Very impressed with the service, food, quality and quantity. As soon as we entered we were welcomed by multiple employees and were very pleased with how many people made sure we were doing alright, most of the management even introduced themselves. It was a great first time visit and will definitely be returning!

Great atmosphere along with service. Chicken Piccata is out of this world and on like anything I have ever had. This place makes all of their pizzas dough and pasta from scratch!!! Will definitely be back next time and be sure to save some room for a Tiramisu t

Let me first say, that I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant for some time. In addition, I tried this restaurant on 3 separate occasions because I wanted to be sure it was just not a bad night; unfortunately it is pretty consistently bad. Ambience– Very cozy feel, nice décor Value– A bit overpriced for Italian food Food quality– Quite possibly the worst spaghetti and meatballs I have ever been served(lots of grease underneath the pasta and virtually no sauce to speak of); the pizza is too hit or miss, one night the pizza was good, one night the pizza was burnt to a crisp(and they still boxed it up and did not think twice about serving it up for delivery… incredible. I actually did not notice it until I got home and we had to bring it back to the restaurant(I did not think to look at it when I picked it up). — I will address the management response in the next section. Management– Inept at dealing with customers. I do not say this lightly. The first time I went and the spaghetti and meatballs were terrible, I politely explained to the Manager that it just was not good and I also explained to him why I thought that. I also mentioned that I wanted to tell him this because I really wanted this place to be my new go-to place. I received the bill and there was no offer to take the meal off my tab even though my daughter thought it was so bad that she could not eat it. I ate a quarter of mine and then left the rest. What makes matters worse, is that I saw one of the owners there and he did not even take the time to come by and ask what the issue was or even acknowledge me in any way. It is with a heavy heart that I say this place is not for me. I do hope they get their act together though, because we do need more Italian restaurants in our section of town. Julian’s Pizzeria over off of bitters is my go to spot;Julian is a class-act and his pizza is excellent! Happy eating!

Like the food. Menu is a tad limited during certain times, would like that roast beef sandwich available all day long ;) Love the calamari

Over priced and the garlic knots are gummy. My pasta and meatballs were eh. The meatballs were hard and dry. The Italian margarita was good.

I’m really disappointed in the pizza. It has the potential to be ok. The dough might be good, but how would I know. Mine was half raw! Why are restaurants so afraid to cook pizza until the cheese and dough blisters? Especially if your trying to make a Neapolitan pizza! Also, there is the secret little herb that Italians use, it’s called oregano — the pizza herb? You might want to put some in your sauce or on the pizza. There is also a seasoning called salt. Once so valuable, it was used as currency. Can you say bland? I knew you could. Oh, and don’t ask for a side of marinara to dip the only part of the dough that is fully cook, not blistered! You’ll pay $ 1 for an ounce of tomato juice! Again, where is the salt and herbs? Finally, a margarita pizza should use Romano tomatoes not sandwich slices. This is not McDonalds, or is it? And, don’t mince your basil as though it came from a tube. I’d like to see basil leaves.

I have been here a few times and I love the ambience of this place. I have only ordered the pizza so I can’t comment on much else. The pizza is very good and you have a variety of options including build your own. Garlic knots were a nice appetizer however the most recent visit they were knot as good as they were in the past. I’m sure it was just a fluke. Great addition to the area. Hope the ambience and quality remains if not improve.(We can always improve, right?) Yummy!

This place exceeded our expectations! For one, this is a «real» restaurant. We sat in the bar area and we had no less than four different people see about us during service. They make their pasta by hand and the detail they put in their food shows. Service was on point! My husband ordered the special, a clams and mussels in a red sauce. I ordered the saltimbocca pasta with chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto. Let me just tell you it was amazing! The plates were extremely hot, we had two glasses of excellent wine from Josh Cellars a Cab. Dessert was great. We will definitely be back! This is a real restaurant, not a mom and pop operation, very professional, from beginning to end.

Excellent. I could make a very filling meal on the appetizers alone. We will be returning for sure.

Great service fast food arrival, unfortunately the pizza had not much flavor and a little too much cheese. Had the 16″ mushroom and pepperoni. The place is beautiful with very nice Christmas decorations the oven is super nice covered in penny’s but we were there for the pizza.

I’ve eaten here several times, and even used to work at the new location during the opening month. I just picked up a pepperoni pizza and calamari and couldn’t be more disappointed. First off the calamari tastes bland and has the texture of a microwaved tire that has been beaten with a sledge hammer. Between myself and my girlfriend we haven’t been able to even down a single piece of what is supposed to be calamari. The pepperoni pizza is slightly better but the crust is burned on one side and also lacks any real discernable flavor which is a feat in itself. When the restaurant opened and during the soft openings it did have some quality but that’s clearly escaped them. Save your money and eat at olive garden. You’ll get better value for your money.

Friendly staff, very clean overall. Décor and theme isn’t overdone or cheesy. Great atmosphere… can get a bit tight inside. Outdoor seating is nice with outdoor heaters. Food is comparable to Maggiano’s. It was a bit salty the last time we went… but same goes for Maggiano’s. I would rate the pasta dish a 3.8 out of 4. Garlic knots are awesome. Sandwiches were really good and the house pizza is awesome! The salads are good and the add on meats were very tasty! Glad to have this close by.

