I’ve always loved this place. People are amazing, food is great. Will always recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Was alright thus time, portions are small and expensive. Such a ripoff. And last time we went for pickup we waited half an hour, even though it wasn’t that full. And right around then, a small child stabbed his father with a fork. Which led to chaos and the servers asking if they should call 911. That added another 20 minutes to the order while the waiters ran around indecisively.

Well I believe it would be Cliché to start this review of stating that Yum Thai2 is Yummy but I don’t care! Yum Thai2 is Yuuuuummmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. This was my first time dining at Yum Thai2 and will definitely not be the last. The hostess was very attentive and she pointed out several items to try. Since there were vibrant and colorful pictures in the menu, it wasn’t a hard decision. I often despise going to Asian restaurants with 200 menu items and no pictures included to decipher what you are actually ordering, since most entrees seem to be separated by one ingredient. The Appetizer: a tasty order of gyoza. Seared lightly and deep fried long enough to get a crunchy coat and juicy center. The Meal: Mine. A wonderfully seasoned helping of the vermicelli bowl with chicken and a sweet sauce… His. a tasty plate of chicken Pad Thai. We ate every bite and I can’t wait to return for their anniversary special. Their dinner prices can’t be beat, others in the Business should Follow Suit

The phở here is sooo good, my new favorite place. The vegetable phở is loaded with whole veggies, broccoli, carrots, etc. both the fried pork and fresh veggie spring rolls were delicious!!! We will be back for sure!

This is my new Asian destination in San Antonio. Food is authentic and they were equally adept at Vietnamese Phở. Have the pad Thai! Panang Curry is perfecting prepared with just right int of heat.

This was a very local Thai(and also Vietnamese) place near a Thanksgiving visit. I like to seek out local ethnic places whenever possible(as opposed to the standard chains, I mean, live a little folks, LOL). During the holiday weekend it was very empty for a Friday night. Tough to judge whether this was a reflection of food quality, etc. or just a bad time. Good news was, no issue getting a table! Our first table was extremely dark. Like so dark we could not read the menu. A bit odd we were only given two menus for four of us, but it wasn’t hard to share. We immediately asked(and were given) a new table with an overhead light. I have great vision but no way most people could read at this particular table. And no single light to brighten without brightening the house lights. Just weird, probably a space modified from what it was before into a dining room. Service took a bit longer than I might expect for such a dead evening but we weren’t in a hurry(not that hungry, we stayed at the table after dinner talking for some time). We also didn’t have silverware to start(maybe because we moved tables). Water refresh cadence was also a bit lax. Food came out quickly after the order(we weren’t even fully done with salads and appetizers). Food was average for Thai(I do have high expectations). The Pad Thai had(we counted them) six shrimp but generous portions of noodles. The other dishes had plenty of food for the price which was reasonable. I really only go 2 stars if I won’t go there again, but nothing spectacular here. I’d go back, but might find another option because there are so many. This particular area is booming with new restaurants, seemingly saturated and perhaps why places are opening and closing so much.

Gross! Ate here once and never returned. I got pad thai which was ok but nothing special, no flavor. My daughter ordered the sesame chicken which was hard and inedible. Service was SLOW and lacking there were only 3 other tables with customers so it wasn’t busy either.

Meh. Had the massaman curry with tofu. Lotsa flavor but not the right temperature and it had no spice at all. There wasn’t any sriracha on the table either and that made me sad. Rangoon was also ‘meh’ as there wasn’t much flavor. Spring roll had shrimp in it — watch out vegetarians! Anyhow, if those things could be fixed, it’d be alright. Environment is decent. People are friendly. Location is easy to get to. Prices are not too bad if you go at lunchtime.

We have eaten here many times, both dine in and take out. I can say we have never had a problem with either one. We got it to go tonight and everything was hot, fresh and delicious! They are pretty pricey, but it was worth it!

Nice, clean restaurant faced away from the highway & close to where I work! If you eat Thai food a lot, you would probably agree that it’s a Vietnamese restaurant named«Yum Thai» The Tom Kha was pitifully depressing, not spicy at all and quite bland. I had phở on another occasion and it was not nearly as disappointing as my previous soup! I won’t go again, but if you’re into the Americanized oriental food scene, then you should be in heaven!

