Cleopatra’s Lounge

i went to this place today for the first time. a little rough for parking but that’s the neighborhood. km pipe, d hose, coconut and wood coals available. $ 10 for the starbuzz white chai, oh yea! :)

The atmosphere in here is what it is. Not spectacular, but much better than some other lounges I have been to in San Diego. Chairs are fairly comfortable. My friends and I came here after watching the Chargers game down the street, and it was pretty much empty (We didn’t expect it to be full on a Sunday evening anyway).
The hookahs here are decently cheap, and they didn’t just have Starbuzz flavors to choose from, which I appreciated.
The hookah came out very quickly (kudos) and I was really surprised to see lump coals on top of the hookah–
SIDE NOTE: Normally, at hookah lounges in the states, you have a choice between cube coconut coals, or the instant light disk coals, of which I prefer the former. If you ever smoke hookah in another country (primarily the Middle East and East Asia), chances are you’ll smoke with these lump coals on top, because they’re much cheaper than the coconut and instant light coals. They light and smolder without chemicals, but ash really really quickly and need to be turned and changed out frequently so the smoke doesn’t get harsh and so the flavor doesn’t suffer.
Admittedly, I was concerned that the bowl was going to taste badly right quick or fizzle out after a missed coal change.
We were fortunate enough, however, in that the employee working there knew exactly what he was doing. He was really diligent about changing the coals, and made sure our hookahs didn’t get harsh for almost 2 ½ hours. Definitely kudos.
I would give the lounge a 5/​5, but at this point, any lounge that doesn’t have Nakhla flavors other than double apple needs to get some– It is by far the best imported shisha because it is unwashed (more flavor, thicker smoke), and overall their flavors are superior to those from Al Fakher. I was really impressed by the lounge– LUMP COALS FOR THE WIN. Seriously, this is the first lounge I have found in San Diego that actually uses them right. Some people criticize them because they can alter the flavor of the shisha, but I didn’t feel like our hookahs tasted like anything other than what was in the bow.

It’s a great experience I had, the hookah is great. They have many different flavor and they only use the Shiaha for that flavor only. The service and the staff are amazing friendly. If you are looking for a place to to hang out and have a great time… stop by Cleopatra Lounge. I highly recommend it. Onelove

This is #1 hookah lounge for me in San Diego. The service you get here is amazing also the price very good very friendly staff.