Wow! What a great experience at a nice restaurant close to home. My in laws were in town so we took this time to test out Tui Steppies because it was close and had great reviews, that were well deserved. All the food was amazing and great portion sizes for the adults. We did find that our kids could have probably all shared one kids pizza because they were HUGE! Lots of pizza leftovers for us, but the kids thought they were delicious! The restaurant is beautiful but we didn’t feel out of place having the kids. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Let’s play a game…“Never have I ever…” 1.) Never have I ever paid $ 18 for some basic chicken Alfredo. 2.) Never have I ever opened said Alfredo to be met with a container ¼ full of below average basicness. 3.) Never have I ever written a one star review within 15 minutes of eating said Alfredo. Well three cheers to all of those as they just happened. Blah! I was excited about Tiu Steppis coming to this side of town, but I won’t be returning.

Three visits there before I wrote this review– Great place at a reasonable price. It out classes the national chains by far. Their dishes are made with fresh ingredients and you can watch them prepare the garlic knots and other dishes from the front room. This food is comparable to Maggianos. If you want better Italian in this neighborhood that would only leave Aldinos, but the price there goes way up. I’ve had their ravioli, a custom pizza and the spaghetti, also Calamari, garlic knots and Tira Mirsu. I love fresh roasted garlic cloves and they are not stingy with them. The ravioli is obviously nothing Chef Boyardee would recognize. Decadent with reduced wine and cheese, they serve arugula with it because it is so creamy the bitterness of the arugula cuts it. The calamari is, well calamari. Two sauces. But I’m fond of marinara and will probably request that.(The staff will make changes or additions on request) The garlic knots are lightly browned bread used as a transport medium for butter, garlic and things my palate is not sophisticated enough to identify. Great, and if you sponge all the extra garlic/butter/olive oil sauce onto them they could kill a vampire at 30 paces. :-) My wife ordered them every time. It’s pretty tough to mess up Spaghetti. It’s even tougher to make it something exceptional. I make the spaghetti in our house and my wife loves it– — and I think I am now relieved of that duty. Theirs is better than mine. That only leaves me with the duties of grilling, tv remote operator and wine sommelier. Wine– wine list is good. Enough choices to find something you like. Ranges from house wines to Silver Oak Napa. Caymus, Stags Leap Artemis– their Meiomi Pinot Noir is reasonably priced at about 150% mark up over retail. All the way down to Da Vinci Chianti which is a decent table wine. (I wish I had ordered a dry Chardonnay with the ravioli.) Some good craft beers at the bar. Had a Cinco Peso with my pizza. So why 4 stars instead of 5. Because I couldn’t give 4 ½ and they are still going through a few growing pains but the manager will make sure you leave happy. Also, The pizza is really good and this is picky, but they haven’t got the oven temp quite right. A little more heat on top, a little less on the bottom. They won’t beat«Dough» on Blanco but they will be #2. The staff makes tiny mistakes but they correct any issue cheerful and quickly. The effort is there. One more thing. The bartender was very good(sat at the bar for my pizza) and they do have two muted very discreet TVs up high so you can take your wife out for a nice meal and follow a game loosely. Not enough to make her angry and less annoying than checking your phone in front of her. :-)

Best restaurant in the area! Have enjoyed several entrees and types of wine this week. Staff make good recommendations, so don’t be afraid to ask. Nice atmosphere, large portions, and a good staff. If you live near Bulverde Rd. and 1604, stop by on your way home from work. If you live further away, it’s worth a drive to check it out.

Great hangout place! Loved the atmosphere and the service. Ordered the potato pizza which sounds different but it’s delicious! We also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. I think the meatballs are made with Italian sausage which was awesome. Prices are great for what you get. I’ll definitely be back!

What a great place! Tiu Steppis just opened recently and we’ve been waiting patiently for it to do so as we live right up the road. I was expecting something along the lines of Olive Garden but boy was I wrong! Tiu Steppis is classy and modern with a wonderful outdoor seating area and an elegant interior. You can sit in front of the kitchen and watch them put pizzas into the copper covered brick oven, or sidle up to the full bar for a cocktail. I enjoyed a Tuscan Tea(long island); it was very satisfying. For antipasto we had the garlic knots and olives; delectable and not overfilling, which is good because when you get your entrée you’ll still have room! I ordered the ravioli and my husband the chicken pesto, both were to die for. We will return again!

Paid $ 12.95 for a 12″ pizza which is not a bad deal — it filled me up and left me some breakfast. Pretty fancy interior though a little small — cozy, maybe… Have to wait for a table on a weekend. Crowd seemed a little older than I. There was a good selection of pizzas and I picked the Greek. It was great: not too greasy, really chunky peppers and artichokes. Tried some salad too and it was delicious. Overall 3 pizzas arrived at the same time and it was not too slow! They have fresh Parmesan but it comes as a block and the server had some difficulty shredding it — they might need a new way to do that. The kitchen is all open and viewable — I feel like that’s the thing nowadays but I just don’t care to see it — that’s the ‘back’ and I’m in the ‘front’ as a customer. I don’t care what happens back there.

We’ve been here twice since their grand opening and both times have been perfect. The food is excellent. The employees are fabulous. The place is beautiful. You can dress up for a date night or come as you are. We sat at the same table both times we visited. We were able to see our pizza being made fresh — to include the basil being picked off its stem. The pizza crust is amazing. It’s light, not too thin and definitely not thick, and the crisp the oven gives it is fabulous. This place is just such a breath of fresh air to have around the neighborhood.
