Wanted to grab a quick bite before checking in at the airport. Loved the food and Mike behind the counter. Got the ham and bacon and egg breakfast sandwich on Dutch crust roll. Brought it out to you, and was delicious. Would definitely come back next time we’re in town.

A good but not great sandwich. Unless you are a regular dont expect friendliness. I wish they would cook their roast beef 5 minutes longer.

Not sure what’s up with all the 5 star reviews. It’s a neighborhood joint with terrible service if they don’t know you. The meatball sandwich I had was passable but lacking in favor. Had this with a small macaroni side and small soda for $ 12.30. Too expensive for the quality and quantity. Even if I was in front of the place and hungry you wouldn’t find back there. It also took forever to get my food around 2pm on a Monday. Wished I could have cancelled my ordered and gone elsewhere. I really want to support these types of neighborhood businesses but this place will have me looking for a Subway store over these guys anytime.

The sandwiches here are great. The deli turkey on dutch crunch has been my regular order for years now. The garlic spread they use just makes it all that much better. They’re usually quick and the service is always nice.

The sandwiches were okay. Nothing special. They offer Deep River chips(which was okay too).

Pissed me off today. I walked in to only get ignored. Everyone else seemed to stare at me wait to get a sandwich even the guy who the staff was in super deep conversation with was staring at me as I waited. «Excuse me» didn’t work. I guess he was more interested in what he had to say over helping me out. So after the awkward minutes pass by I leave and I dont think he noticed/cared. Used to like going here… welp I went ahead and took the drive up to Little Luccas where I probably should have went first.

Small corner deli and market with friendly folks and delicious sandwiches. Meatball sub a must try. A hidden treasure on the main street of town. Definitely worth the stop any day of the week. Fresh deli servings and fresh.

Was reeeeealllly craving a good sandwich but my go-to deli, Roma’s, was closed since they don’t open past 5PM on Sundays, so I ended up here as a last resort because it was conveniently right down the street. I was a bit skeptical of coming here due to the sketch atmosphere, no offense, but I’m so glad I gave this place a try anyway. I went for the chicken salad on toasted dutch crunch because I didn’t really know what was good/popular here. I also added avocado and provolone cheese, which costed extra, but it was so worth it! Initially I came here with an empty stomach, so I couldn’t really tell if the sandwich was super amazing or if I was just extremely hungry. But either way, I really enjoyed my meal here :) However, the only problem I had with this place was that the man who was fixing up my sandwich; I was never given the option of if I wanted my sandwich toasted or left standardly cold. When he moved on to another new customer before he even finished making my sandwich, he asked them if they wanted their food warmed up or anything. So when I last minute told the man that I wanted my sandwich toasted too, he kinda gave me a little sassy attitude and was all like, «great. now i have to remake the sandwich all over again.» Even though it was barely even made FYI. After that I was just left too uncomfortable to request anything else on my sandwich. But besides that part, it was a pretty good sandwich overall. I really enjoyed the creaminess of the chicken salad and avocado with the crunchy-yet-sweet dutch crunch bread. It was very savory and I loved every bite of it. The price and portion was quite corresponding. I’ll most likely come back for the food despite the poor service.

Pretty good sandwiches. A little sketch on the atmosphere. I live dives but this place was pretty dumpy. Get the meatball… To Go.

Best Meatball I’ve had in a while! And I’m a regular at Roxie’s, New Daly City, and Little Lucca’s. Trust… I know what I’m talking about!

I walked in, asked me what was hungry for. I said I wasn’t sure. He said he had some fresh meatballs coming up. Opened the oven door to show me a plate of fresh meatballs cooking. Said they would be ready soon if I was willing to wait. I said I was willing. Sat at the counter reading the paper. He brought the tray out, grabbed a slice of soft sour, and what happened next I will never forget. He carved out the bread from the sliced end of the loaf leaving a bread cavern. Then he put the bread chamber in the oven to toast it for a little under a minute, monitoring it. Waiting for an indication of completeness I can only imagine isn’t described in words, but in that experience only through a mastery of a craft. I had stopped reading my paper. Only staring as I can imagine someone would have been fortunate to observe Rodin sculpt The Thinker. Because what he did next was take the meatball one by one and place them into the bread compartment layering the meatballs in between cheese. Each strata of meatball and cheese layered until it was filled to the top. A masterpiece.

The service is great, the guy up front jokes around and makes the sandwiches with a smile. The real winner of course is the roast turkey, not too dry and actually very moist. Everything comes together just right. Meat, garnish, sauces.

Liked: — toasted Dutch crunch — sweet and fresh flavor of Dutch crunch — chicken breast sandwich — turkey sandwich — value for price — meat portions So so: — forgot the garlic sauce on one of my sandwiches — ambiance — out of few items in the store

I was walking around like a starving rabid zombie down San Bruno Avenue when I stumbled upon this place. «I’ll have a pastrami sandwich on dutch crunch,» I said, and had my hopes set on low because there was no one else in the deli except for me during lunch time. This is why it’s never good to make snap judgements because by the time i got in my car and ate their sandwich, I was pleasantly surprised. Their garlic spread was good, and their pastrami and dutch crunch was toasted to give it a warm feel, and it was quite good. Honestly, I like their sandwiches better than Subculture down the street. And unlike Subculture, I felt their sandwiches were filling and didn’t leave me still hungry.

I was curious about Grand Leader Market after seeing some of their sandwich pics posted by my friends on Unilocal.I came by twice and tried their Chicken Breast Sandwich and Roast Turkey Sandwich respectively. Chicken Breast Sandwich – For some reason, I was a little surprised how this sandwich came out because the chicken came out thinly sliced with looked nothing like the pics that drew me to this place initially where the chicken was carved in thick pieces. The sandwich was still pretty solid though regardless. Roast Turkey — I thought that maybe I ordered the wrong thing and assumed their Roast Turkey would be carved up, but it pretty much came out thinly sliced similar to the Chicken Breast. And it too was a pretty solid sandwich. I really have nothing bad to say about the sandwiches since they were pretty good. Nicely priced, big size and loaded with meat. I guess I was just a little bit surprised on how their meats came out. They’re still worth a visit if you’re in the area.
