I came a second time and had a different employee help me. She was not as nice as the first two employees I worked with when I first came. She was paying more attention to her two regulars in there and she did not provide me with the wifi code. Instead she told me to hook up to the TWC as a guest. My iced coffee with caramel also did not taste like caramel at all. Definitely disappointment on this second trip and that makes me sad because I really loved the place.

RECOMMEND: Cinnamon Dulce Latte, Affogato This coffeeshop is located in Artisan’s Alley which is a cute area with shops and the restaurant Bread Winner and Painting with a Twist. This was such a cute find! Tucked away in it’s alley, it was pretty quiet for the weekend and thus a great study spot! STUDYINGATMOSPHERE: There were plenty of tables to sit in and if you sit near the walls, there are outlets. The wifi is strong and surprisingly kinda quiet on the weekends! The place also has a cozy feel to it and there’s a patio in the front to sit as well if the weather is nice. The music isn’t too loud or anything. DRINKS: There is a huge drink menu here — everything you can think of coffee wise with even frapps which is something unique I haven’t seen at coffeeshops unless you’re at Starbucks! Definitely wanna come back to try one! –AFFOGATO: My roommate ordered this one and she loved. Also she thought the price was relatively cheaper compared to other coffeeshops. –CINNAMONDULCELATTE: Definitely one of the most beautiful lattes I’ve ever had in my life. The foam on top was drizzled in a beautiful pattern of caramel syrup. It was a warm, delicious latte but definitely on the sweeter side and less on the strong coffee side — very very sweet at the bottom. I think next time I would ask for another shot of expresso since I didn’t feel any of the caffeine kick in after drinking it. But otherwise a great choice for those with a sweet tooth. PARKING: A good amount of parking in the front of the shop and around the alley! Will definitely be back!

I LOOOOOOVETHISAREA&&&&&THEOWNER. I am constantly buying pet friendly spot to take my pups cause I just hate leaving them behind. We went for breakfast one Saturday morning and the owner was so fine! She told us that she makes everything from scratch, and my oh my did it smell and taste Great! Such a cunning little while in the wall, if you have not stopped by, you should!

RECOMMEND: 1) Affogato — I ordered it with 2 shots of espresso, which was the perfect amount of boost I needed for an afternoon of studying. The ice cream makes this drink a perfect choice for a hot summer day in San Antonio, and the crunchy pecans are a great extra touch! It’s $ 4 with two shots of espresso, which is relatively cheaper than other coffee shops, and the presentation is noteworthy as well. 2) Cinnamon Dulce Latte — appealing to both the eyes and the taste buds, this latte is perfect if you’re seeking something on the sweeter side. The entire Artisan’s Alley where this café is located is just adorable, i definitely recommend taking a walk around the area to check out some of the small boutiques and antique stores. Bread box is also next door, and I’ve heard they have some pretty delicious eats. The café itself is intimate and cozy, with great service and cool instrumental music playing in the background, which i found to be perfect for studying. There are decent amount of outlets on the walls and free wifi as well. I kind of don’t like the wooden chairs that much, they’re not exactly comfortable if you’re sitting there studying for a couple hours, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. Overall, really pleased with this cute little establishment and love that it’s not too overcrowded/busy even on weekends.

This place was just okay… The baked goods and coffee just didn’t stand out. They have a sign outside that reads«coffee bar» but the coffee is not like what you would expect compared to the coffee shops here in San Antonio — — so just be aware of that when you go. The place is charming inside… As for their baked goods, I think we bought a crème brûlée bread pudding of some sort, and it was a overcooked and hard to bite into. I only took a bite or two and didn’t finish it.

This wonderful café is worth the trip! The staff are easy-going and enjoy chatting with you. I love this place because it’s not Starbucks, I feel like the staff at this café don’t look down on you based on how your dressed or act like snooty baristas(not saying all Starbucks are like this, just majority of them). The women who served us seemed very happy to meet new people and was very down to earth. In conclusion, our lattes and food were fresh and hot. They have an array of pastries and choices in food. I love the atmosphere of this whole shop and patio. This place deserves your business! Will be coming back with more family & friends.

Overall my experience at Copalli was amazing! The staff was great, the coffee was the perfect drinking temperature, and the breakfast croissant was fresh and flavorful! I will definitely be a returning customer in the very near future!

love love LOVE this place, it’s a little far from me but I’ll take the drive to come any time I’m craving so good coffee or POTATOSOUP! yes, they have some of the best potato soup out there! I went during my finals week and they were doing a «stressed out student» discount for students in school taking finals which was awesome and made me smile after a stressful day! I love their chi tea late as well. I just love everything actually, I try to get something different every time! Totally gotta check this place out if you haven’t already!

