Café by the lake is a very neat little restaurant tucked between a couple of office buildings. Great breakfast foods. I would have eaten here every week except they asked for me to use my visa instead of Annex. I understand why restaurants prefer visa, but turning your nose up when handed an AMEX and asking for something else is bad for business. Especially when your patron and his team of colleagues are on an expense account.

*******Fluctuating prices for same exact thing in same exact portion********** this is nice family owned business, some of their dishes are better than others. for ex. their donuts, coffee, soup and salads are good, dressings are homemade and light. but i don’t like their pita bread or falafel at all… falafel are 2 star grade compare to any middle eastern place Lets come to why i am giving than 2 star instead of 3. I was being charged for some of their things $ 3 and suddenly for exact same thing it is $ 4 and next day $ 3 and then again, $ 4., somethings used to $ 1.5 than its $ 1 or $ 2. its not about a dollar or two, its about professionalism. and it has not happened once or twice but many many a times :-(

Decided to go here since it was recommended. Its a small little place… may not see it right away since its inside one of those business building but theres a sign that help you find the place. There’s a nice foundation that close to this place It is a good place to get a quick lunch from work. Workers are friendly and they can make your food quick if it’s not busy. I Had lamb gyro for $ 6 dollar. It’s decent. The lamb has this somewhat an after taste. But its still good enough to get you half full to your stomach

Had lunch with a coworker here today. Good spot with friendly employees. You can tell this is a family owned and operated place. Prices are reasonable. It’s in the middle of an office building. Fortunately they have a sign out front directing people where to go. I had a felafel wrap and it was ok. It was definitely a lot of food and I’m glad we went. They used Tabasco sauce in it, which I thought was kinda funny, but it worked. My friend had a gyro and I have to say that it looked only marginal. I’ll be back here sometime soon for a regular sandwich. Good place if you’re in the area and don’t want to go far.

This place is mostly for the regulars. I go here twice a week for a quick lunch sandwich. The food is good and is prepared just like you want. The people here are kind and listen to feedback or any suggestions. I wouldn’t expect anything more for six dollars.

This very small office park café services primarily the tenants of the Lake Amir business park(group of 3 small buildings). If you don’t work in one of these three buildings, this is probably not the place for you. The owners are very nice and it’s very convenient to run down for a quick breakfast/coffee/snacks/lunch that you take back to your desk — otherwise there are plenty of other options nearby.

I really like this place. The food goes up and down here and there yeah, but overall I always have a good experience. The owners of this place are much better than the old owners and they are very personable nice people. They care about their customers a lot, and if you do have a problem tell them about it and they will make good with no hassles.

I’m a bit surprised at the reviews stating that it is overpriced. The hot breakfast that I order is typically $ 3 and my lunch is $ 4. I typically eat at Café on the Lake for one or two meals a day. Seeing as it is more affordable than the grocery store, I will certainly keep it up. It also helps that the staff is incredibly friendly. I must also note that I am giving it 5 stars as an office café with friendly service, great pricing, and generally good food as opposed to a destination or date restaurant. BTW, I get the tuna all the time. It is better than Molly Stones and waaaay cheaper.

I am not sure what motivates me to go back to this place. It’s such a crap shoot as to whether or not I’ll like what I get. The specials of the day can be good, sometimes. Their sandwiches, really, do not float my boat. And their tuna is just not right. Do not get a tuna melt, no matter how much you might want one. It won’t make you sick, empirically, but it just won’t taste right. Also, there is no lake. There is a fountain with pools.
