Worst Chinese food of my life ! Only one staff personnel on duty, the whole time he was on the phone. Ordered a simple lemon chicken plate and the chicken was super dry, and burnt It is safe to say I will not be coming back ! On the bright side no long lines since it was dead inside Rice was borderline okay Egg rolls were good

I didn’t go here for the atmosphere, just a quick lunch. The Chinese food was unlike any, was fresh and cooked to order. The General Tso’s Chicken was the best I’ve had. The chicken was actually white meat breaded and cooked when ordered. This restaurant is a jewel and pleasant change to typical Chinese.

I love this place. FOODISAUTHENTIC. It’d hard finding good moo Goo Gai Pan. And the best part is they are fast. My first mistake in ordering to go was getting home and realizing just how good the egg rolls are they are literally the best I’ve ever had. I’m mad I didn’t find out about it sooner and fyi prices are perfect.

When you get tired of ordering cheeseburgers and mexican food around the Government Hill area, luckily, Simple Chinese is just around the corner. The food is okay, not the best, but it will do. The lady that works at this establishment is always very helpful and quick.

Not best but can’t expect much in this area. I had a phở noodle soup, ouit was ok. The place is not that clean, but didn’t get sick.

Not worth your time! I had the Shrimp with eggplant and fried rice… extremely greasy, salty and I cannot recall ever having yellow fried rice at any Chinese restaurant! What was that about?!

Do I have to give this place a star? This was simply gross. The place stunk. The fork was dirty. I ordered Orange Chicken, and I really don’t know if I could call that chicken. It was lumps of chewy fat coated in orange jelly. And the fried rice? WOW. I literally took two bites, got up and let. DONOTGOHERE! My girl friend wouldn’t even touch her food. It really is THAT bad.

Went for lunch today with coworkers. Definitely a busy spot. Décor and smell needs improvement. The waiting area is a mess. Food was cheap and very fast… but merely tolerable rather than tasty. Not even close to authentic. Flavorless. I’m mostly impressed with the speedy service, and at ~$ 6 for a soup and entrée with rice, it is a very fast meal.

Ugh. Mistake. Flavorless. Thank god I have a steady supply of sriracha and soy sauce in my kitchen at all times. The hunt for awesome beef lo mein and pork fried rice continues…

I will concur with this aptly named restaurant. The place was very clean and service(once you get past the choppy English) very good. We ordered the combo Lo mein and beef curry. The noodles had a lots of meat in type and quantity. The beef curry was the same as any other beef dish but with a little saffron tossed on it for flair. The food was good and definitely filled the hole but as the name implies its simple Chinese not«Overpriced» or «Fantastic Chinese». ”

Medicore Chinese food is something that’s really hard to mess up, not because the bar of mediocrity has been set to lowest of the lowest standards when it comes to delivery, but because you can get away with almost any culinary sin by calling it «Chinese» in the culinary world of today. Well, simple Chinese takes it one step further, and cooks its fried rice using what I can only assume is Mexican rice, or even saffron rice — either way the food was completely devoid of flavor, as if they steamed all the ingredients together and the flavor was drained right out of it. I also ordered the general tso’s chicken from here along with the hot and sour soup — both of which tasted like they could be from one of those costco freezer packs they used to have way back when. Simple Chinese gets an extra star due to the fact that the delivery boy/man drives a bitchin’ black Mercedes-Benz AMG; now let’s just hope they work a little less on delivering in style and work a little harder on getting their food tasting like food instead.

To say that it’s simple here is accurate, yet understated. Came in, not very many people here. Got Mongolian Beef with Wonton Soup. Soup had good flavor, not too thin like some. Beef & Fried Rice came in a good sized portion, very tasty, beef spiced well. Egg Roll left a bit to be desired, nut you rarely get all you want in one place.

Oh hell no, I was forced to come back here when it was decided upon the driver of the vehicle I was in that this is where we were going to eat after a training class. Gross, the food has gone totally to the wind. We took two bites of our food ate our egg rool and left with the majority of the food on our plates…

Simple Chinese is simply… gross. A bunch of co-workers said they’d dined here before and that they had really good food. Yeah, I don’t think so. The fried rice might as well have just been regular white rice because there was no flavor in it at all — I could’ve done more with a cup of rice, a packet of soy sauce and a hot plate. Sesame chicken — same deal — no flavor. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else.

Simple Chinese opened up a few months ago in a space previously occupied by a Mexican restaurant. Since it’s within walking distance of our house we decided to give the takeout a try one lazy weekend evening. The food was good & the prices are cheap. We’ve gotten takeout once more and eaten in the restaurant once, as well. Their sauces tasted a little chemically the first time, but they’ve improved since then. Don’t be surprised to see several cop cars there when visit, since they offer a 50% discount to police.
