As far as affordable Mexican breakfasts go, this is top notch. It’s hardy food at a really good price. The Ranchero potatoes are probably the star. The staff are super friendly as well.

Delicious! My husband and I went there for the first time this past Saturday which was recommended by his friend who frequents here often. We came early for breakfast and they were busy but the wait wasn’t bad at all and even if we did have to wait a little longer it was well worth it. Food was piping hot, had great flavor as well. I ordered the chorizo with egg breakfast and it was delicious, it wasn’t too greasy like at other restaurants, their tortillas were handmade and fresh I wanted to go back there for lunch and dinner. This will definitely be our go to spot when we come back to San Antonio!

Great breakfast tacos. Always very busy for breakfast. The staff is friendly. Some times there are mariachi playing. Wish they were still open on Sunday.

Carne Guisada goes hard in the paint! Out of the way from the norm of Downtown but it’s worth every penny spent. check it out 410 and Southside.

Great Mexican food. Reasonably priced. Lunch specials Monday through Friday. Love the bean and cheese nachos with fajita meat and guacamole on top. Tortillas are homemade and so good.

Three of us met there at lunch, they stopped using the side room for a short time, so the only table was next to the kitchen – literally on the exit path of the open kitchen door. After 10 minutes they re-opened the side room, but did not move us from the kitchen path. It was loud and distracting. The food was just OK, the service was just OK, then they started mopping next to our table with a very strong pine odor chemical, so we had to stop eating. Because of the lousy seating and OK service, my husband left only a 16% tip. However on checking our credit card statement, we found they increased the tip to over 20%. We found them uncaring and dishonest. Will not be going back there, and cannot recommend this place

Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone but this is the best Mexican food in SA. The owner is hand’s on, hard working. I love the chiles rellenos and the corn tortillas are old school. The Aztecs might make a comeback if the raza keeps eating these delicacies. Don’t bother with the menudo; it’s a letdown. For that go another block south to Alamo molino.

Enchiladas Verdes and bean and cheese chalupas are my favorites. I’ve been a Judy’s customer for over 20 years. I hadn’t tried their puffy tacos until recently. They are amazing!

The place is always packed during lunch hour, the flour tortillas are the best, but lately the customer service is not good, they make you wait for almost 50 minutes to finally serve you, I understand in busy days, but today was not to busy and they took 50 minutes to serve 2 crispy tacos and a special of enchiladas. =( Also, the waitres dropped the bill on the floor, she picked it up and… SHEPUTITONOURTABLE! I couldn’t belive my eyes!!! wow! we were already upset for the waiting and then that … I won’t ever go back, they don’t seem to care about the customer time frame for lunch… that’s sad.

Great food, great portions! Both breakfast and Lunch are amazing. Home-style Tex Mex food done just like your grandma’s. Well if you are lucky enough to have a grandma who can cook up some great Tex Mex! Everything from their breakfast tacos to the lunch plates is filling and appetizing. Their sweet tea is sweetened to perfection. The only problem you have is trying to get a seat in this place on weekend mornings. Over the years they have expanded but can still go further. So go early or expect a short wait.
