Service sucks. We had a big group of military personnel and their families but not an excuse for having to wait over 3 hours for your food. Definitely not coming back or recommending to anyone

Terrific service, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Hot, tasty and well presented. We will be back for more.

Plain, flavorless Mexican fair with a touch of sassy rudeness from the wait staff. The fajitas were plain and the salsa was served warm and without taste. Not worth your time, or your money. Just go to Chuy’s so that you can enjoy your meal with attentive staff.

Such a disappointment! We went for my friend’s birthday. There is a cool patio area with a play structure for kids, so we thought everyone could be happy. The wait staff was not very friendly and far from responsive. My meal came out 20 minutes after the rest of my party’s. There was a vague apology about the kitchen burning it the first time. Most restaurants would have comped or at least discounted the meal, so I was surprised to find the entire price on my bill. And to top it off, it was mediocre at best. Never. Going. Back.

Awful! First, the waitress didn’t bring silverware for 10 mins and our food was sitting in front of us! Then the ladies rr was a disaster, no soap, no paper towels, no toilet paper! Then we were waiting for our check for 20 mins! I go to tell the manager and he said ok, no apology, just ok! Really! It’s 3:00 pm on a Saturday and your service sucks! The food wasn’t even great, so avoid this place!

Went for lunch. Ordered green chicken enchiladas. Was yummy. However, I was still hungry after eating. Portion size was not big enough.

Always more than satisfied with Pericos. Great food, in house made tortillas and excellent customer service.

Decided to go back after awhile and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The service was terrible, took forever to be acknowledged and refills took around 10 minutes, and God forbid you want butter, that’s not gonna happen. The food wasn’t fresh and was way smaller portions than expected for the price. Overall if you want to be ignored and be served below average food, this is the place for you.

We had reservations for 25 at 5pm on a Sunday. Most of us were there on time. We were sitting at the table at 5:45 and still hadn’t received waters. Finally around 6 we placed our order. Grandmas food didn’t come out with everyone else’s we had to ask for it. My mother in law went to complain to the sad excuse of a manager. He said he would«be right on it» but never came by our table to check on us. Our server didn’t have enough experience to wait on us. He forgot drinks etc. We were sitting outside by the playground which had a lingering smell of natural gas the entire time. We will never be back! I also want to add that the restrooms were absolutely disgusting! The first stall I went into didn’t have toilet paper and there was paper all over the floor in various places. The restroom obviously hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Completely ridiculous considering they weren’t that busy!

The staff are polite and are very helpful. They have a outdoor play set for kids, but the slide looks like it’s about to crack, that can be a problem when someone eventually gets hurt by sliding down and it breaks. The food is good, However they don’t have much to offer on the kids menu. Who wants to order kids sliders at a Mexican restaurant? In all the play set is great for entertaining kids, and their salsa is incredible! Its almost always crowded because of their outdoor patio. I think it’s a great place to hang out with friends because I come here all the time.

So I got a $ 9.00 perfecto margarita that apparently comes with 4 gnats in it. But don’t worry they take a few out when you send it back. Apparently 3rd times a charm because I finally got a drink with no gnats. Also, you can order the same drink every time you come and it taste different every time. Sometimes awesome, sometimes like dirty socks. But hey life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get! On the other hand the food is very good. But the service sucks in the morning. One waitress, seven tables… A tired nurse will pretty much eat anything & drink anything alcoholic.

My cousin from Florida wanted to try some San Antonio Mexican food, so I took her here. It’s not the delicious dives from the Southside(which admittedly are my weakness) but for Stone Oak it’s pretty darn good. Let’s start with the salsa. Dark and laced with cumin, it’s not spicy but it’s got a lot of flavor. Tortillas(flour and corn) are thick and homemade. Breakfast tacos rival the best, fajita tacos keep it simple and satiswith sautéed onion and peppers. Enchiladas are bomb, and I love their tortilla soup. They have this appetizer(I can’t recall what it’s called) but it’s two beef empanadas, chicken quesadillas, and baby taquitos with queso. I’ll come here and order this with my cousin for margs and a glorious little Tex-mex indulgence. It’s a perfect split for two girls if you’re also having drinks(all the fat+carbs=We can tolerate the strong beverages). The service is reliably good and they appear to take good care of their employees(they closed down for ‘employee appreciation party’). Having worked in restaurants, I appreciate the effort to acknowledge workers who don’t get much vacation and work long shifts on their feet. As far as Stone Oak is concerned, this place is up there for Mexican. Not the best in the city, but certianly a great business in Sonterra.

This is the first time I went here to eat. Waited a couple minutes to get seated it was just me and my dad. We got a booth and got our drink orders. Then after 10 minutes we ordered I got the chicken gorditas with rice and beans and guacamole. The gorditas come with 2 and a good helping of rice and beans. The waiter was helpful. And the restrooms r very clean. I’m coming back to try the empanadas.

