7 Wings for 5.99 deal is not what the picture entails. Also order two slices of pizza and one slice had napkins stuck to it when I got home. Stay away

When I asked for delivery, the man who answered said they don’t deliver, so I told him I had seen that they do on both Unilocal and their website. He just repeated that they don’t deliver, offered no explanation. He sounded rushed. I ordered a small pizza with half olives and half pineapple, and the manicotti for pick up. The food was ready when I got there. It was just okay. There was too much sauce on the pizza for my taste, the crust was a little doughy, and I got pepperoni instead of pineapple(my mistake for not checking before leaving). The garlic bread had no taste. Manicotti was alright. I’ll probably keep this place in mind since it’s inexpensive and close to my house, but it won’t be a go to spot.

Staff was attentive and friendly. Food is good but not amazing. Ravioli was yummy but it had a walnut shell on it(one of us bit down on it and hurt themselves) when mentioned to staff they didn’t really apologize or offer a discount. Ok place but wouldn’t recommend for date night.

Very poor customer service i dont know whether the gentleman had a bad day or not. Nevertheless his attitude and professionalism was poor. Pizza was partly burnt and mediocre dont recommend this place.

It admittedly took me a while to try this place. The décor is not that great and makes the place seem a bit underwhelming, which I assumed about the food. Fortunately, this was the wrong conclusion. The food is really great and the service was great. The food was cooked fresh and the guy working there was super friendly and inviting. I’ll definitely be dropping into this place more often. I tried the burger combo meal and my brother-in-law tried the Philly cheese steak sandwich, both of which were very tasty.

WOW, greek salad looked good in the picture, paid 6 bucks for the smallest, pile of iceburg lettuce, two small slices of tomato and a couple black olives. small amount of low quality feta, couple pieces of red onion, and to top it all off, it came with ranch ?? I asked water and he gave me a lukewarm plastic cup of terrible tasting water, pathetic excuse for a greek food restaurant, complete rip-off

Good pizza at a great price :) snobby reviews giving this place less than two stars are not relevant, don’t expect an artisan, gluten free, goat cheese, hipster pizza here. I’m giving mama Mia’s four out of five stars in the affordable, moms and pops pizza shop category!(Don’t get the buffalo wings! Stick to the pizza)

Super friendly, and very quick service. The pizza is great to order and pick up for a date night, movie night or when you don’t feel like cooking. The time they give you for the order is always spot on; if they are busy he will tell you and then it’s only a few extra minutes.

I get pizza here and it’s inexpensive. Pizza tastes great and the guy behind the counter is nice! He smiles, which is apparently not required in some establishments.

First off, the customer service here was fantastic! Very very friendly. Second, the pizza was great for the price. Definitely one of the better tasting $ 5.99 pizzas I’ve had in comparison to chains. And it’s right down the street! Will definitely come again the next time I’m looking for a good pizza on a budget.

Mama Mia is appropriate for this pizza if you intend to use it in an expletive sense. As in Mama Mia this pizza is no better than one of those chains advertised on TV. You know the ones. They have«Noids’ or pay homage to a Roman Emperor with long since out dated 90’s hairstyle named after him. Having just moved and light on funds from paying greedy landlords, I was enticed by the 5.99 large, one topping special. Clue number one for the quality of pizza I was about to receive, the menu included burgers, gyros, and chicken strips. This is not a pizza joint, it a place where people who smoke joints come for inexpensive pizza. Have you ever been so hungry that even Ramen seems to hit the spot? That’s describes my level of malnourishment that evening. I shall preface this next comment by saying, I go out for pizza because I am not a pizza making guru, just a pizza snob. I arrived home with a large pepperoni pizza in tow, opened the box and commenced eating with great fervor. After about three bites, I realized the pizza had no distinct flavors whatsoever. The crust was chewy, sauce was bland and cheese was lifeless. My taste buds were irritable and confused. I went to the pantry and grabbed the Tobasco® and gave that a go. I’m not lying when I say the pizza literally stole the flavor of the hot sauce and consumed it like a demon possession in a bad horror flick. I saved some slices to see if the next day would be any better and, once again, it failed to deliver. I really try to be as positive as possible in my reviews, but this pie made me angry. The service was efficient and friendly though which kept me from giving it a single star. The bottom line, you pay for what you get. I am interested in going back to see what the rest of the menu has to offer, but this pizza has been sent to my «Phantom Zone».

