Called this place to order delivery and their number is not in service. I dialed the other number on their website and it was to another business. I’m thinking they’re closed too as in the previous comments.

This place is closed with no signs whatsoever. A waiter in the nearby restaurant says they are closed for a while already, perhaps for remodeling. Don’t bother coming here.

Wow! This place is awesome! It’s still a secret right now so the service was spectacular! Any cut of the salmon is great! We tried 8 different rolls and all of them were world class rolls! My fav was the stone oak roll!!! We will be back for sure!

I am always the first of my friends to show up to dinner so I hit the bar. I was a little confused, usually the bar is an extension of the restaurant but this at not. It wasn’t even 9pm and it was a full blown night club with tacky bottle service and fog machines. After asking about a wine my frantic uneducated bartender gave me a sample. It had definitely turned and I told him that only to watch him put it back on the shelf. Gross. I ordered a Grand Marnier on the rocks. I’ve been in this industry for a long time and cringed as I watched him put the ice in the glass first and without measuring the liquor gave me more than a double. As a guest its a positive but for the owners its a loss of revenue and a serious TABC violation to serve more than two ounces at a time, not to mention all the more serious ramifications of over serving Thankfully my friends arrived and we were seated. I quickly noticed there seemed to be an all male wait staff, I could tell because everyone one of them was hanging out around the service bar, about ten men, and joking/laughing. Finally our server arrived and without introduction gave us waters and asked if we were ready to order… I was confused. We had definitely been sitting long enough to order but I like a cocktail with my meal. The calamari was by far my biggest regret. Wow. It was some of the worst I have ever had. Cold and chewy but we were starving. Drinks came after the appetizer, my gin martini was fine but a friend ordered a cucumber martini and it was horrid. Expensive cocktails call for top shelf liquor, this was definitely made with well. Our rolls were good but our server kept asking us if we wanted the check. This has happened before but never so rude. I was embarrassed for him because he asked so many times and honestly we were going to share a dessert but the whole situation was uncomfortable. We closed out and went to Cops Wine Bar for dessert and drinks. Its sad really, we spent Almost $ 100 at Copa and that could have been at O-shi. Never again.

Service was top notch! Sushi and Sashimi was fresh and delicious. Very nice ambiance for a nice dinner date and apparently a club attached. I’m not sure what it would be like eating there after 9 but I imagine it would be like eating at a rave. So, if you go around 7, you should be good. Otherwise, you might want to bring your glow sticks.

I really do believe that this place has potential. The set up is nice and the interior is as well, but the servers, even though sweet, could be a little more professional. I think that would really bring this place up a level. Their happy hour isn’t too shabby and they have specialties one smaller rolls during that time. The reason why I gave it four stars however was the«Sonterra Roll» So far I have yet to eat a roll that compares to how yummy this one was made. The honey wasabi is perfect and an overall flavorful roll for me

Service: Poor we were rushed through the whole dinner and the server took my plate while I was still eating. I was never offered to order a drink and was just brought water. Ambiance: It was nice, but nothing to write home about. Food: The goyza appetizer was ok, the flavors were there, but it tasted like it was frozen. Unagi was excellent, however, you can get this anywhere. We ordered two sushi rolls: Tuscany Roll and Nancy Roll. Don’t get me wrong we are no babies when it comes to spicy foods, but these were inedible. Normally we eat about three rolls(between the two of us) and still try to stuff more. But we couldn’t even stomach these two rolls. When I Googled LIR sauce the words sweet and spicy were prominent. This sauce here was straight up hell in our mouths. We decided to cool our palettes with some mochi… which we eat often and loooove. However, the mochi served was gross. I pealed the plastic tasting coating off the ice cream and ate the ice cream alone. I am used to a soft powdery rice dough covering the ice cream and here we got hard plastic shell. Yuck. Will not be coming back here.

Great food but poor service. Good and fresh and presented well. Waited 10 minutes for someone and I finally had to ask who was waiting our table. When we did get our order the food was very good.

We have gone to Oshi several times and every time it is just as good as the last time! The Stone Oak roll is my favorite but they have an excellent variety of choices. The Miso Soup was also excellent. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu items and suggested some of his favorites as well which we took in consideration. Service was excellent. Will definitely come back often to try new rolls and the other menu choices.

Ok. First off, my apologies for being a bit late to the party. I didn’t realize Oshi had generated quite the buzz already. So good taste and decorum requires me to offer a gift to my host. Here it is Unilocalers… Oshi has the best margaritas in SA! I know… a sushi restaurant… go figure. And the sushi? Superb. As good as anything I’ve had in Japan, Hawaii, or California. And my favorite offering of all? The calamari! Superb! And by the way… prices are bit less than that other sushi place found all over SA.

Great service, great rolls, yakimeshi is just good, but everything else is fantastic. Being inside a much larger restaurant/club(Grand Agave) it’s a little weird, so I dont like to come here late, to avoid the loud sound and crowd from the club.

