We’ve been here multiple times and we always feel it’s good food at a good price. Service is attentive and friendly. We’ve tried the Chinese and Thai dishes and we feel everything is tasty and well-prepared. The spice/heat level can be a problem: «mild» level is just right for American palates; «medium» spice was numbing to our tongues! They also have a website and takeout orders are a big part of their business.

We tried this place when it first opened and it was decent. We haven’t been back since then because our favorite Thai restaurant is Lemongrass off Thousand Oaks and 281. Today I decided to give them another shot because they are close to my house. That was a mistake. Drunken Thai noodles were no good. Way over seasoned and salty. Very small portion also. There $ 4 Thai Tea Boba was crap. Tasted old, like it was left out for awhile. The tapioca pearls were hard in the center. If you want a good Boba tea fix, I would avoid restaurants in San Antonio that serve it in general. Goto an actual Tea House to get it, but that’s hard to come by in SA. A teahouse nearby in the area that is good is Boba Tea Lounge in Selma.

Ordered four entrees and some spring rolls for takeout. All were«mild» spiciness with chicken. Pad Thai was okay-not-great, pad pak was decent, yellow curry was pretty good, and their green curry was frikkin’ delicious. Be aware that the green curry is a bit hotter than other dishes even at a mild spice level. Portion size was big, and we had plenty of leftovers after dinner with four adults and two small toddlers. Spring rolls were pretty good too. I wonder now if the pad Thai was unimpressive because I ordered the mild spice, and if it would taste significantly better with a spicier flavor. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place for green curry but look elsewhere for amazing pad Thai.

I bring all my friends here. No one is ever disappointed. I brought my mother for lunch, and she liked it so much, she brought her husband. This is a HUGE compliment! Lunch specials are what you would expect(soup, entrée, rice, and egg roll) but also include iced tea. I don’t sweeten my tea, and theirs is always refreshing, never bitter. Considering all that is included, they are very reasonably priced. The Pad Thai noodles are excellent. On par with much more expensive places. Pad eggplant is very delicious, and when I think about it, I end up ordering it almost every time.

A few weeks ago a friend and I had a hankering for some Thai food and as I normally hit up Yum Thai 2 for my fix, he wanted to try something different. I Unilocaled the closest restaurant and up popped Thai Hut Bistro. I can only rate the establishment on location, customer service, speed of service and taste as I only sampled a few morsels of the Pad Thai that was ordered. Location = five minutes from the house and conveniently located on Bulverde… Customer Service = was quick and the staff were friendly… Speed= Food came out quickly within ten minutes… Taste= While the Pad Thai looked almost bleached white and not saucy enough for me, it was actually flavorful, packed a punch of seasoning and had me reaching for more than one forkful… My friend offered the 3 Star review and the Unilocaler in me had a duty to report that he stated this establishment was on the return list, definitely one of the better meals he had tried all week and one place that would see more of his business. I was definitely pleased with the portion I tried and second his notion that Thai Hut Bistro will be on my return list. Ms. Foodie~

I was here with my eldest son who was visiting from out of town. I am new to SA and was craving Thai food. We ordered egg rolls and something off their lunch special. The food was ok… I have had better Thai Cuisine before. The food was super hot and spicy which my son or myself do not mind at all. But, the flavor was not quite there. The worst part was after eating our meal I decided to use their rest room on our way out. Bad decision. There was a dead bug on the bathroom floor which looked like a roach but, I made a U-turn and did not bother to exam it any closer and headed out the door. Enough said !!

Me and my wife were visiting San Antonio for the week and found this diamond in the rough through Unilocal. Most places I have travelled would have«Americanized» Thai food, but this place is one of the few that actually serves authentic Thai food. The cheese rolls are a great appetizer, the curry’s are delicious as well as my favorite the pad see ewe. The chicken and rice soup is also great. I could go on and on but let’s just say out of all the places to eat around here, we ate here every night. The staff is also great!!! Each time we are here every single waiter/waitress working stopped by our table at least once throughout our dinner to check how we were doing, even though they were not our actual server. I highly recommend this restaurant for its quiet atmosphere, great food, and excellent service.

