Horrible service, we got sat by the AC vent so we asked to be moved and our food literally took 30 minutes to come out and when we asked about it we saw the plates just sitting there getting cold. We got up and left after the people that came after us got their appetizers! Don’t eat there!

Not the best Denny’s in San Antonio. Service was very mediocre and our waiter forgot our utensils, barely checked on us and also brought out the wrong order. The pancakes and hash browns were okay but Denny’s can definitely do better.

Extremely slow. We came for breakfast on a Sunday. We were sat fast but everything else was slow. Good was cold. Worst pancakes I’ve ever had and I usually love Denny’s.

Ha, waited aboit 10 min to be seated. Two woman at four different times told us theyd be right with us. Finally another waitress sat us down right next to a huge party. Which that table was very nice. The place smelled horrible], im guessing it was the floor. Took till we we’re finished until we had a second cup of coffee. Food was ok, not the best but ok

Location is great, restaurant appearance is quite clean. Very busy location, expect delays for food service. Nothing outstanding here besides the free parking while you eat. Food is average for a food chain restaurant. Coffee runs out, had to find somebody for more on several occasions. Check your order they forgot what I ordered. Had a hamburger, tasted like fresh meat and veggies, did take a 40 min but at least it came in warm and tasty.

I had breakfast with my mother this morning about 9:30. Unfortunately, it feel short of what should have been a 4-star experience. Now I understand why this location receives only less than 3-stars. I wasn’t expecting a fine dining experience; just standard. We were the 4th table and than 15 min in, good service began to go down hill. More people started to come and our server was overwhelmed with her section. Another server was on break mid morning and the manager didn’t help her. After our food was served, our server never came back to see how our meal was, never brought our water and no refills on our coffee. Yet she was able to check on everyone else and bring their drinks she forgotten. We were there for 45 min and then she finally checked on us. My French toast looked old and dull. I sent it back and had her remove it from my bill as it took her an extra 15 min after I ate the other part of my food to notice. It was a very poor experience. Manager, server and other server dropped the ball. As an ex-server of over 10 years, this was inexcusable. Although I know how it is to be in their shoes, I still have a decent tip.

After waiting a long time for my food, it came out cold and the bacon was extremely undercooked. I asked the server for butter and never received it, never got a refill on my coffee, they attempted to heat the food but it came back no better than before. The only thing that was edible were the eggs after I walked up and grabbed my own salt and pepper from another table. I don’t feel the manager cared much she seemed numb to it all. I watched other tables nearby express their displeasure with their service as well so maybe it was business as usual for her. If you’re gonna eat here I would suggest not coming on a Sunday morning when they have a crowd. I’ve been to Denny’s around the country and normally have a great experience, and if they mess up they usually try to fix it, but today they didn’t bother to make anything right.

I swear! All Denny’s are the worst! They have managers and servers that don’t care. The cooks? Not sure if they can’t read or if they’re not able to comprehend instruction. I don’t eat pork, beef or fish. I ask the server NOMEAT!!! Well sure enough my breakfast sandwich comes back with meat in it! The re-make took forever. At the register manager didn’t even to say she was sorry or anything ATALL! All I ever want is an «I’M SORRY»! It’s not that hard people! I didn’t need a discount which she did give me… that doesn’t make me feel better about my partner finishing her food and making me wait for mine and then watching me eat my food alone!!! I’m very very upset! My appetite was spoiled and everyone was very rude! Never again!

Worst service ever. Got inside three waiters went by and still took about 15 minutes to get seated. Then sat at the table waiting another 15 minutes to get a drink order. Then was told will be back in a minute before taking the drink order. The waiter Jarrod. Was so overwhelmed playing host, cashier, and waiter. None of the other waiters lifted a finger to give them a hand. No managers in sight. Asked to see a manager. Was told the manager is on the way out, and the manager never showed at our table to address the issues I had. Would not recommend this restaurant to anybody based on the service. Worth spending few extra dollars elsewhere because of the service.

Staff your restaurant! The LARGEST conference in the state is here and you can’t seem to get it together. Every. Year. Valentine’s Day week — Thursday through Saturday. Treat it like your BUSIEST day of the year. GM is rude. Says that they can’t help it that they aren’t staffed properly. Yes you can. Show up on these busy convention days or find another job/cut shifts. Not that hard.

I don’t expect *much* from a place like Denny’s to begin with, except for the *hope* that the food is somewhat edible and that our drinks stay filled. Our waiter was terrible, it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and the orders were not even correct. Do yourself a favor and go inside the Rivercenter and have lunch at the food court instead.

My husband and I were in San Antonio over the Christmas holidays and visited this Denny’s for breakfast on Christmas Day. The wait was long and that was expected on Christmas but we were seated soon enough. Service was okay. But the portion size at this Denny’s was surprisingly and ridiculously small. I had ordered the skillet with chorizo. When it finally came, there were maybe 10 cubes of potato and 4 pieces of Chorizo. Ridiculous! We put it down to the fact that maybe they were running out of stuff owing to the holiday crowd but that is no excuse. Very let down with Denny’s.

Rolled in here at about 1a, because there wasn’t much else open at this hour. We came hungry, looking for hamburgers, and Denny’s hooked it up. We’d been partying downtown all day, and ended up here. It was clean, and inviting, and the food came out quickly. I got the burger that’s covered in a fried egg and hash browns. A breakfast burger. It was edible. The burger wasn’t flavored very much, and the hash browns and egg also lacked flavor. It needed a spice and salt. Fortunately, they brought out a bowl of jalapenos and sriracha sauce, but no ketchup. They did a good job on service– our waters never went dry. Overall, it was an ok experience. You can’t expect much at early hours of the morning, but these guys are 24⁄7.

Worst customer service ever. We(and another group) stood here like a bunch of jerks for 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Someone came up to help… and then asked who she could help check out. So that’s 2 people helping people pay and 0 people seating people. I shouted, «How bout you help seat someone instead?!» And walked out. I was insanely cranky after a 14 ½ hour drive that was only supposed to take 10 hours. I ended up driving 7 miles to another one that had awesome customer service

This review is based on one visit alone — also I must forward by stating I can’t believe I’m giving such a raving review for a breakfast chain — all true though!: New Year morning 2014… place is BEYONDPACKED… patrons are rude, impatient, and some most-likely hungover from the night before. Despite all the negativity, the Denny’s staff kept their cool, worked as quickly as they could to accommodate everyone, and did so with a smile on their faces. I felt really sorry for them because they were doing the best they could, but it wasn’t enough for a lot of customers. Kudos to the staff. Because of the mayhem, I decided to order my food to go and take it back to my hotel room. I have not been to a Denny’s in years and don’t have very fond memories of past visits. On this trip had the $ 2(YUP!) open biscuit and gravy with a scrambled egg. The biscuit was light, the gravy was thick, seasoned well, and loaded with sausage bits, and the egg was cooked correctly. My husband had the $ 4(YUP, AGAIN!) Value Slam(pancakes, eggs, and bacon) and said his was good as well. So kudos to the kitchen staff as well for putting out quality diner type food when so incredibly busy! Also, their were no mistakes on the order, so thanks to whomever packed the to go! Didn’t know about the value menu. What a bargain!!! Will have to seek out a Denny’s close to home and see if it offers the same quality of food and service. Not going to hold my breathe… I think this may have been an exception for the Denny’s chain.
