National donut day here was a success! Not a long wait inside or at the window. Not very kid friendly. A worker told me to make my kids sit down. He had to go pee so he was on his way to the bathroom. As a member of a mom’s group not sure I will be recommending us to come here to watch them make the donuts.

I was visiting Texas for a BMT graduation and wanted to see what the hype was about. That’s exactly what it is… hype. Mediocre doughnuts. Poor customer service. 3rd star for the microwave they have to heat up cold doughnuts. Would I return??? Definitely not.

I’ve never had a problem at this Shipley. The donuts and kolaches are always served fresh and warm, and they’re never lacking in variety. The hours are convenient, any time for breakfast and well into the afternoon. By comparative standards, I don’t know how you’re supposed to top this as a donut shop, hence five stars! Drive-thru service is fast and great — they have not once mistaken my cherry-filled for a raspberry-filled! And since they’re located at the end of a strip, the drive-thru is easy to access. I definitely could think of other ways they could mess this up, but they never do. So go ahead and add on to that tire around your waist!

Come here every Sunday with my wife and son. Great customer service and delicious choices. Best in the neighborhood.

Any Texan who gets his doughnuts from a chain other than Shipley’s should be charged with treason. I can’t get enough of the pink frosted ones, and their cinnamon rolls are the best around. This location opens up at 5AM, making it very convenient to grab a dozen on the way in to work. They always have a good selection, and it smells so good when you walk inside the store. Shipley’s FTW!

Anyone who says, «I can get these at HEB» are under the age of 20 physically or mentally. Shipley’s are a Texas LEGEND, and the very best you can get. I agree with the reviewer that says, «Krispy WHO?»!

Wowza these are some good donuts! I got a cherry filled donut, and my girlfriend got an apple fritter. Mine was good, but hers was GREAT. It was like a handheld apple pie. This place is definitely worth visiting again. The only con I can think of is the $ 5 minimum for credit transactions – but this isn’t really a horrible thing.

While eating at a neighboring restaurant, my daughter had an epic meltdown(over a meatball — don’t ask). I took her outside to complete her screaming fit and she ran down to the end of the strip and threw herself on the ground. The nice lady working at Shipley came out and offered her a pink-glazed doughnut with sprinkles. The screaming subsided. I love this Shipley for making my daughter happy and saving my eardrums and nerves.

Typical donut shop. They offer a nice variety at a decent price. The kolaches are good too. No gourmet foo foo coffee stuff here. Oh, FYI, I personally find these donuts VERY sweet. My favorite is the blueberry cake donut. Yum.

kolaches here are not a strong point, I always get weak mixes of assorted at this location. I’ll specify what I want, clearly, and get the typical drivethrough results.

Yummy Donuts… I try and get my team something great to eat on a Friday morning that will make them happy. This is one of my favorite stops. They have a drive thru that is super fast and super friendly staff.

After seeing donuts from here at work I thought it would have some more selection at the store but i was kinda disappointed. The donuts were good but i could probably get the same variety at HEB. I do like the drive thru window that they have on the side of the building and the fact that they give your a military discount for 10%. It might have been the time of day too we went in the afternoon so maybe a weekday morning they’ll have some of the ones we want.

Doughnuts are light and have a soft texture inside and a bit of a crisp outside. Every glaze we’ve tried we love: chocolate, orange, cherry. Everytime we’ve gone the doughnuts are fresh. My complaint is that we never get the doughnuts we ordered. I’ve seen the worker write down the order, but it’s never right. My son will eat them anyway, but it’s one of those things where you’re expecting the order to be correct. Other than that doughnuts are great.

OooOohh Dough-Nuts… I love’em and Shipley’s makes some really good ones. My favorite are the crème filled, they ROCK, but they are gut busters, but you still have to try them. Also, their Koloches are AWESOME, especially the jalapeño, cheese, and sausage ones!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Shipley’s, your stomach will thank you and your fitness trainer will hate you, but not because you eat there, but since you didn’t save him anything. HA-HA-HA!!!
