallest size; I can order it for you.» Rarely returning things and having boxes of unworn shoes and clothes with their tags still on, I told her, «I want to try them on first, so if you have them in tan in my size, I’ll try them on and if it fits, I’ll order them.» Upon saying this, she gave me the most distinct stank eye look as if I was making an unreasonable, crazy request. She abruptly said, «That’s the smallest size we have in the tan.» Umm really??? Just several minutes ago, she said all the smallest sizes are not on display and didn’t even bother to check the tan shoe to say, «X» was the smallest size in stock. She repeated to say, «I can order them for you.» I told her again, that I really wanted to try it on first before ordering them and she continued giving me the stank eye while replying, «Oh.» I thanked her for her time and left. I guess someone won’t be in the running for«Employee of the Month».

I’ve been in this store several times and have had okay service. Attentive, friendly, personable, but not this time. Today I went in and 2 out of 3 associates acknowledged me. I tried to do a return and the associate Erica had an attitude and told me it could not be done. I called the store I originally purchased from and they insisted that it could be done at this store(Oakridge). First she said the skew numbers will not match, then it was because she didn’t have cash in her drawer(all retail sales start the day with cash). My return was only $ 40. Then I was told she could do it if I put the return on my debit card(I did not pay that way). After 15 mins of waiting and back and forth she decided that my return could not be done. I called another Aldo’s(Valley Fair) and they said to bring it right over and they would take care of it.
