Habachi Buffet

Solid buffet, good selection, tasty. Tip, go during peak lunch or dinner service as the food is better. Went there for an early lunch once when slower and it wasn’t as tasty. Usually good otherwise.

Good food. Not greasy. Sushi better than average for a Chinese buffet. Roomy and quiet atmosphere. Easy off and back on the interstate. Next time in San Antonio, gonna stop by. …you should too

The worst food I ever had it was loaded with msgs I throw up ugh don’t go there if you can’t handle MSGs the egg rolls dry like a day old I orderd to pick up I asked them to make fresh because I can’t handle MSGs yes yes what ever it poison me

A good, solid Chinese buffet, lunch and dinner. As with most, you get a couple more shrimp entrees plus crab legs for the dinner price.
Medium-​large buffet area that’s well-​organized. A small steak/​stir-​fry counter where they also have some sushi, some real fish and fake crab and calf. rolls. They have a very good Inari sushi, little pockets of fried tofu filled with rice and topped with seaweed. If there’s none displayed, ask for it!
Service is always first-​rate and my tea is usually hot and strong as I request it. The Jalapeño Shrimp is tasty as is a pork dish usually put out. That and beef with broccolli, ribs and Mongolian beef are the only non-​chicken/​shrimp items. They have a few American items but I don’t pay much attention.
They also have a marvelous egg-​cup pastry shell that’s delish — usually hidden next to the steak. Lots of fresh fruit as a rule. And they include cheesecake with the dessert selections — get one early so it has time to defrost! And tubs of genuine Blue Bell ice cream!

NOT authentic. Very little flavor in most dishes. Ribs tender, but lacking sauce. H&S soup a failior. Egg rolls & spring rolls tasteless mush. Squid & octopus like chewing rubber. Egg custard very good. Service lacking. I would not go back.

I ordered take out. Super friendly and the gentleman behind that counter was helpful. The food was very hot and stayed warm until I arrived at my destination. Overall for a buffet it very good.

Everything is good and fresh. Pot stickers are great. Sushi was hood and fresh. Service is great. Place is clean. All the food was great. Will be back again. Would recommend jt as a place to try! Prices are good too…

I couldn‘t get over the price of the buffet for what you get. I loved it so much I went back twice in the same week!

So glad I had a salad for lunch. I needed the extra appetite.
I expected more Japanese food for some reason… My friend told me the name of the place popped up when she googled Japanese in San Antonio. No big deal, especially since you have 9 DIFFERENT KINDS OF SHRIMP! And octopus! And fresh mussels done two ways!
Actually, it has some sushi, a few western items like corn on the cob and chicken nuggets for the kids, and most of it is Chinese Food. But I found the seafood to be impressive.
How does a restaurant even stay open when they offer so much seafood at $ 10.99 a plate? And kids under 10 eat at $ 4.99? Ridiculous!
Go! Quick! Before they smarten up and raise their prices. Psst! Lunch buffet is $ 7.99 apparently.

Whenever we come service is wonderful! The staff is so super nice it’s crazy! The broccoli casserole, Mongolia beef, pot stickers, coconut shrimp and hot and sour soup r #1 on my list! I have eaten everything in there and have never been disappointed! We come here at least 3 – 4 times a week for lunch!

The food was exceptional and delightful. Also, was constantly cleaning their work areas.

Not a lot to choose from, the sushi is nice. The other items can be very salty and greasy.

Got a coupon in the mail for this place and figured it was time to start branching out from the norm. Grabbed the clan and headed on out. Parking lot was clean and the food smelled good when we walked in. Service was quick to get us drinks, but the request for a booster seat went unacknowledged. My son is tall enough now he’s in-​between for thoses things so we didn’t push since it was not absolutely required.
First round and I only put 3 things on the plate for my son. Now my kid will eat anything, he loves anything I put in front of him, but the food looks old and kind gross for it being an early Friday evening — shouldn’t it be freshest at this time? The standard kid food looked dried out and re-​heated and the only thing he ended up actually eating was the beef and brocoli. The beef was tender but the sauce was overpowering.
I like to start with sushi, but wow it looked like my kid had put it together. The rols were made ot of smushy tasteless rice and the sliced fish looked dry and unappetizing and wasn’t even sliced correctly. I can make better at home (and have).
The only slightly redeeming quality in this place was the crab legs which had a decent flavor and the staff was polite. Everything else was an assault on my tastebuds. They couldn’t even get a decent flavor out of the egg drop soup.
Overall, I wouldn’t even give a single star if the option was available.
This place is not worth the time or money. there are plenty of other buffetts around town that are in the same price range that actually have good food.

Been back a few times! The food is on the upswing and it seems after almost two years in business they got the kinks out! Recommend going between 4P — 5P as they put out the dinner items fresh. Between 1P — 3:30PM is probably going to be a challenge as it’s really lunch probably just sitting there.
