I’m only putting a three star rating because of the lack of a koala changing station. I had to change my son on the floor. I mean as a male I can understand why there might not be one in the men’s room. But I also checked the ladies room. not one in sight. Come on what year are we in? I think that Wendy’s prides itself on being family oriented right? Please address this for all the mothers and fathers out there. On a lighter note my cashier Griselda was absolutely amazing. Polite, and great customer service

Customer Service is hit and miss. I enjoy the baconator fries and/or a spicy chicken go wrap. But just go to the drive — thru. SMILEPEOPLE! Customer Servicr, not Customer Nervous™

PREFACE: People have mentioned that this place is in need of refurbishment, but it’s really not that bad — in fact if certain reviewers of this particular Wendy’s location had not mentioned it, I would never have even thought about it at all. But I suppose that’s because I’m one of those people who are more interested with the food and service a restaurant provides — as opposed to the atmosphere of a restaurant — at least as far as Fast Food places are concerned. THEREVIEW: Sometimes, when a certain friend of mine gets off of work, she will stop by that Wendy’s and picks me up a small cheeseburger(along with whatever she’s having for dinner that evening) before coming over to my place where she often visits me before going home, just so I have something to munch on while she eats her dinner and I can tell you for sure that they make a VERY good cheeseburger for a fast food burger chain. POINTOFINFORMATION: They had ads running many years ago where they said the quality of their meat was better than«the other» fast food places and that has always true. It is the major thing separates them from the other fast food burger restaurants. SIDENOTE: It’s really too bad there are not more Wendy’s around town — the way there are lots of Jack in the Boxes and Mc Donald restaurants all over the place. I wish they would replace all of the Burger Kings in San Diego with Wendy’s, because that would be great. THERATING: I give this Wendy’s on Convoy St. a solid 4-Star rating ~ and I give my friend a big time 5-Star rating for bringing me those free Cheeseburgers & Fries all the time! Lol!

This is a busy lunch Wendy’s. .however if you go during the evening its not so bad. The dining area is clean and plenty of seating. The bathrooms are usually clean. The food here is good and i always get the chili. We are a dave thomas supporter for the adoption foundation so we always get a free frosty with any purchase. Take your time and enjoy a great burger or chicken sandwich or salads and you will not be disappointed. Well done dave thomas. wel done

This Wendy’s deserves a better rating because the staff really makes this location great. Unfortunately Corporate has overlooked this gem and left it in dire need of refurbishment. It is old, run down and uninviting. It is in the heart of a busy business district, and close to residential areas so it just doesn’t make sense. Anyway, go for the food and the staff. Ignore the dilapidated appearance. It would be easy to give this place 5 stars if Corporate would do their part.

Service is nice, place is clean and always full; however, they MUST do better with their salad portions. I very disappointed in the small amounts of salad they provide, this has to be the stingyest Wendy’s I’ve gone to when it comes to their salads. They cost way to much as I can go to Souplantation for a few dollars more and get a «fresh» salad. It’s just lettuce, leaves, why not fill the container like all the other Wendy’s do. I hate my job moved me from the Wendy’s on El Cajon Blvd. they know how to make a salad. There’s no way I should get a salad for this Wendy’s(Convoy) and can shake the container and all the contents move because it’s such a small amount in it. Therefore, I usually bypass this Wendy’s and drive all the way to the one on El Cajon to get a nice salad. If I do not go to that location I stroll over to Souplantation before spending $ 7.32 for a full size salad that’s not«full-size.» I hope the owner, general manager of the store sees this review and step your portions on your salads. Even the Wendy’s I’ve visited out-of-town serve up a «full» portion on their salads. I love the apple pecan chicken salad but decided not to get it from this location anymore unless they step it up. I wish I could attach a picture of the half-size salad I just purchased from this Wendy’s location today. My granddaughter would not have been satisfied with that small amount.

Staff at this location is more than friendly! I come here from time to time whenever I have that urge for a nice old fashioned burger. The day that I visited 2÷3÷14 the cashier working the counter was very patient when I couldn’t decide on what to order and she even helped me pick out the Baconator! The Baconator by far is my favorite burger to order here at Wendy’s! Plenty of meat, and no veggies!

I appreciate this Wendy’s for their food, service, cleanliness, and location. Always friendly too! I usually go for the value menu for the deal but the featured sandwiches are good too. Don’t forget to get a refill, just ask. They are no charge.

Ahh. you’re typical fast food joint. Not much of a review but I got a 4 piece chicken nuggets for 99 cents. They were good. Not too fried, tender, and flavorable. No complaints. The staff was friendly, and I saw them cleaning the place which is a good sign that they keep the place clean. My friends loved the chili they have. Like I said, not much of a review especially considering they were closing, but not a bad experience. I’d probably come back if I was craving some cheap fast food.