It’s a bit pricey for the amount of food that you get. I ordered a fried spring roll thinking there would at least be 2 – 3 whole rolls in there to-go and there was only ONE! Yes, one thick spring roll about 1.5 inches in diameter cut into 5 pieces that were about 1.5 inches in length each. But it was still just ONE spring roll for $ 5! Outrageous! It was good though while it lasted. The fish sauce was good as well. I ordered another appetizer Yum Nua(they spelled it «Yum Nuer» for some reason) and on the actual menu it was $ 11! It could all fit in one hand if i could grab it all. If you order it through the PayPal app, it’s only $ 6.99 on there, so i ordered and paid through the app and picked it up at the location.(I think they forgot to bump up the price on the PayPal app cuz on the menu they have a tiny sticker on it — I should’ve ordered 2!) Once my food was ordered, only took about 10 minutes. I was already at the store when i ordered everything because they did not know how to take a PayPal order«in-person,» with a scanner and such. I do have to give them credit for the speedy service at least. And the 2 guys that helped me were very nice and helpful. The manager honestly told me that all their bubble tea is NOT made with real fruit. All made with mostly powders and very few with syrups. NONE of the boba tea contain real fruit in them. NONE. But, maybe that’s why they’re only $ 3.99. That was the only cheap thing, which i can see paying for TBH. =/

ALWAYSCHECKTHATYOURRECEIPTANDMENUPRICESMATCH !! Take a picture, do something proactively bc they will nickel and dime you. Not a good experience. I can’t appreciate rules and prices that are inconsistent. Half their menus don’t have the appropriate stickers stating their«rules/prices» so after taking the time to choose, ordering… then having them say«oh well this rule or that rule» is extremely annoying. Admit your mistake, fix it for next time and keep a customer returning with a positive attitude. My husband took a stand seeing how upset I was and we left before ordering. You lost a table of 5 and two previous customers over 5 dollars. Customers, who live in the area and have eaten at your establishment before. Again, it’s simple. Fix the mistake, get organized and provide a pleasant experience. New Thai places are opening in the area, fyi.

The soup was good, but only two shrimps and rest it was ok. Houston phở is better. Services need some improvement.

The food here is pretty decent. I went here a few times for the phở which I would give a 6 out of 10. I came here one time to order food for my wife and I and I ordered a dish that contained shrimp. The price was like $ 15, but when I was about to pay, the cashier told me that any seafood dish is $ 3 extra. Ugh, if it says $ 15 then what do I get if I don’t pay $ 3? The cashier argued with me for about 5 minutes in broken English until she started to plea that the $ 3 gives you extra shrimp. So now you want to change your story because I saw through your nickel and dime add on scheme? I left without making an order and cooked food at home. I never returned since then.

The chicken pad Thai was not good. I won’t be getting again. We tried a curry and it was good but not spicy at all. The chicken wings were mediocre. We got our order to go. When we arrived no one else was there. People arrived after we had ordered. However, they all go their food before us. Bad to go service. Their only saving grace is their taro bubble tea. I’ll come back just for that.

I have eaten here three times. The lunch specials have been tasty. Except one thing: all three times, if I were the send it back kind of customer, I would have asked them to microwave the food to heat it up. All three times parts of my dish had cooled to room temperature, and the rest was barely warm. It has to be the slow service. The kitchen prepares the tasty dish quickly, then the wait staff let’s it sit until they get around to bringing it to the table. My conclusion is that if you eat here you won’t get burned. FOLLOW-UP: I’ve been wanting to give this place yet another try. Once again, only very slow service. First time for dinner. Sunday night. After fifteen minutes without water, a «hello,» or even a wave, we left. At least flip me the bird or something. Newsflash: customers do not like being ignored. They like even less being shot dirty looks when they leave after being ignored.

Eat here, not to go and not delivery. As you can tell by my pictures I really like the fried rice. It’s really good. If you can’t take spicy, make sure you ask for mild. It goes all the way up to Thai hot which I love. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. Comes with soup and spring roll. Also yum!