Love this place! Great food! Great service! The servers are so nice and thoughtful! And they have the best fresh coconut water!!! Look at the prettiness! There is a male server, who is the best!

My family has visited this restaurant about once a month for the last year and the food and service had been acceptable. It wasn’t until our most recent visit on Friday night(22Feb16) that I had an issue. On my son’s 21st birthday he had something crunchy in his Pineapple fried rice, which we found out we’re numerous particles of glass. We showed the waitress and she took the plate away and offered a new meal, but no one wanted to eat after that. Additionally, no manager came by to apologize and the waitress promptly brought me the full bill with the pineapple rice included. Then she tried to explain that the cooks didn’t know where the glass came from as though it wasn’t there fault. I was upset by the implications and decided to leave and never go back. Other than that, my pad mama was good.

Great for lunch $ 7.95 for red curry, fried rice side, soup, and spring roll. Spice level was HOT just like I ordered! I would come back for lunch here. My partner had the Pad Thai which was sub par color is off and the pork was chewy.

I like this place. If you follow my check in’s you’ll see that I come here often. I work at home now so this place is right around the corner. Are there better Thai restaurants with in driving distance, sure. But the chicken pad thai is pretty good here. I really enjoy the thai spring rolls, and the thai iced tea is pretty good. I have a few grips: 1 I’ve ordered pad thai here several times and asked for spicy but was given mild. 2. If you order pad thai with beef, the beef will be dry and chewy.(It happened more than twice) 3. I know this is nit picky, but sometimes come here twice a week and I still feel like a stranger with the staff. The Vietnamese restaurant that used to be in this space, moved a few miles down the road, but I always felt like I was coming to a friends house when I was there. We talked about sports, weather, politics, and culinary events. With the new owners the staff seems less friendly. All said and done the food is good enough to keep me coming back, but I’m not going to be bringing any dates here. If the staff would pay attention to small details like ordering spicy and not pre cooking the meats, I think this would be a great 5 star place. room for improvement, but it still beats any Chinese restaurant around here for miles in all directions

We were staying at the JW Marriott and wanted to get some Thai food for dinner. We had seen this place from 281 and thought we’d try it. Place was mostly empty when we got there around 7pm on the Sunday before Labor Day. During our dinner a few other tables filled up Nd some people came in for pickup orders but overall there weren’t many people. There was only one waitress /hostess and she was doing her best but service was slow and kind of sloppy. The food was pretty good. It was on par with most Thai places. Same dishes. We ordered the papaya salad, shrimp skewers, eggplant and tofu, chicken ginger, and pad see ew beef. I think because the service was slow, most of the dishes were lukewarm by the time they came out. They were okay but nothing great. The server kept spilling sauce from the dishes and in general didn’t seem to be very experienced. She was nice though. Overall, we probably wouldn’t go back. There was a Vietnamese place in the area that had better food.

Anyone who gives this pace more than two stars has clearly not eaten real Thai food before. The Tom Yum soup was not fresh, or they didn’t know how to make it. The lemongrass had become so overpowering(which happens when you serve it the next day) that all I could taste was lemon. The Pad Gra Prow was smothered with an excessive amount of onions and if I would not had asked for extra basil, it would have just tasted like onions. My husband described his beef in his Pad Thai as shoe leather. To top off our experience, they didn’t have any Thai ice tea, because they forgot to make it. San Antonio is not known for having good Thai food, but this exceptionally bad.

First time here. This location use to be Le Saigon at TPC pkwy Food: Ordered Pad Thai Beef Spicy lunch special includes soup and tea. Good flavor of ingredients. Not too spicy.(Beef was okay) Service: Thursday @ 11:30am, no lunch crowd whatsoever. Fast service (Restaurant had an order which spelled like cleaning chemicals as soon as you walk in, so unpleasant. Note: Native of SF Bay Area so very acquainted with Asian food. Would go back to try different dish.
