I can’t find the page for LaFonda Mexican Restaurant at this same property location so I’ll post here on the Food Trailer page(even though, sadly, the trailer is currently for sale.) The actual restaurant(behind the trailer) facing Woodlake just one block outside Loop 410 on Fredericksburg Rd, sits directly across the street from my new office inside«Mind Body & Soul.» It is soooooo tempting to eat their every day. I alternate between Dimassi’s and LaFonda’s on a regular basis. As a Natural Health Practitioner I enjoy taking my clients to LaFonda’s to teach them how to eat healthy. Some people immediately tell me that is impossible at a Mexican Restaurant, but that is where the fun begins. LaFonda’s makes it VERY easy. I’m thinking of hosting a huge dinner there in their meeting/conference room to teach groups how to do just that. Example: I am a Vegan with dairy and gluten allergies. My favorite is their California Fish Tacos on 100% corn tortillas. I simply ask them to leave the fish off, but ask them to charge me for a side of Guacamole Dip(yes, I’m capitalizing Guacamole Dip because it deserves a proper name spelling because ITISTHEBEST!!!) I place the avocado wonderfulness inside the taco in place of the fish. HOWEVER, I have to eat ½ of the taco coleslaw and nummyness first because the taco is sooooo stuffed I cannot pick it up, let alone bite it. LOL(it’s a tough problem to graciously deal with :0) Also, I substitute the rice for GRILLED Zucchini that has the flavor from the grill with the texture and cutting pleasure of eating a steak! It is NEVER overcooked. Their side salads are also perfect in size. Because I like to teach my clients to not drink water with their meals, we often order VIRGIN Bloody Mary’s to savor tomato juice with our meal. I must comment on the staff! They are all wonderful there. My absolute FAVORITE is Rosie! Rosie is a dear woman who has worked there for over 30YEARS!!! She is absolutely precious and takes excellent care of me and my guests. If she is not there, I ask for Rosa.(I bonded with both of them before learning how similar our names are. Thank you ladies!!! Thank you, LaFonda, for being deliciously wonderful!!!

Love this place. Awesome people. Great food. They love what they do and it shows. The«Sign man» is the best. not your run of the mill San Antonio sign spinner. Love the street tacos and the fresh squeezed juice.

I got breakfast here and it was good 3 stars good. I’ve had way better but it hit the spot. The service was great and the 2 running the truck were nice.

I was driving down the street when I saw a guy shaking his Taco… no, really, a huge Taco! I figured I would swing around and give it a try. Glad I did! I had a breakfast bacon and egg taco which was pure awesomeness and then got a fish taco that falls into the seriously yummy category. Staff was very friendly and awesome. Though I don’t live around the area where the truck is, I’ll make an effort to come back!

Old family recipes and passionate staff yields amazing tacos from this truck. Tacos are made to order, and they even take call-in to-go orders, so no matter how much time you have, you’ll get them fresh. Chilequiles tacos were amazing!

My friend and I tried the tilapia fish tacos from the La Fondita with whatever topping contains the guacamole. The tacos were very good and had good flavors, including sour apple! The chips and sauce that came on the side with our fish tacos is the reason that my review is not a 5. This place is worth trying. Skip the chips and dip. Enjoy!

Have stopped here several times on my wasy to work now, and find the tacos consistently excellent! Usually order chorizo and egg, which is notably free of all the grease uausally found in chorizo tacos. Filling is generous with plenty of meat and tortillas fresh an tasty and just the right thickness… not super thick nor paper thin. The std green sauce packed with it is too spicy for me, but I ask for the red salsa. Both are very fresh. Very friendly curbside service(they come running out when you pull up) means I don’t have to get out of my car, and if you call ahead its ready when you get there. Definitely my new go-to breakfast taco place!
