The reason there is a lot of people in front of the register is because there is a fifteen minute to wait for your food. The noodles were cold and while the shrimp has gone through several freeze thaws that you can taste that lack of quality. The unagi bowl is like four strips of unagi taken of a sushi added with 3 cups of rice with carrots and bean sprouts. The worst part are the cooks using the utensils to grab items that are considered unsanitary. The big clue is when the curtain is down to hide how the kitchen functions. Lastly is the cold soda. If I am paying a dollar for a soda that says cold, i expect that soda to be cold not warm. My friend and I ended up with an upset stomach later that day. Health inspector should do a surprise inspection

Food is cooked to order and is a good value for what you get, the dining area can get messy at times

I tried the shrimp and chicken fried rice. It was so much food for the price. The girl taking the order was polite. I will definitely be back and try something else

I live all the way in Chula Vista & it’s always a favorite destination to visit on my day off with my mom! We always order the salmon fried rice & beef chow mein noodles. Today food was fast and delicious like always. Although they’re portions did get smaller, it’s still all worth it. Gotta try !

All I get here, when I come here is the TEMPURA!!! :) Why? Because look at my pictures! :)You get a lot of SHRIMP and Veggies for $ 5.49(recently raised to $ 5.99) 5 stars for the tempura, –minus 1 star for raising the price by 10% The tempura here is VERYSATISFYING for that tempura craving I get, especially during Ember Days.(see: ) «History of Tempura The Origin of Tempura, batter frying, in Japan goes back to the mid-16th century. Japan was a closed-port country with limited trading access with few Chinese and Dutch traders. The concept of batter frying was brought by the Portuguese, along with Catholicism. The word „Tempura“ derived from the Latin word of „Tempora“, which refers to „The Ember Days(quattuor anni tempora)“, when Catholics refrain from eating meat. Tempura is known as the favorite dish of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa/Edo era.» — source:

Located in the food court in the Zion Market. Your average food court Chinese grub. Fried rice, teriyaki, noodles, etc. Convenient as far as location and parking go. Not bad, but not great and not really worth revisiting when there are so many superior options close by.

I had the chicken salad. For $ 6.99, you get a huge plate of greens, topped with a generous amount of chicken, tomatoes and avocado. It seems there might have been other veggies in there, too, that I’m forgetting about. It really was a tasty plate of food. The chicken was a tiny bit overcooked and the salad was way overdressed; neither was extreme enough to anywhere near ruin the dish. Next time, I’ll just ask for the dressing on the side. This place also provides delicious citrus water that you can pour yourself, which is nice if you don’t want to order a soda. Well worth it for the price.

Located inside the Zion Marketplace food court. I was craving noodles and this place was the closest to what I was really craving. I ordered the shrimp and chicken fried noodles and the chicken, beef teriyaki plate, and soda. Total was about $ 20. Both entrees came with a side salad, which was a surprise. The dressing was actually really good. The noodles were tasty although it needed more soy sauce for more flavoring. I could have done without the shrimp and chicken honestly since I was feeling more of the noodles. The teriyaki entrée was good as well. Great flavor and the meats were tender. The employees were tasty and offered their recommendations. Although the entrees took a while to come out, they came out hot and fresh from the back. Large serving size and you can actually share it if you just want a taste. Great option in the Zion food court!

Perhaps they’ve changed ownership or done some remodeling, but this location is still open in the Zion food court. It’s now food made-to-order and not warmed-up-food sitting in trays waiting for you to pick out. I think I would have preferred that. :-/ I’ll never order food from here again. The service was SOSLOW that it was completely not worth my time to have ordered lunch from here. I waited for a full 30 minutes to get my «beef fried noodle,» which is something that should have taken no more than 5 or 10 minutes to make. My husband had ordered his food from elsewhere and was finished eating by the time I even got my order — so much for having lunch together! You could see people working in the kitchen in the back, which mostly meant you could see them walking around looking confused, pointing at handfuls of orders, and generally not producing food very quickly. They really didn’t look like they had a clue of what they were doing. So when you visit the Zion food court and see a bunch of people congregated around this place, beware — it’s not because it’s incredibly popular and good, it’s because it’s incredibly SLOW and no one actually gets their food in a timely manner. Save yourself the trouble and get food elsewhere from a quicker place in the food court! The only thing that saved them from a 1-star review is that the food actually tasted pretty decent. But it was certainly not worth the wait and not something I will ever risk again.

Of all the food joints located in the Zion food court, Off the Wok will always be my first choice! I can’t help but stop by every time I shop at Zion. You are definitely getting authentic, high-quality Chinese food at a generous price point. The staff is always so welcoming, the portions are large, and the food seems to always taste like it came right«off the wok» and it’s all at an unbeatable price! I am so glad this place opened because it is my new go-to whenever I need a quick Chinese fix.