This place is close to my work, so I’ve ended up going here a decent amount. And the food is OK, but it’s just not something I’d go out of my way to eat. The breakfast tacos are cheap, but extremely simple. If you get a bacon and egg taco, you’re getting literally nothing more than bacon and egg in your taco. The lunch/dinner stuff is okay. I like their Tacos Ricos better than anything else I’ve had here, so I’d recommend that. I just want the place to be better, in all honesty. I want there to be something on the menu that makes me exclaim, «You have to try this!», but I haven’t found it, and I don’t think it exists here.

I went in for breakfast and the service was great. The server was very attentive which is always a good thing. I didn’t think the food was very good. It was average which is why I gave it three stars. There wasn’t too much flavor in the food, it tasted processed. With all that said the atmosphere was good so I would probably go back for happy hour but not for quality food.

When we walked in there was a sign to «seat yourself» and we did as instructed. A waiter came over and took drink orders in the time it took me to place my stuff down and go wash my hands. The salsa was the perfect blend of spices yet still flavorful without being over powerful. I ordered the beef enchiladas with queso, refried beans and rice for my entrée. I wish there was more queso on the beef enchiladas but everything else was okay. To conclude the meal I had the fried ice cream and boy that thing should come with a warning! The person I was out to lunch with also ordered a dessert(sopapillas) and to sum it up, all the desserts are enough to split between two or more people easily. It was my first time trying fried ice cream and if you’re going to attempt to eat one by yourself, the good news is there’s a hospital right next door with all the insulin you could possibly need! The server didn’t highlight(and we didn’t notice) the lunch specials on the back of the menu until we were ordering desserts so for two people’s «lunch» with dessert it was over $ 40 which is a pricey lunch! The tortillas were also very dry and lacked flavor. They should consider serving them with lite butter.

Restaraunt and waitress seemed to both be having an off night — I’d really rate our overall experience tonight at 2 ½ :( been to perico’s numerous times, food and service is usually above average, but both were not up to scratch tonight. our family was treating both grandmas to a night out to celebrate a late grandparents day. 7:30 on a Friday night so restaurant was crowded — 15 to 20 minute wait for seating for 6. Apologetic waitress arrived about 5 or so minutes later for drink order and did offer to take food orders if we were ready. But she started to leave, neglecting to get my hubbie’s drink order. Drinks arrived after a short wait, minus bar drinks and 1 water — all of which was promised to be right out — but none of which was. 1 bar drink, a virgin daiquiri arrived after a LONG delay. with food order, clearly harried waitress started to dash off before getting my sons food order. We had placed an order for 2 empanada apps with drink order, but after a long wait — still had not arrived. Snagged waitress and she said out food would be right out. We said forget the apps then if our food was on the way and waitress replied«ok, I won’t put the order for them in»! WHAT??? We had placed the order for the with the drinks, about 30 minutes prior :(. Which lead me to wonder if ANY of our order had been placed or if just the empanadas had been forgotten. food started arriving — everything but a fajita order, although partial sides and tortillas came. But no one could eat as silverware, which was asked for with drink order, had never arrived. long wait for fajitas AND missing silverware resulted in cooling plates and sides — one plate was quickly replaced when requested of apologetic manager when called over by frazzled waitress who explained in front of all that there had been NO clean silverware to bring! Loose knives, forks, and napkins were passed out and waitress dashed off again — missing my son’s request for a napkin — she forgot him again! He’s 13, not a child BTW. SO… — margaritas — frozen and on rocks deemed good by grandmas. — chips and salsa — good — puffy tacos, tortilla soup and quesadilla were all tasty said party — chicken fajitas were a little dry — a bit over cooked, but plentiful on the plate for 2 and very flavorful. — corn tortillas, very good — not thin store bought, but not too thick either. — flour tortillas — inedible — tasted reheated and old — very hard — taco salad with chicken — son declared the chicken AWESOME and it was. Same filling as for chicken puffys. BUT, they had neglected to drain chicken before adding it to the taco bowl, resulting in an unappetising watery LAKE on the bottom of the plate and a bowl with soggy bottom. several other small problems and missteps really detracted from enjoyment of the meal. I don’t think all the fault lied with the waitress, I think there were some behind the scenes problems. We would have reported problems to the manager IF he had stopped back by to check on us. He seemed a bit overwhelmed as well trying to put out fires at other tables and get food out. I’m hoping whatever problems they have get resolved. I think we will be a little hesitant to return until some good reviews are posted! found a post with health score of 30 demerits for perico’s from 6⁄24 — 1 short of FAILING! Very surprising! Last score on 9÷15÷2015 had 0 demerits — so that’s good :)

I bought food yesterday. As I was about to start on my 2nd taco, I found a med-length black hair in it. not very appetizing. If it wasn’t for the hair, the tacos that was custom –made would’ve been excellent. And the one who took my order was nice, got my order ready in a jiffy.
