OMG!!! I just saw the manager of the coffee shop inside HEB, Sertinos, threaten this kid to his face. I never thought HEB employees were like that. I definitely don’t want to come back to this store.

Really nice and gigantic store! Employees are pretty nice and friendly. The store seems to be always clean and stocked every time I come in. I just like to go to the HEB Market because it’s smaller and also has everything I need. This HEB is just too big! Plus it’s not really just off the highway. It’s a hassle to get into the parking lot. Unless you don’t mind the walking and the traffic to come out here then that’s fine! You will definitely get the extra exercise! LOL

This HEB is AWESOME!!! I’m from Houston and had no idea that San Antonio is the home to HEB. Well I love grocery shopping and I love HEB so I felt in heaven at this location. I made a quick stop with my friend who lives in SA. I was amazed at how big this store was and the amount of sampling areas they had. This location even had an entire electronics section and a clothing shopping store! I wish the HEB in Bunker Hill could look like this one… if SA has us beat in one thing, it’s definitely the quality of their HEB stores. By the way, this location also carried products that I’ve never seen in Houston HEB stores.

If I lived in Texas H.E.B would be my regular grocery store. There was everything here. The cheese and meat selection alone was amazing. I ordered a sandwich from the deli for lunch and it was very good just a tad bit greasy. They have a sitting area you can actually take a quick break and grab lunch or take it to go. There are food samples throughout the store. I won’t lie I sampled several of them before I decided I was hungry and I should probably just get a sandwich or salad.
The employes were friendly and the store was clean.

The Whitening Lounge is a waste. First off all, you have to do all of the work. The technician hands you the mouth guard, whitening gel, gauze and «tells» you what to do. I don’t know, I had a different expectation of service. Second, you have to do the procedure (insert guard, apply gel, and hold a small hand mirror). Third, there is an entire syringe of whitening gel that is offered to you, but they throw away what you do not use. I asked why I didn’t get to keep it as a part of my paid service, but the technician said, we just throw it away. I asked if they reuse and she said no (I am nervous now, but I did see it go into the trash can). Finally, the lights are pretty bright in the lounge, so when I got into natural light the results were not that great. My teeth are already pretty white, and my son’s teeth looked slightly whiter on the top teeth, but not on the bottom. The technician assured me that our «teeth will continue to get whiter over the next 3 days” – I am somehow not feeling optimistic. My 16 year old son got pretty poor results so far. I am not convinced that he applied enough of the whitening gel to both the upper and lower teeth. I did call to ask if he could repeat the procedure, but the technician (Kaitlyn) said «No, I watched him put it on and I think he put enough on». Think very seriously before using this service. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I will go back to my whitening trays from my dentist – did I mention I put that on myself too but

A must see. Disneyland for adults, a one stop shop for sure. A glorified super Walmart and more.
Forget downtown tourist attractions, this is worth the trip, there are many around the area but this one is a «HEB plus»
Gluten free aisle, a small but better than nothing vegan display.
Love the café, you can have a salad bar, deli or I just bought GF and vegan items, paid and sat here to eat. Had to get more shopping done.
If you can get in and out and stick to your list, you must be a blind single man.

An Amazing Store. We have lived all over the country and HEB is a terrific Grocery Store and this HEB Plus is top Notch.

Love this place! HEB always does it right. The place is clean and the employees are friendly. Ever since Ioved to TX two years ago I have consistently impressed with HEB. If they keep up the good deals and good service they’ll always have my business. Thanks HEB!

HEB in my opinion is the best grocery store chain in the whole country. Their generic products are most times better than the name brands. I’ve been to grocery stores all over America and I have yet to find one better than HEB. San Antonio proud.

The love/​hate relationship with this store drives me insane… This store is fabulous! The beauty department has a great esthetician and the waxing was on par. Love the wine tastings.

I just love H-​E-​B. The store is in H-​E-​B plus and has a wide variety of food and other items. I love the fact that they have organic. Even at their busiest times there’s always a fast check out. Most employees are usually very happy and helpful. They just seem to have fun all around good structure. H-​E-​B is always my first stop before anywhere else.

Best HEB this side of the Pecos.

Best Grocery Chain in Texas!
Let me preface this review by saying, this is my first and likely only review of a grocery store. It is only due to the exemplary customer service that I’ve received on multiple occasions that I felt compelled to write a positive review for HEB.
Aesthetically, this is one of the nicest grocery chains I’ve been in. Not only is the store huge, it’s beautiful, well maintained and they truly go above and beyond to provide a variety of fresh produce, a unique bakery selection, a sushi counter (that I happen to really enjoy, and I’m from California, sushi snob capital) and a great wine and beer selection, if you’re in to that thing. which of course I am!
Day or night this store is always incredibly busy, I mean bumper carts, it’s hard to get through the aisle to get your food kinda busy, but the shoppers are pretty respectful and HEB somehow manages the chaos that is Sunday morning groceries.
Outside of aesthetics and the busy atmosphere, let me tell you about the incredible customer service I’ve received. I’m an «organic» foodie (call me an over-​spender) but I like the idea of organic food and was consistently disappointed that they never had any organic potatoes or organic fresh corn. So, recently I wrote a brief email to this store just to see if they could do anything! Well the response I received was pretty incredible. The operations manager contacted me, thanked me for my feedback, told me that they are now currently sourcing to see if organic corn/​potatoes was possible and that there supply group would be contacting me.
WELL WHAT DO KNOW, on Sunday this week the variety of fingerling potatoes (the purple, red, yellow ones) were available (ORGANIC)! Now that’s service. This same shopping trip I decided to get a cupcake and asked curiously about a chocolate in the case, the bakery counter gentleman was EXTREMELY nice, even offered a sample to me! I am just consistently impressed by the group at this HEB, but the service provided from the management team and from the incredible follow up to a very simple email.
Keep it up, as long as I’m in South Texas, I will always shop at this HEB.

Nicest H-​E-​B I’ve been to in San Antonio. It’s like a H-​E-​B supercenter (electronics, beauty, clothing, food court, and even a small boutique store). Much cleaner & more organized than Walmart – or even Target! If I lived closer, this would be MY H-​E-​B. :-)

I wish H.E.B. was in LA… favorite grocery store EVER. I guess it’s true when they say «everything’s BIGGER in texas»

What isn’t in this HEB? Cars? Planes? Seriously if you can’t find it here you probably don’t need it. I get lunch now and again from the deli up front and it’s always really good and at a great price. That said, I work within a really reasonable distance from here (less than 2 miles) and it typically takes me about 25 minutes to go there, grab lunch and get back. Granted I know I’m fighting 281, sometimes the service is a bit slow, not enough to deter me from shopping there but it’s noticeable. In general though, as a grocery store, the layout is great, good deals, easy to navigate.
