This place was not my cup of tea. I’m far from a hookah bar expert and I only have a handful of experiences to compare this to, but I much preferred Excalibur(cheesy music and all) to this place. I didn’t experience the warm welcome that the other reviewers did here — though on the positive side, the music was good and the atmosphere is OK on the patio. Our group was«required» to order two hookahs, even though we only wanted one. One of the two we ordered was great, but the other was very harsh and smoky, like the shisha was burning. Rather than lounging and relaxing(which is why most people like going to hookah bars in the first place), I feel like we sort of rushed to get out of there. Maybe my experience was an off night, but I doubt I’ll be back to find out.

A description of the other night I spent at Old Cairo: I’m sitting in my favorite comfy couch in the outside section, reading a great book under the cute decorative lighting, nestled up in the pillows and smoking a delicious apple hookah… Nothing could seem any better, and then the«tall dude with with beautiful long hair» puts on some great relaxing music and comes out to replace the coals and offer me some tea and to turn on the heater. I’m cozy enough with my pillows so I don’t need the heater, but I accept the tea. If this isn’t bliss, I don’t know what is. So that’s basically every experience I have here at Old Cairo. My family is always here(including this very moment). The owner is an amazingly sweet person and all the employees are super pleasant and helpful. Love it :)

this is an awesome hookah café that my cousins have been going to since 2001. the owner is cool and the workers here are dope and provide the best service. the tall dude with the long beautiful hair plays the best music and always makes sure you got hot coals to keep your smoke on.