Been here twice and I’ve left feeling angry both times. Let me start by saying Wendy’s has never been my fast food of choice. I’ve always been a McDonald’s or In-N-Out guy, but the location of this particular Wendy’s on Saturdays is really convenient, so I checked it out. The first time I ordered the Baconator. Man, that thing is nasty. Wendy’s always markets themselves as fresh and premium quality fast food, but this thing tasted like somebody had puked it up, reassembled it, then sold it right back to me. I can’t believe something so disgusting like this can exist. Second time was even better. I find it hilarious that Wendy’s also markets itself on «healthy alternatives», yet to order a cheeseburger without the burger, basically a grilled cheese, costs the same as if it came with the beef. Seriously guys? Eat me. I couldn’t believe it. 4 dollars for a grilled cheese? I should have just gotten the burger and taken the beef off(it was for a friend. I ordered one of their chicken sandwiches and it sucked). I’m seriously shocked at how pedestrian this place is and I hope it’s not a reflection of Wendy’s in general, but I will say it’s definitely not a good sample. I may return if I’m hungry and willing to stuff another one of their disgusting burgers down my throat, but otherwise this place stinks.

I come here for a quick lunch occasionally. Usually pretty good. Went through the drive-thru and the service was pretty quick, even though there were about six cars in line. I had the number one combo today, large size and it was about eight bucks. Burger was tasty but the sea salt fries, were… well…too salty! And I love salt… and usually their fries. Not today.

This downtown location of Wendy’s is near mostly sit-down restaurants and hotels. No drive-thru is available and they close at 12am. My fiancé & I went to grab something quick as we were having a long day and it was within a block of our hotel. The downtown location seems to attract interesting crowds as we had several kids and older crowds who seemed to be intoxicated and ready for a dance club or two. We waited 15 mins for our food with the manager uncertainly handing out orders to folks. We didn’t receive our order quickly and I was uncertain if they were backed up(We were 1 of 3 people who had orders in). We finally received our food and tried to flag down the manager to get condiments(to go order). She appeared to have no re-collection of us and handed me some ketchup bags. We walked back to our hotel and were hoping to just have a quiet evening and relax. I opened the bag and discovered that we did not receive our order correctly. I did glance in the bag before we left but we were being rushed out by the crowds that came in while we were waiting. I had ordered a chicken sandwich and left with a a doublestack cheeseburger. I wasn’t in the mood for a burger let alone one that was sloppily made. At this point, I did not want to go back and deal with getting another item made. I ended up tossing the burger and giving feedback on the survey off their receipt. Would not recommend.

There used to be a Wendy’s on the UCSD campus, but they closed down. I then had to frequent the Wendy’s down Miramar Road, but that one also closed down. Then, I had to drive all the way down to Convoy St. to get some of that tastey square patty. In my on-going quest for Wendy’s, I learned that I should eat there more often to keep it in business. This place is pretty empty inside, but the food is better than McDonald’s and Burger King combined.

Fresh food, high prices… Loved the new Spicy Asiago Chicken, but over $ 5.50 for the sandwich only is a tad high. Loved the Fish sandwich for $ 3.50, but also high. New sea-salted fries are pretty good. This location is a little old school since the tables and chairs are old, and there’s no TVs here.

Meh, Wendys is pretty much middle of the road, fast food-wise. Better than McD and BK, imho, but behind carl’s jr and in and out. I just needed something other than fig tart(the only thing in my fridge that isn’t 2 week old bok choy) to shove down my gullet, and I must say that Wendys filled that role. 99 cents for 5 spicy chicken nuggets. Spongey on the inside, crispy on the outside, and an average of 1.5 inches in diameter, it’s far from the filling chicken experience you may hope for, and it may not have been worth the calories, but hell, it wasn’t a fig tart.

If I am craving fast food burgers, more often than not I choose ridiculous creations slathered with sauces and piled together with a bunch of stuff. These burgers have adjectives like Double, Triple, Bacon and/or Ultimate. Besides the frosty, I haven’t really craved anything on the Wendy’s menu. Oddly enough, I think this is because their food actually does taste real — like a burger you’d make at home. That’s fine but there’s one thing I don’t like about their burgers is the way they prepare their buns. They don’t butter, grill, toast or steam them. It’s my personal preference and enough to stick out in my mind. In order to diminish hunger, I went to this Wendy’s for a lunch. I looked looked around the drive-thru menu and keyed onto a sandwich with adjectives I found to my liking: Bacon Blue Burger. It was a single beef patty with four slices of bacon, blue cheese and the usual toppings. I’m glad that Wendy’s is veering more into the ridiculous burger category because they do have quality on their side. The beef, cheese and bacon were great. It may be hard to connote value on this burger but they did put four slices of bacon in there. Trying the Baconator may seem like a natural progression for me, but it will take an extreme bout of hunger for me to down that behemoth. Wendy’s still isn’t on the top of my drive-thru list but they’re getting better.
