The atmosphere was really entertaining the employees were really nice. Our server asked if it was our first time, which it was, and gave us samples of all of their soup and their oyster nachos(which are fantastic) it was a pleasant surprise and we will be back soon.

This place is the prime example of a chain restaurant trying to utilize the Cajun name and culture to take advantage of people. I ate the boiled crawfish. I have never seen a restaurant try to boil crawfish in nothing and then pour a sauce on top and shake them up like if you were cooking and seasoning wings. But what do you expect from a company that is out of Dallas Texas. On top of this 1⁄3 of the Crawfish were mushy which means they were dead before they were cooked. Absolutely Pathetic

Came here for lunch on Saturday. Was busy but we were immediately seated. My wife had crab cake sandwich and I had fried oyster po boy. Both were delicious and had an accompaniment of waffle fries. Service was speedy and attentive. I can see why it is busy at lunch on Saturday! I wish it was closer to my home, but when I’m in the area, I will be back.

Went to FCG for the SAILS fundraiser. FCG is awesome about hosting one per month(may have to go for the firefighters next month) and I knew about this one well ahead. So my wife and I made the trip and joined SAILS staff and board members for some GREAT seafood! Normally I start with the food, but this time I need to begin with the service. Paul was our server. Rocking some serious chops a la Elvis in his later years, Paul kept my glass full, my plate constantly in front of me and made sure that we were happy. Now for the food. I started with my first dozen oysters. Wife had the scallop and shrimp scampi. Graciously seasoned with a light basil pesto, her scallops and shrimp was, according to her, most excellent! She decided to forgo her usual crab legs this trip. Then I started on second, then third(sorry…no picture of that third dozen) and then I wanted a fourth! The Gold Band oysters are the MEATIEST, JUICIEST, and most flavorful oysters I have ever put in my mouth! Given my recent disappointment with another seafood restaurant about their happy hour oysters, these at Fish City more than made up for that! After my fourth dozen, I had the famous shrimp and grits! Always a hit! For dessert, Key Lime pie and bread pudding! By the way, Fish City is Cajun-themed. They do have an upcoming Mardi Gras party there, so I might give it a chance and go! However, to my slight dismay, they did some minor redecorating and took down the beads from the fans. I always liked watching the beads spinning with the fans… Some of my Unilocal friends know my affinity for oysters. So much so that when the mood hits, I want them, and will do anything that I can to get them! Although I fuss about price, I don’t mind so much if they are worth the price. At $ 17.99/dozen, these at FCG were definitely worth it! I’ll continue my quest to find the best oyster bang for the buck. But definitely Fish City Grill is on my must eat oyster list! Photos below: sorry… I forgot about tray number three. :-( Hey…that seafood place downtown in the Pearl: *THIS* is what oysters SHOULD look like!

This is my favorite spot and my honeys too. We eat here at least once a week. A little pricey but well worth the splurge. I wish the drinks came in a bigger glass. Kinda small for the price. The chef is fantastic. They have new creations daily. I love seafood so much and this place has great food. The dinner salad is so yummy with pecans and feta. The gumbo is great too.

Food was not good and service was terrible. I wasn’t expecting 5 star but this was plain gross, my whole family felt the same way and we each tried something different.

****updated review 1⁄1. We tried this place again today and had the oyster nachos which were great again and we tried the fish and chips. The fish and chips were much better than the food we had last time. Our server was very attentive and friendly and explained all the specials, etc. at one point she was busy with another table when we needed napkins and ketchup but another server came by and was truly happy to help, good team work there. Everything came out quickly and was nice warm and freshly cooked.*** I really wanted to like this place but I’m kinda meh about it. It was our first time and they bought us a oyster nacho and soups to sample. The oyster nacho was surprisingly really good. The clam chowder was tasty. To order my husband got the shrimp poboy. It wasn’t exciting. The shrimp fell out. I got a special of salmon and crab enchiladas. They were ok, not bad not something I need to eat again. My brother got the fried shrimp and fries. His fries were good. I might try it again for fish and chips. Maybe.

