For the record this restaurant blew my mind! I ordered breakfast tacos through the drive thru and the red salsa was amazingly fresh. The flavors were a party in my mouth. One taco was the bean and cheese and bacon, the other was carna guesada and cheese. They were nice in size and fresh. The bacon was pretty big and crispy. The refried beans they put was not over done. Cheese was nice and fresh. Over all, that taco with the red sauce was hands down awesome! Second taco was the carna guesada I couldn’t find anything to complain about it. Just really good food. I was a little skeptical on going, seeing the reviews on the price and some mistakes they did. Hello people, can we write about the food more than complain about forgetting about napkins and fork? Now the reason we go to a restaurant is the food, so we all want to hear about how great the food really is or not. All I can say is you get what you pay for and the tacos were awesome and a little bigger than the normal size ones you usually get at Mexican restaurants. I think it was $ 5 and change for the two tacos and came with napkins, salt, pepper and the red sauce. I really think I found my go to place for breakfast tacos. Thanks Mia’s Mexican grill!!!

They could have hit 5 stars, but I don’t give them out that frequently. You read my posts, you know one thing. SERVICE. (the food kept them at 4 stars) We were welcomed in, and sat quickly. We were on our way back to Dallas. My wife wanted something original in SA, the old restaurants I knew were on other side of town, so we tried this place. After about 15 minutes, I got up to ask the hostess if we could have some service. No one had come by. In the meantime 2 other tables got sat before us and had their meals on the way. It was worth the wait, the country guisada tacos took me back to when Ta Casita was still around and competing against Taco Cabana in San Antonio. Man, that taco was awesome.(folks, I don’t use that word often) The tortillas were great, just like grandma’s. The chorizo and egg was average and the barbacoa was good also. Little one’s enjoyed the rice and beans and ate it all, that says alot for my girls. Great place, be patient and hopefully the waiter will spend more time with you rather than the ladies. We will be back.

I decided I would stop for breakfast. Let me start with the service & food. Service was fast & the food was fine. But paying $ 2.39 for coffee is way over priced. I ordered the coffee before I opened the menu. I ordered bean & cheese and a chorizo & egg tacos. Price is a little higher compared to other nearby restaurants. Now here is the reason for only 2 stars. The bill was $ 6.38. I paid with 2 $ 5 bills. $ 10.00 — $ 6.38 = $ 3.62. I was given $ 3.32 in change. They even had a print out that stated the change should be $ 3.62. Don’t know if they thought maybe this old man wouldn’t notice or if they are that bad at math. Well l still left $ 1 + the change for the tip. Anyway, if you go, count your change.

Been here twice and both times my order was either rang up incorrect(over charged) or was missing something. They don’t offer hot sauce like most mexican drive thru restaurants. The drive thru time is a little long but nothing too ridiculous. The cashiers don’t seem to know the menu well but are polite. Other than ALL of that, the food is actually really good and fresh. Even when I was given the wrong thing, I wasn’t too mad because what I got was great. The restaurant looks pretty clean from what I could see. All in all, it’s hit or miss but I would give them another try.

Mia’s makes an amazing menudo that my husband and I are crazy about. Their machaquiles are the bomb too. Their corn tortillas are the best I have ever had and I have had a lot of corn tortillas. Rosa is the most wonderful and attentive server I have had in a long time and will be looking for her every time I visit. It is also pretty awesome that they have military discount to honor the military members. All around a great dining experience.

I go here at least 2 times a week. The daily specials are great and for a great price. Chips are crisp and salsa is perfection. I recommend purchasing the travel cups for the .99 refills!

Love the breakfast tacos, take your pick. Really busy on a weekend morning and I totally understand why. Service is efficient and refills are plenty. Did drive-thru once, but the almost $ 2 extra sour cream scared us off. Seriously, $ 2 for a tiny bit of sour cream? I could have bought a whole container at the store.

Best Mexican food in town, and I’m Mexican :) Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is positively excellent! Try the caldo de res, or fideo loco, they will blow your mind!!!

Best Mexican food in SA. Great service. You have to get the Victoria beer with the lime salt. The owners are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Ordered drive thru, obviously to go. Had to have a quick lunch, had to eat in the car, and guess what no fork, no napkin, and nothing. To top it off i paid almost 2 dollars for extra sour cream, and nope no damn sour cream. I would of gone back but didnt have the time to go back. So i sat in my car and ate like a 2 year old with my hands, beans and rice, imagine that, but i was starving, and then since i had no napkins either, guess what had to lick my fingers… wooo hoo… not …probably wont be back, flautas were not bad actually but… beans were meh… if i ever go back, ill just check the bag before i drive off, problem fixed i guess

I really like Mia’s. The food is good and I like the atmosphere. We eat here at least once a week. I enjoy the tortilla soup, the breakfast tacos and even the pancakes. There is nothing I haven’t tried that I don’t like. My only compliant would be the staff drinking while in the work attire still. It seems they are off their shift and some sit down to have a cold one. I’m all for that. But it does look unprofessional.

Went for the first time today. I did not experience rude or slow waitstaff. Everyone was polite and the wait was minimal. Tried the tacos and cilantro cream enchiladas. Both were very good.

Love this place. Best chorizo and bean tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. Large portions as well. Have only been here for breakfast. But all my experiences have been great.

Food was bland. Found a hair in my tea and the my waitress was very slow. She took forever to check on us. Had to ask another waiter for our check because she was no where to be found.

I eat here all the time. Love the tortilla soup! Lunch specials are always good and service is always very good. The Barbacoa is actually too lean for my taste. But the pastor is fantastic

Mia’s took over the Las Palapas location that I so frequently visited in high school. I wasn’t sure how to feel about this until I ordered breakfast tacos from here. They are amazing AND they offer them ALL day! Day or night– doesn’t matter! With their sit down or drive thru options, you can order full menu! It’s funny how the food is good no matter if you are sitting down to eat or grabbing it to go! If you are sitting down to eat, complimentary chips and salsa are the bomb. Service is quick and the wait is never more than a few minutes, which is weird since it seems like there are always people inside! Enjoy!

Love the food! It’s almost exactly like Las palapas. But the service during lunch time is absolutely horrible. They act like it’s a bother to serve you. They should probably get other jobs if they dislike this one so much. I continue coming here because it’s convenient and the food is good. I loathe the wait staff though. Would not recommend for tourists because the staff would leave a bad taste in their mouths with lack of hospitality.

One of the better cheap Mexican food places we have found in SA. The mole is to die for and they always a great drink specials. The margaritas are so cold that there is ice on you straw when you finish.

After all of my praise of this place, I had a bad experience. It wasn’t the quality of food, which is excellent, but rather, had much to do with the drive thru. The drive thru here is one of the slowest, if not THE slowest, drive thru you’ll experience. I’ve been through the drive thru multiple times, and it always takes far too long(10−15mins.). Additionally, today I ordered a small side of rice and beans for my 3yr old, and they charged me $ 2.99 for a 3oz. container of charro beans and $ 2.25 for the same size container of rice. I felt robbed! By all means, go eat there, as the quality of food is great. Just try to dine in, and if you order rice and beans, do so as part of a plate(ex: carne guisada plate). It’s a much better value.
