My friends and I stumbled in here on a Friday night. The place was pretty dead! The bathrooms were dark and there were no paper towels. The dj was good– he played our requests. The drinks were okay and were reasonably priced. There was nothing special about La Bikina Corporation. The interior could use some updating. I also like going to bars with people in them. I was surprised that my friends and I were the only occupants(aside from the workers) in the whole place.

La Bikina is a very laid back and fun lounge style bar/club it’s everything in one. You have to appreciate the live spanish music there on Thursdays and Sundays considering they have a great live band(norteno: «La Cima»). I’d recommend it to anyone, there’s always good ambience, great music, and friendly people.

Literally stumbled in here on a walk home, actually the flashing lights beckoned me as well as the light bass thumps permeating from the brick building. Slightly intoxicated by the faint beats, my date and I braved our way across the streets and into La Bikina. We were waved in with a smirk by the door guy, it was about 45 minutes to closing time and the place was filled to the gills with well dressed Mexican nationals. I felt way under dressed, as I went in on a whim and had been painting my house all day. But the dj, well let me just say techno-cumbia! Techno-cumbia or cumbia-techno, what ever you want to call it and conjunto music that’s been mixed, chopped, screwed and spliced with several other genres is the best music in the world when the drinking has enabled your ability to dance. When feeling restless at The Mix, Limelight, Web House, Lava Lounge, or Joey’s, head over here for a quick dance break with beautiful looking people. If the dj is as good as mine was, you’ll have one hell of a good time.