A must stop place! Staff is warm and friendly. We had the oysters, crab bisque and the house salad with bleu cheese and candied pecans and everything was so delicious! We didn’t leave a crumb behind. Well worth the stop!

Nice service, and nice atmosphere! We had mahi mahi taco, absolutely love it. My Alabama fries catfish was great, but little oily over the fish. We also had grill oyster, but it was salty. Wouldn’t not recommend the drinks here. Comparing the price 8 $ for a drink, you expected the design and the quality of a cocktail drinks should be at least average, but my «hurricane» drink was suck. It didn’t not taste good since it has too much juice in it, and the design of the glass was just too normal, not look like cocktail at all. Would prefer the owner to change the style of the glass. Otherwise, everything is just fine.

I don’t care if you think you don’t like oysters, order the Oyster Nachos. The oysters are fried, so forget that awful past experience you had of slurping down a raw oyster and move forward, because this is nothing like that. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. They have a chalkboard with the specials, that convinced me to order the Mahi Mahi tacos. Three corn tortilla tacos with grilled Mahi Mahi, cabbage slaw, mango-avacado pico, and cilantro lime rice. Fresh, moist, flaky, well seasoned fish, crunchy fresh slaw, and the sweet creamy combo from the mango-avacado pico. Winning. It’s a simple seafood place serving quality food. Give it a try when you’re in the area!

I ordered a fish sandwich to go in a hurry and did not expect to be soooo satisfied! I placed my order over the telephone and when I arrived it was ready — and CORRECT! I ordered the Blackened Tilapia Sandwich with a side of Hush Puppies. The sandwich was prepared perfectly — topped with a delicious Remoulade sauce, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. The bun was soft and fresh!!!

First time here. Place was pretty good. They have a lot of great specials and had a «fall inspired» drink menu which was unique. The only thing negative I can say was the chips they use for the shrimp cocktail came straight out of a heb bag. They weren’t good with the cocktail shrimp.

I’m a regular here and have always loved their menu selections and the reasonable price. Today I ordered beer battered shrimp with mashed potatoes… Great taste, wonderfully prepared and very satisfying. I also love the laid-back atmosphere here. Come check it out!(they also have a pretty good bar /drinks).

I have been here several times and the staff is always friendly. The food is also always fresh and delicious. I always get the clam chowder & fresh oysters and they are perfect. I tried the key lime pie today and it was also very good. I will continue to come back.

I ordered the Seafood Pallete which contained fried catfish, shrimp, and oyster also I got double rice with it. The food was pretty good but I wish the catfish was cooked more a little bit because the meat was quite soft for me. The atmosphere is casual, not too loud not too quiet and it’s clean. Also the workers are kind and helpful. Note: This is my own opinion. Its also the day I visited so your experience might be different from mine or not.

Updating my review ! So my first visit did not go so well. The company sent me a full refund and a gift certificate to try it out again. This time is was amazing! My mango margarita was delicious. I ordered the fried tilapia sandwich and it was hit and tasty. Had bread pudding with whiskey caramel for dessert. I’m full and satisfied. Manager Carlos came over and made sure everything was ok. He was very nice and apologized for my last visit. This visit had changed my perception of this place and I will be coming back.

Sit at the bar and order a plate of fried oyster nachos. Great for a snack or light lunch, add on a drink if you want. Plate includes 5 or 6 nachos, and a giant heap of pico de gallo and a light chipotle sauce. For under $ 10, it’s good and the service is decent. Check the specials board for other options if you’re still hungry. Apparently they’re known for their fish tacos here, but I never seem to want to try anything but the nachos.

Went to eat here a few weeks ago, in April. It looks like the portions have gotten smaller, but the prices have stayed the same. The food tastes good, but there only 8 hushpuppies, a piece of fish, and a handful of broccoli and zucchini. I was a little stunned at the small amount of food, but it still tasted pretty good. Not sure if I would come back here, maybe just because it’s in a convenient location and the staff are decent.
