This place doesn’t impress, I always see that they go through change in management/ownership all the time. To be honest I actually asked for a manager one time and a lady that identified herself as the owner was the perfect example of why this place goes through so many changes in management. The customer service is lacking. I ordered tacos and showed up 5 minutes past the estimated time and they were still not done. When I told the owner this she gave me a look like she didn’t care and even went beyond that to say she didn’t care for my business. I decided to give it another shot today and I get to the drive through and I’m getting rushed for my order. To finalize my order I get asked if I would like my order in flour or corn tortillas. Before given the chance to answer I get asked to pull forward. Mind you there is no one behind us waiting for such a rush to be imposed. Nevertheless I move forward as requested and I’m thinking they will ask me again. I sit there and by the time several minutes go by I’m almost certain that my order won’t be completed to my wishes. Sure enough when they finally come to the window to change me I ask for my tacos on corn and their response is they are already made and that she the drive through lady didn’t hear a response so she just made them to her own order. Complete disregard for customers is what this place is; how they manage to have a good rating is beyond me.

Your going to get better food than you might expect upon first impression. The staff are quite friendly which is always a plus. If your stuck in Potranco traffic, it is a cool place to enjoy a Jarritos Tamarindo and a taco.

The food and service here is great. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I moved nearby so this is now my new go to Mexican spot. Open for breakfast and lunch.

This is my go to place for a down home Mexican style breakfast. It does not get enough credit because tink a taco is just down the road. I love the huevos rancheros and the menudo is the best I have had in San antonio. I use to live in the valley so I have had some authentic menudo. All the food is fresh to order The tortillas are home made. There is nothing like a fresh home made corn tortilla. It is a little whole in the wall but the people and service is great. A hidden jem.

Great place for breakfast. My wife and I had the huevo a la Mexicana plate(beans, potatoes and eggs with peppers, tomato, & onions for 4.99. The plate also included homemade tortillas. Our daughter had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Bacon was really good and rest was the usual. Being this place is down the road from my brothers I can assure myself I will be returning for breakfast again as the menu has many things I want to try. Service was excellent as our waitress checked on us at least 8 times and my coffee was never more than half empty! My only complaint was the music was little loud.

Our go to breakfast taco place. Good prices, good tacos, clean and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Our only complaint is the sauce. When we first starting coming here it was because we lived the red sauce but, it’s changed over time. Sometimes it’s dark in color, sometimes it’s very hot. Won’t keep us from coming back though cause we like the tacos. Unilocal Star Rating 5 stars: I loved it. Will be back and bring others to try it. 4 stars: I liked it. Will be back and suggest others to give it a try. 3 stars: It was good. Will be back but there was something that wasn’t just right. 2 stars: It was okay. Would return if others wanted to but won’t drive far. 1 star: Will not be returning.

It’s refreshing when you walk into a restaurant and there’s no gimmicks. Mi Hacienda boasts just that. This isn’t a place where you’d take a date to, although you could if you wanted. This is where you go to get some downright amazing fish tacos and leave for friends behind so that they can’t intrude while you indulge. This will be centric around the fish taco, only because I’ve hit this place for the first time today. I will be making multiple trips to specifically go down the list and try it all! There’s really nothing complex about a fish taco. Tortilla, fish, a bit of sauce, a little lettuce then cheese and voila! I’ve never been too keen of the idea about fish tacos. I felt that there was something fundamentally wrong about them. That was until recently. I’m not sure what changed my mind, but when I see fish tacos, I’ve got to have them. This one in particular was fairly simple. The fish was flaky with perfect coating of fried seasoning that wasn’t overwhelming. The lettuce was fresh, topped with tomato, shredded cheese and sour cream. At first bite, you think to yourself, «pretty plain». After your taste buds are immersed and your brain begins to process what exactly is happening, you start to reconsider your first impression and find yourself wanting another bite, but not wanting to rush beyond that very first one! As simply constructed as this particular taco is, it brings a great deal of complexity once the flavors begin to meld. The story quickly changes with every bite you take. The key is the sauce. I don’t know what it is and I don’t care, neither should you. Your main concern is to try it, enjoy, then leave it alone until the next time you have it. Is it the best fish taco out there? I doubt it. What I love is it’s freshness and complexity. Most places I’ve been to would over-charge for such a delectable treat, but of a lesser quality. Mi Hacienda just does it right.
