If you want to pay $ 32 to smoke out of a plastic hookah in your 19 year-old cousin’s basement, this is the place for you. If you want to watch a DJ wig out physically, but just play top 20 hip hop, this is the place for you. Condiments include water and water: $ 5.

Cool place to go to after going to a few bars in NP but otherwise wouldn’t go out of my way for this establishment. 1.) They use dry Shisha. That means if a coal stays on a spot for too long then it burns the shisha. Once it burns the bowl becomes«harsh» and then your spending more time to clear it out. The easy solution is to move the coal, the only problem is that i have to go to the front desk to wave down an attendant for that to happen. WAY too much of a hassle to just enjoy my hookah since i had to do that 9 times during our stay. Granted they might have used to give out tongs to their patrons but stopped when patrons fucked up their couches or floors but not being able to adjust the burn only ruins the experience.

The manager understands that a good time equates to success. Good music, good hookah. Felt real comfortable the second I walked in. On top of that, the hookah are good!

Very chill atmosphere, but accommodating people with excellent hookah. They upgraded us to ice & let us blow bubbles… all at no add charge which is uncharacteristically cool for a hookah lounge. I’d highly recc you check it out… plus, cocktails are just around the corner

Honestly went last night 07/26/2014 around 11PM. Walked in on Saturday night and was only one person a dude on his laptop. Small place. Honestly hookah hit smooth but was disappointed. First hooka was $ 15 bucks. I gave him $ 20 and was shorted $ 1.80 I was like what ever I got money maybe he needs more than me. I can honestly say the coals used were trash I asked the guy who appeared to be the owner if these were star buzz coals and he said yes. I been smoking hooka over 10 years and go almost every day to a lounge near my house and I knows starbuzz coals they last a while they don’t ash up. Coals died out in less than 10 min. So I went to get a soda a regular 12oz soda that’s .85 or 1.00 anywhere else you get it and the guy charged me $ 2.17…overpriced cheap coals. Decent music small place. Only good thing about it that made me stay was honestly the cute oriental girl who came in who works their. U live in Chula vista check out this place called plus stars hooka lounge honestly the best I been 11 straight days before go their everyday and the hookah is only $ 10 .great lasting none ashy coals. good customer service great loud hip hop music. U can’t beat $ 10 hookahs. .check out this picture from other night. owner of cloud 9 was friendly interactive with Me and the other one person their. But I won’t go their again don’t think he knows what he is doing. Here picture of plus stars

Stopped by here last week on recommendation from some friends. Loved it! The staff was really helpful and friendly. Felt like we could sit there as long as we wanted… oh wait, we did! :) Make sure you say hi to Conrad when you’re there. Happy to find this gem so close to home. Will definitely be back.

Came here on a whim last night since our moto was parked right outside the lounge. We were the only customers but then again, it was a Wed and 7:30pm. We thought it was a weird location for a hookah lounge. It’s very spacious inside and they have flat screens around the entire place. Plus, they use Bose speakers. That’s already a plus. haha In any case, we ordered the special. Which was spearmint gum and mint in an orange.(Cost $ 25) The hookah was super smooth. The owner is super friendly and nice. Not sure how long this place can survive, but they’ve only been open for 4 months so, we’ll see. They also have a DJ come in on Thrs-Sat. And on the weekends they open till 4 – 4:30am. Would def try again. PS.no alcohol served at this place.

The cloud nine Hookahlounge has very professional servers with the staff of Sam & Z And the owner Conrad, with whom you’ll always get a smile from. This place is a great hangout spot to enjoy a hot drink and play some board games or just have fun ! Either way you can’t go wrong.

I’ve been back to this hookah bar maybe 4 times. The owner Conrad is always nice and attentive: he brings me coals/tongs, asks if the taste is ok, asks if I want him to turn down/turn up/change the music, etc. Just overall excellent customer service. The reason I’m writing another review: omg, the quality of the smoke has really risen. It was such a nice, clean, FLAVORFUL smoke the last two times I went. I asked Conrad what he had been doing different. He told me he met with some middle eastern friends who showed him how to properly pack a bowl and I can taste/tell Conrad really paid attention. Also, I had a brief chat with Conrad and he’s looking to hire an interior decorator down the line :) Thank you, Cloud9, you are doing an excellent job!(^0^)

Ok so, bless these folks for trying. The idea of a hookah bar in this area is a good one. Bar degenerates like myself want a place to unwind after last call. So I found myself here at 1am on a Friday night. I believe they close at 4am. The place itself has zero ambiance. It’s literally a room with large leather couches. You almost think you may have walked into the wrong place. It’s $ 15 for a hookah and they play hella loud top 40 ratchet music. I won’t even call it hip hop. They really need to invest into the aesthetics of this place so that it’s a desirable place to hang in. They also need to reconsider the music selection. The word«lounge» in hookah lounge implies we want to relax here. It’s not a nightclub.

This hookah lounge is completely out of place in this area of North Park. We have some great restaurants nearby, Yoga and fitness studios, cute shops and then this creepy hookah lounge. Geez, like there aren’t enough smoke shops in North Park. AND I wasn’t aware that hookah was even that popular anymore. Brutally honest-It looks like someone just threw some cheesy leather couches haphazardly in a small empty room that could be an office space. It’s sketchy and so are the 1 or 2 patrons I’ve seen congregating in front of the place. Yuck. I’m not hating on Hookah. I’m just saying that it’s a niche market and here it’s done wrong(make it authentic and less 16year old stoner paradise/creep studio/front).

I didn’t know if I was sitting in my garage or a hookah lounge… I’m sure it’s a start up business, but come on, don’t put yourself In a business and call yourself a hookah lounge until you can afford to call yourself a lounge, I was not pleased.