I happen to come here just to get white rice, just because Gala Chicken, across the store, did not sell any. To my surprise, they sell salt and pepper chicken wings. 5 for $ 5.75 or was it $ 5.95? Anyways, they are comparable to Royal Mandarin down south. So when I got that craving, I can come here. So I’m giving them 4 starts just because of the chicken. I did not try anything else.

Yum! Authentic restaurant style Chinese food but without the inconvenience of dining in and without the restaurant style prices. I’ve been here several times already and I have zero complaints. My favorite is the mapo tofu. Portions are huge and it’s packed with flavor. Although this is a to-go style Chinese fast food eatery, you could never guess. The food is piping hot as if it just came. off the wok(: I haven’t had a chance to try their limited weekend specials, but I’ve only heard great things about them. Come in and have a taste for yourself!

WOW! ALL I CANSAYIS, WOW! First of all, the customer service is outstanding! The two beautiful cashiers were very helpful. Also, the chef is very funny! Secondly, the food was incredibly tasty. My favorites are the zesty orange chicken, the creamy walnut shrimp and the crispy salt & pepper chicken. I love the specialty menu, as I tend to order half the items on their menu. I’m a fan of their recipe and I would recommend coming to OFFTHEWOK! Also, on the weekends, they make a special noodle soup called KAPOON, a cultural curry noodle dish that originated from LAOS. The soup can be spicy at first, but give it a chance, it will not disappoint you.(Ask for extra quail eggs because they are delicious!)

I went here for linch. the Service was great. The 2 young guys were friendly, welcoming, very patient with the older customers and funny. I ordered the Fried Rice With Orange Chicken bowl. It was all cold. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. I would not order again.

This is a go-to spot for me when I’m craving Chinese food near my work. Its located inside the new Zion Market food court. I’ve come here right when they open as well as a late lunch. The food is freshly cooked each time I’ve come here which is a good sign that they only make enough to keep the food freshly cooked. Large pieces of meat. A good amount of vegetables. And the serving size is enough to even share if you wanted to. The service is great since they can accommodate almost any request you make. My go to dishes are the orange chicken and BBQ pork. I do wish they served hot and sour soup instead of the egg drop soup but that’s just preference. And the best part, I don’t feel sick after eating here like some other places I’ve tried.

I would give them two and a half stars if I could. This fast food joint is located inside the newly renovated/new location Zion Korean Market. The food here is a little below average in my opinion. Food that I have tried: Mongolian beef– this is quite disgusting… The beef tastes game-y and like they just threw it into the pan without seasoning it. Hot and spicy soup– this is not spicy at all and a little too sour, but the thickness of it is right. Mapo tofu– the Szechuan flavored aren’t really there. This dish has no spiciness to it. I have had this two times and the first time it was more flavorful while the second time was just alright. And again, there was no heat to it. Orange chicken– this is probably the only thing I would get from Off The Wok because it is really crunchy and has a great orange flavor to it. I just wish it was an equal balance between chicken and breading. Overall, I think Off The Wok could use a lot of improvement with its food and should adjust their pricing. Their prices for a 2 item combo seems more than a Panda Express.

AVOIDAVOIDAVOID!!! It is shameful that an «Asian restaurant» of such poor quality would be in an Asian Market Center such as this one. Their food is GROSS. Period. They don’t stand behind it either. I guess I should have known better when the place next door to them was busy and this place was dead.

Had lunch with a friend here. We really wanted Roadem Korean BBQ but it was closed for under construction. We then just decided to come here and look at the food court since it’s inside Zion Market and my friend wanted to shop here afterwards. What I love about it is that there’s no MSG! I ordered the 3 entrée meal. Got fried rice, Mongolian beef, salt and pepper chicken; and something else I forgot. With our meal we get soup and drink for about $ 10. The Mongolian beef and whatever else I had tasted good. But the fried rice was bland and so was the sweet and sour soup I got. They give you big portions. I finished everything but the soup and salt and paper chicken. Got rid of the soup but took the chicken home. Also no free refills on soda. Costs 75 cents. Will probably come back and try the other stuff they had.

Stopped by after Paris Baguette for some Chinese food because what else do you get in a Korean market. They have the standard fast-food Chinese options but what really sets this place apart is the quality of food. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorsome. They don’t add MSG and you can actually see the cook working hard in the kitchen. My favorite is their chicken and beef, I’m not specifying because they’re all super delicious. I know you think you can’t get great food in a food court, but Off the Wok disproves that. If you’re ever want fast chinese food that tastes like a sit-down restaurant, stop by Off the Wok. Also, super cute name and friendly customer service. Also, I haven’t tried it yet but they have specialty dishes on weekends!