Thanks to my fellow Unilocalers for the recommendation for O-shi Sushi. I was looking for a new sushi joint close to church and glad we tried this one. Our waitress was Dafre and she was very helpful with sushi roll choices and provide great service. Miso soup was very good. We had the Sonterra Roll, Tuscany Roll, LIR Roll, and Spicy Tuna Roll. They were all very good and the fish was plentiful and fresh tasting.

There is not a lot of variation between restaurants that serve good sushi, but I can’t wait to come back here! The service was good. Our server was very knowledgeable about the different rolls. I had something that I have never tasted in a roll before, lemon! I am pretty sure it was the Sonterra Roll. It has escolar on the top and fresh lemon flavor that needs to be eaten without any dipping sauce. It is my new favorite!

An EXCEPTIONAL restaurant. Small, dimly lit, cozy, and refreshing. A great departure from the large bustling restaurants that abound in San Antonio. On top of that, add authentic and professionally cooked delights just like you would find in the Far East. I recommend this restaurant as highly as I ever rate a restaurant. Do not miss this experience. The staff is helpful and inviting to everyone.

This hidden gem is amazing. I’ve purchased 2 groupons and keep wanting to go back. Their menu is unlike any other. I’ve had the paradise roll which is fiery but amazing and features plantains. Also and paired well with the Hawaii roll, which has kiwi and strawberry, the hot and sweet pair together perfectly. You can’t find this culinary design anywhere else. The décor throws me off a bit, as the restaurant seems huge, but the Japanese accents fall into place well. The service is always great and I will go back and I recommend O-shi to everyone. I just hope it survives as it is surrounded by great restaurants. This sushi defiantly isn’t your sushi zushi garbage down the road. This food is art that belongs on your palatte.

I’m honestly shocked with all the good sushi restaurants opening in the Stone Oak area. The selection of good sushi in San Antonio has been very limited for years. I really enjoyed my lunch at O-shi. We got the calamari appetizer which was freshly fried with a yummy plum like sauce. Then I got the chirashi bowl which is basically a variety of sashimi piled on top a bed of sushi rice. It was delicious and piled high. The fish was very fresh and freshness is absolute key when it comes to sushi. Not only was the food delicious but the service was awesome! We’ll definitely be back soon! Oh and apparently they open as a night club on Fridays and Saturdays. Looks pretty cool, might need to check it out.

Sushi was good and definitely cheaper than sushi zushi for comparable product. Service by Ricardo was not great, although he checked on us frequently, we mentioned it was our anniversary and he said ‘okay’ and after we used our Groupon he dropped off the paid tab without so much as a ‘thanks, have a good night’. In any case, we will go back for a moderately priced sushi dinner that was fresh and tasty with decent variety and intrigue. One other item to mention is the random club music playing overhead, takes a bit away from the ambiance in my opinion, but maybe I’m just too old for that on a Wednesday. Enjoy!

Despite the name failure, this place is producing some pretty darn good Japanese food. I base my opinion on having lived in Japan for nearly a decade AND the opinion of my Japanese wife. The first dish I ate here was their kutsu curry. While the pork was a tad thin it was of adequate size. The curry is just a simple, smooth curry that tasted very similar to CoCo Ichiban curry. The presentation is different but the taste was quite authentic. My wife has gotten the churashi zushi every time we’ve gone in and she loves it. The price is $ 14 but it’s adequate for what you get. They tend to load too much rice in the bottom which pushes the sashimi up and out of the bowl and making it visually more appealing. All the usual suspects are there from salmon, to tuna, to unagi, and ikura. The tempura shrimp are of good size but the method of presentation makes the bottom portion moist. The taste is quite good with a nice crunch(besides the bottom part in contact with the paper/plate). The gyoza themselves aren’t spectacular and really taste like they purchased them from Minna-no Mart. The gyoza sauce is quite nice as it seems to be accented by fresh ginger. Oh, the yakimeshi(fried rice) is great! I got the combo yakimeshi and both both me and my wife loved it. It’s a rather smallish portion so it definitely isn’t a main entrée. The rolls are typical of what you can get at any American sushi restaurant. I won’t say that they’re spectacular in any way but that doesn’t mean they’re bad, either. The restaurant itself is dimply lit so lots of mood lighting. It would make a nice date place. As I mentioned in the beginning, the name is a total failure. I am almost sure they meant to name their place«O-ishi» which means delicious in Japanese. However, «O-shi» means«almost» or «nearly» as if you were shooting the game-winning shot at the buzzer only to have the basketball swirl around the rim and roll out. I guess they’ve invested too much in their signage to change things now. In all, this is a very respectable Japanese restaurant. The restaurant itself is visually appealing and the food is fairly authentic. The menu is not very extensive but what they go have if pretty close to real. It’s worth the drive to Stone Oak if you’re looking for some good Japanese. They also have a Happy Hour but the menu is quite limited.

Fish was fresh and service was great. The decoration is also pretty modern and clean, and the music is chill. I tried the tuna poki and salmon nigiris and they were flavourful and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the stone oak area.
