Spring Chinese Cuisine & Pho

Too bad this place with tasty food, low prices and great service is virtually empty all the time probably due to location signage not being visible from street level. Come to find out owner of the building has an idiotic rule prohibiting visible signage that has already put 2 prior restaurants at this location out of business, a nice pizzaria and a brazilian steakhouse.
Good luck and hope you can find a way to let folks you are there.

Love this place, I’ve ordered for pickup a couple of times. Loved the general tso chicken and the cochlea mushroom. The egg rolls are wonderful too. We’ll continue to try out the menu. So glad this is so close to home.

Phở was surprisingly very good and tasteful. I only came for phở so can’t comment on the rest of the menu.

Was so excited that a new Chinese Restaurant had opened up in Stone Oak. Unfortunately, we will not be back after our first visit. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed there were only two people eating during the middle of lunch hour, which I thought was strange, but no big deal. We sat down at a table by the window and noticed the shades were dirty and there was a bug leg on the window sill. We had really been looking forward to trying this place, so we stayed. We ordered the spring roll appetizer, and asked for a few more moments to decide on our entrée. A few minutes later another waitress who was not our original waitress approaches our table and asks us for our order. We order the Chef Duy’s pad thai special that according to the menu comes with both your choice of rice AND either a roll, Rangoon, or soup. The waitress took my order first with no problem, then my husband orders the exact same thing with the exception of ordering steamed rice vs the fried rice I ordered. The waitress informed us that his steamed rice would be extra, and then also later points out that my fried rice would also be extra. We pointed out that the menu lists this as a choice and she proceeded to let us know that it is a mistake on the menu… seriously, people. She said she would double check with her manager, who sent her back out to re-​inform us that it was a mistake on the menu. We were completely ticked off at this point, so we asked for a few more minutes to look at the rest of the menu. Our original waitress comes back to our table and asks us if we are ready to order… so who is our waitress? We told her about the situation and she acted like this has happened several times before. You would think they would have fixed their menu by now?
We ate the spring rolls, which are advertised in their menu with a picture showing four spring rolls and dipping sauce. Luckily we noticed a two in parenthesis next to the item because it only comes with two.. After we finished our spring rolls, the second waitress comes out and asks us for our order after we already told our original waitress that we would not be ordering anything else. This second waitress informs us that she talked to her manager again and that they would let us have the rice with the combo afterall. The manager should have fixed this mistake the first time around not after she finds out that we are about to leave. This place just seems poorly managed, and we do not blame the waitstaff for that. They have a lot of issues to fix on their menu that seem misleading and the management needs to get things right the first time. We were extremely disappointed.

Don’t order delivery here if you want consistency. Every time I call to order delivery they have a different excuse as to why they cannot deliver. For example I tried calling earlier they said they couldn’t deliver until 3. I waited till 3:30 called they said they couldn’t deliver till 4, I just called again and now they have said they can’t deliver till 5. I’m not sure why I wasn’t told 5 to begin with. I have 3 small kids so it’s hard to get them out to pick it up so I will be ordering from somewhere else from now on. Food is good but but if you’re going to advertise delivery they should make sure they have consistency and be more informative of their delivery status instead of wasting people’s time.

Spring Chinese… limited menu, very clean, great friendly wait staff! My food was very good. The cheese Rangoon was delicious not chincy with the cream cheese! I had chicken lettuce wraps, big lots of lettuce not so much chicken. What was there was very fresh and cooked perfectly, the tangy sauce that came with was awesome. Can’t report on more didn’t have any room left! Give it a taste, I think you will be surprised. Great to have here in Stone Oak!

