I really liked this place! It reminded me of the little low key restaurantes in Mexico. If you’re looking for the stylized version of the dishes look elsewhere, this place is legit. They have the dishes Mexican moms make at home. Stews Walked in with my husband, he ordered enchiladas that were pretty good and I had a delicious platter of lengua. The tortillas are fresh, the rice is just like my mom’s and the salsas are not bad. I gotta go back and try the soups. So convenient that this place is also cheap and close to my house.

So 2 years ago I moved from Ohio and without knowing it moved 5 minutes from the best taco place in San Antonio. Before moving I had no idea what a breakfast taco was and now I thrive on them. When I say them I mean this Tink-a-Tako. I have tried others and only been disappointed. Please order a Bacon, Egg, Papa, and Cheese and let me know if I am wrong in my review. It is the perfect combination. If I ever move I will order 20 of them to last me for the road trip.

Really good getting hot Caldo. Tummy issues. But they always have great food. And it’s close by house

The food isn’t very good and was also cold. The prices were higher than most other local Mexican restaurants. I prefer the other restaurant next door.

This is such a great location. We come here weekly it’s so good. Clean restaurant area. The whole wait-staff are always very kind to us. The food is righteous. The last time we came in, there was a little girl that was waiting tables and it was just so cute. Very nice place!

Took my family to breakfast here and it was all around a bad experience. The beans tasted like old oil, the migas were extremely greasy, and the pancakes were spongy and flavorless. We were never checked on by our waitress, never received refills on soda or coffee, and the safety belt on the high chair was broken. We will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Not even close to good. Other locations at least offer attentive service and the quality is better. The only thing remotely good are the tortillas. Beans were cold, the pork in the pozole was fatty, not to mention it took nearly thirty minutes to get our meal(there were only two other tables with diners). Finally, the employees seemed more interested in picking out songs on the jukebox(which was cranked!). No mas, Tinka Tako. No mas.

Eli’s charm & responsiveness enhanced the enchiladas/rice/fish/refried beans. Good food & very pleasant/efficient service — made a nice adjustment. Very reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere, I’ll be back.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town because it’s not all tex-mex. The enchilada sauce is really good. I always get the cheese enchiladas. Chips and salsa are good but they charge you for refills now. I think it was only $ 1 but pretty ridiculous. The rice and beans are good. Tortillas are made fresh. Service is usually fast.

I ordered the carne guisadas on my way to work. When I opened it to eat them there was nothing but gravy. I thought maybe they were having an off when I got of work that same day I went back and bought me some more. Nothing but gray my husband took back inside and let the guy know and he changed them out with no problem.

Love this place but, DONOTGOONSUNDAYS! They messed up our WHOLE order one week, the barbacoa made the following Sunday was terrible(which was REALLY upsetting) and they gave less than half as much chicken on the fajita plate than usual. I usually love this place but whoever they have working on Sundays just doesn’t care about quality or maintaining patrons. Mon-Fri has always been good, Saturdays I’ve never been but if your looking for great food on Sundays… Go somewhere else.

Worst. Drive-Thru. Service. Ever. Seriously, the worst. I’ve been close to 6 – 7 times and each time, I’m rushed and treated extremely rudely. They always start off speaking in Spanish and when I respond that I speak English, I’m given an attitude. I also usually have relatively short orders and am always asked to pull forward and park in the«handicapped spot». Nope, not joking. Dead serious. I’ve had 50/50% decent food here. A lot of it is usually lazily prepared and thrown together. I enjoy the beef fajita tacos.(If you buy 5, you get one free!) because the beef is pretty good when they use it instead of the fat I’m usually left with. The rice and beans come straight from a can. The tortillas are made fresh and are pretty delicious, but I can do that at a home. Don’t bother with the quesadillas or enchiladas. They both taste pretty bad. The last few times I’ve ordered chips, salsa and guacamole, I’ve been extremely displeased as the chips were stale, the salsa was bland and flavorless and the guacamole was a green paste with no tomatoes or onions. The ONLY redeeming quality is that they are close to my home and are the only option available when Potranco is backed up almost to the Walgreens. Nobody wants to sit in traffic for 20 minutes to get a Whataburger. I’m done, Tink-a-Tako, you’ve had too many chances and you’ve failed.

Barbacoa tacos are delish. All meat. No fat. Love their corn tortillas. Dinner plates are decent. Will be back.

I’ve driven past this location for 2 years and finally decided to go in for breakfast with a friend. I’m glad we did! I love their homemade tortillas, and quick and friendly service. I had two breakfast tacos, which were delicious with the red salsa. My friend ordered the chilaquiles and loved it. I’ll definitely be trying their lunch and dinner menu, and driving through for breakfast tacos. As a non-native Texan, I’ll say that these breakfast tacos beat Bill Millers and other local competitors.

This is the worst Tink-a-Tako in San Antonio by far! To start off the service is very poor at this location, I’m pretty sure that the people who work here hate there job. The food is a lot like the service, I couldn’t even recognize the so called«fajitas» i ordered. It looked and tasted more like a crappy microwave dinner that was half way cooked and on the soggy side! I will say that the chips and salsa were very tasty just like any other location. The rice and beans were Ok but the salad wasn’t as fresh as I would have. I have given this particular location 3 chances to prove to me that they know what they’re doing when it comes to good mexican food and yet they have struck out all three times…

We came here instead of eating the overpriced food at Seaworld. I had some good luck with Tink-a-Tako’s breakfast tacos at their San Pedro location and thought I would give them a whirl. I was not all that impressed, unfortunately. I guess my take home is that Tink-a-Tako makes passable breakfast tacos but their other dishes are merely forgettable. Not bad, not good, just passable. Pleasant servers though, which is always a definite plus.

I’ve had breakfast here a couple of times. The service was good, the food was warm — in particular I really like their tortillas. I usually order a bean and cheese taco and a potato and egg taco — the tacos are just okay. I’ve ordered tacos to go as well, and they have been very fast and my order has always been correct. My parents are fans of their barbacoa tacos that they offer on the weekends. The servers and management are very friendly! If you need a fast breakfast at a good price — try Tink-A-Tako.

I love to eat breakfast at this location! I always get the pancake breakfast, so I can’t comment on the other specialties. Pancakes, eggs, beans, tortillas… REALLY good. Bacon, my favorite! Good service, really clean and great prices. ETA, I have used the facilities and they are clean, but a bit old and dated. Deserved or not, gives me the creepy feeling, so I just hold it from now on.

Hair’s to You! «Tink» is one of my favorite places for breakfast tacos… any time of day! In high school, we kids would walk to Tink for tacos before Friday night football. Authentic, filling, fattening! :) Recently I started a new job that’s located next to one of the restaurants locations, and the entire office mass orders. The last time we ordered from #3, and I opened my bean & cheese with bacon taco to find a nice, long, silver hair embedded in my beans! I was super disappointed but I still managed to stopped by the restaurant after work, had my taco replaced, and drove off with a complimentary large homemade lemonade. I appreciate them making wrong right, but it will be a while before I Tink about ordering from that location again!