I was pet-sitting the area and was craving a pizza so after a furtive web search, I came across Mama Mia’s. I ordered over the phone, and 25 minutes later walked a few blocks to pick up my pie. I was very happy to see a steaming hot pizza waiting for me, and that the cashier opened it up so I could take a look and make sure it was right before ringing me up. Their large«The Works» pizza was a little small for $ 20 but it was heaped with cheese and toppings and I like their sauce so I am definitely not complaining! I’m told they deliver too which will come in handy on those lazy nights I am down the street and don’t want to come pick up my order.

I had to pause to think of the real name of this place, because my local friends and I always refer to it as simply«the $ 5 pizza». Well, it used to be $ 5, it’s now $ 5.99. Damn inflation. Doesn’t quite have the same ring, but it’s still a great deal. So yes, they have a $ 5.99 Large One-Topping Pizza. You’re already winning a little just from that. I have to admit that I wasn’t exactly excited about it the first time I ordered it(with previous experiences of $ 5 pizzas in mind) but I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised! While not gourmet or anything new or spectacular that will knock your socks off, the pizza is pretty damn good. Much better than the delivery chains out there. And relatively fast. I usually call in for pick up and just walk the two blocks rather than wait for delivery, so I’m not sure how reliable that is or isn’t. I’m usually one to avoid or pick the pepperoni off of pizza because I don’t like fake tasting meats… but when compromising for a friend, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the pepperoni here. So much that I actually order it now. I’ve only ever gotten one non-pizza item here, and that was the cheese steak sandwich. Unfortunately, it was not very good. Which is sad, because I really love a good cheese steak and would have loved to have one so conveniently located. Keep in mind that I am spoiled by having easy access to Philly Frank’s in San Marcos during my work week, so my opinion here may be a little harsh. I have no other local examples to compare it to. Or maybe I hit them on a bad day. But I have no desire to try again. The $ 5 pizza is great, and I really have no need to try anything else here again. All in all, I don’t consider this a mind-blowing culinary experience; but as a nice, solid staple, it most satisfactorily satisfies the ‘local cheap pizza place’ niche for Normal Heights.

The pizza is not traditional New York or Chicago style and I love it. Its the type of Pizza that you would only get by actually going to Florence, Italy. Perfect combinations and at an affordable price. The rest of the menu is great as well but dont recommend the fried calamari medley. The desserts that we’ve tried have also been very good especially the chocolate cake special. Atmosphere is quaint and really enjoy the covered outdoor patio area. All waiters are very helpful and friendly despite sometimes being a little slow when there’s a full house.

AMAZINGPIZZA! I work around the corner and have hit this place up numerous times with my coworkers. It’s affordable price is what initially attracted us, but it’s legitimate pizza kept us coming back. Unlike most«affordable» places, the sauce is ridiculously great and the cheese is amazing! Overall: awesome service, tasty food. I have to go back and try their giant pizza!

This was a delicious pizza. We got a coupon on our front door the other day so we decided to try it out. I of course checked out the Unilocal reviews prior to ordering. I was a little surprised to see an over abundance of one star reviews. Normally that would completely remove a place from my consideration, but after reading the details it appears that many of the issues are in reference to service. I’m certainly not going to put up with bad service, but I figured since I was just getting take-out I’d have minimal risk. I was very pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and an anti-pasta salad. The salad was pretty standard, but the pizza was a cut above the rest. It certainly wasn’t the best pizza I have ever had, but for $ 6.99 it was outstanding. If you are looking for great friendly service, go somewhere else. If you want a good pizza for a decent price, Mama Mia’s is where it’s at.

Average pizza. Its family run and they are are just making pizza. The dough is quite flavorless, the sauce I know comes from a can(just like dominoes) and its cheap. I would eat here if I only had $ 5 and I wanted to eat. But being in this area is a tough sell with so much around. If I may say something to the owners, put more spices in your sauce, make your dough tastier(wheat and honey might help) and keep the ingredients fresh, which they already do I will give that. Quick bite, not much more.