My family and I are new to San Antonio, therefore my feedback regarding price may not be a fair review. I think their service and quality of food is excellent, however, I think their prices relative to portion size is high. The area which I came from offered like quality for a lot less. Having said that, it doesn’t negate the fact that their food and service is excellent. (:

The ordering & delivery process through Unilocal was very easy and fast.
BUT the taste of the food was very bland, without taste/​flavor. I ordered the small House Lo Mein with shrimp, beef, & chicken. There was 2 shrimp. Yes, TWO. I would’ve been Ok with that. But those two shrimp tasted like they were fresh out of the frozen bag. I was shocked because shrimp usually soaks up the flavor of the food around it. So, with it being in the noodles… you see where I’m going? I also ordered sesame chicken. It was «ok.»
Well, I’m at the point where if my Rangoon doesn’t taste good, I’m not finishing the food at all.

Fast and friendly service. Their crab rangoons are the BOMB. The phở was super filling. Can’t wait to make a trip back to try one of their lunch specials.

(Most recent visit) After a bad delivery experience I decided to give this restaurant another try. I dined in so I can’t comment on any fixes to their delivery service but definitely enjoyed the food and fast and friendly service. I will definitely eat here again.
(First visit) I was excited to see a Chinese food place open 2min from my house and was dying to try them out. I placed an order online and was told it would arrive in 30min. 15min passed the time it was supposed to arrive and no food I called and was told driver left 10min prior and would arrive shortly. Ok. Another 30min went by, no food yet so I called again. I was told the driver was «stuck in traffic». Stuck in traffic?! I live 2min away and it’s been 45min!!! I waited another 15min for a grand total of 60min after it was supposed to be delivered and NEVER got my food. I called, got a refund, and ate somewhere else.

Food was ok. I ordered a to go plate as we ordered our dinner. Waited maybe 20 mins more after we ate dinner. The place wasn’t even busy. First and last time to come here. I had to cancel my order. Their excuse was chicken wings take a lot longer to cook. Right!!!
So you want me to go easy on the stars. I would give a 0star if I could. I ordered my food right when we ordered dinner. We were there for more than an hour. People came in got their order while we were eating, but yet after we finished eating and waiting for another 30 mins or so for my order it was still not done. Server tells me 5 to 7 mins, then another server tells me since its chicken wings it takes longer. Longer than an hour? That’s a joke.

This was probably the worst Chinese food I’ve had in recent memory. The lø mein was thin, the «fried rice» was bland and the general tso’s wasn’t very flavorful. (I’ve had better food from street vendors) If that wasn’t enough the driver (s) kept calling for directions and they left off 2 things I already paid for. Then they send a SECOND driver who calls not knowing where the heck they’re going and in the end they never even show up with the items they missed! I don’t have high standards whatsoever but this was just horrible. Needless to say this was the first and LAST time I order or eat from this place!

I dined in today and the food is still fantastic. The waitress was quick to refill my drink and always made sure that I was doing ok. The hot and sour soup is still on point. It’s guaranteed to clear up your sinuses… lol. The lemon chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Next time I come in, I plan to try the Phở. It’s very clean and the food is always fresh. Definitely give this place a chance.

Food is very delicious with a fast and friendly wait staff! Definitely recommend!

Finally made it over for lunch. It was very good. I ordered the fried spring rolls with a #17 Phở. It was so good. The weather being what it is, (yucky out) that was exactly what was needed.
The staff was super friendly. Such a wonderful hidden gem we have near by. I’m hoping more people will stop by and check it out.

My first visit here was yesterday. Delicious Phở and spring rolls! And GREAT customer service! Will be visiting here frequently!

I couldn’t give it less then a 1 star unfortunately. Broccoli and beef-​not good at all. Lo Mein was not good. Egg drop soup was just okay, however, cheese rangoons were great. I will not order from here again… fried rice was dry and no veggies in the fried rice. Big huge disappointment as this was the new Chinese spot in stone oak. That was $ 38 too much that I spent. Thai Pai is so much better!

Ordered delivery from Spring Cuisine for the first time. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein. My roommate ordered the Lemon Chicken. Both, were bland. My Egg Drop Soup had mold in it, they forgot to put in the Spring Rolls and I asked for extra soy sauce and we got one packet to split between the two of us. We ended up not eating any of it. This was after we waited an hour and a half for our food. After the wait, the driver was unpleasant because he parked on the wrong side and I live on the third floor. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