Enjoyed a late lunch here today with my Mother and brother. I love small cafes like this one, and all the reviews on Unilocal were so positive I was anxious to try the food. But when we got there, we were very disappointed to find they were closed for a private event. We stepped out, and as we were trying to think of somewhere else to eat, the owner came out to say again how sorry she was, and we looked so disappointed that she’d be happy to serve us lunch outside on their covered deck. San Antonio weather has been great lately, so being hungry and anxious to try their food, we were very appreciative of her offer. She asked what we were in the mood for and began to tell us about everything on the menu. We all ordered the exact same thing – Potato Soup, a Chicken Salad Sandwich served on a Croissant, and Coffee. Everything was so good, the Chicken Salad was a bit sweet, but not too much, and had Grapes in it. It wasn’t swimming in the dressing and all the chicken pieces were just the right size. Sometimes you will get a sandwich that’s dripping with the dressing, so much so that the chicken is sliding off AND the chicken pieces are either so huge you have to cut them up and put them back on your sandwich, or they are so puréed it’s pretty close to baby food. The Potato Soup was delicious, very creamy but still had chunks of potato in it, and actually tasted like potatoes. Again, just the right consistency, not puréed. The coffee was a bit strong for me but had a wonderful flavor. My Mother loved it, she told the owner how much she loves good, strong, black coffee and how hard it is to find any that taste good. It was their house blend, and my Mother left with a small bag of the beans as a Christmas gift. They do sell the beans. We all wanted to have dessert, even though we were full, and the owner’s son said his favorite was the Bread Pudding. That was what I wanted after seeing it on their website. It was awesome, unlike any I’ve ever had. Top was covered in a crunchy Crème Brûlée, that was almost like eating candy. Delicious food, wonderful service, very delightful conversation with the owner and her son. Genuinely nice people. It was such a pleasant afternoon, and it might not have been had she not offered to «feed us» on her deck, in spite of their being closed for the private event. Plus, now my Mother’s Women’s Sunday School class from First Baptist Church of Boerne has a brand new venue to go to for their Monthly Luncheon Out in January. It was a win/win except for my brother, in a way. I cannot speak to the prices as we never saw a menu and my brother treated us to lunch. But he did seem to enjoy his food.

I haven’t given a 5 stars to a place I reviewed but this place for me had it all. The customers service was so welcoming and friendly. The décor is warm. The patio is a great extension to this place and is great to be out there on a nice cool day. I find it hard to tell you about this café because I just want to keep this place all to myself. Now the baked items here are homemade and something out of this world. The lattes, mochas, frappes, and basically anything on the menu will make you realize that you hadn’t had a real pure café experience. I give this place a 5 star because of everything.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet coffee place to go to and I’m so glad I found this on Unilocal!I love small businesses because the people there are known to be authentic and have great service and I was right about this place! We enjoyed our coffee and my husband was satisfied with his sandwich. The owner was very sweet and it seemed like she remembers every customer that goes there. She was very nice to the family and she was sweet enough to ask everyone how they were doing, etc etc. We also loved the magazines and books around the place and it definitely made us feel very welcome to lounge around. My husband and I are definitely coming back!

Excellent, enough said, cozy place with great service and a great Caprese sandwich :) it’s an art to master this simple sandwich. I loved the cinnamon latte as well :) I will be going back for sure and would recommend this place to anyone :) be careful within the cups though, super hot! I appreciate the great service, Caprese sandwich and latte :)

A cozy coffee café in Artisan’s Alley– service is friendly, there are tons of squashy chairs and free wifi. I really love the area, but the products here are strong enough to be a draw on their own, especially the pecan coffee! If you dine in, it’s served in a mason jar. SA has had an influx of independent coffee shops crop up lately, but this one doesn’t get annoyingly busy. Their food menu is limited but fresh, and their house-made desserts are all incredible tasting and fantastically photogenic– snag a cupcake for sure. Covered patio seating available for nice days.

Adorable little café, with cute inside décor and a great patio area too. My mom and I walked here while staying at my aunt’s nearby. It’s tucked in a little bit, so it’s not easy to see right off the bat. My mom got a house brewed coffee and the cinnamon coffee cake. I got an iced mocha and the lemon blueberry coffee cake. They were all delicious! As we were sitting there, the woman working(I’m guessing she’s the owner) came over and gave us a whoopie pie she had just whipped up, with Bavarian cream. It was honestly the BEST whoopie pie I’ve ever had! I thought that was so sweet of her! We’ll definitely be gong back while we’re in town!

All I want is an affogato! I came to this lovely establishment about a month ago and ordered an affogato. They had run out of ice cream. I called one week later to see if they had some ice cream… NOPE! I called one week after that to see if they had some ice cream… NOPE! Why, oh why is it so difficult to get some ice cream? Why must I be denied my beloved affogato?!? Their coffee is yummy and dark though… if it wasn’t, I’d give them one star for not having one of the ingredients needed to make a drink that’s on the menu! I’ve given up on you, Copalli. I did enjoy the time we spent together.

With an eclectic variety in seating, one of the first things you notice about Copalli is that it is definitely not your corporate coffee establishment. With relative quickness, I received my mochaccino frappé, served in a mason glass. While a little thinner than I am used to, it was very good with just a little added sweetening(me and my sweet tooth). The generous slice of pistachio cake was very good and was a nice touch for a snack to go along with my drink. An also eclectic mix of music(from Wham to Neil Sedaka) made me turn my head when the music caught my ear. What will they play next? A good first experience overall and a place to come to when back on this side of town.

OHMYGOSH. I love this place. A lot. This is the place I take my non-coffee-drinking-friends, for several reasons. They actually make amazing coffee. Probably the best coffee I have ever had at a coffee shop(and I always drink it black) it’s rich, smooth, and got great aroma! The good thing about that too is that they are consistently good. My friends have gotten both the hod and cold cinnamon dulce and they loved it(and yes, one of those friends includes the one that doesn’t like coffee) Their location– it’s in a cute little area where there are old fashioned shops, like an antique or a gypsy store. The platform you walk on is wooden, which I always prefer over concrete/stone/etc They also bake everything in house! I had a lemon blueberry scone which was absolutely amazing! The crumble on top went so well with the rest of the cake. My only complaint here was that it was a little dry, but when you have it with coffee it’s just about perfect. Copalli is kind of a family-owned café. The guy at the register runs the front end with his girlfriend, and his mom is usually in the back baking their pastries. As a highly objective person, I really want to give you something bad about this place as well so it’s more believable, but I’m sorry I can’t think of anything. I know a lot of my bias towards loving this place comes from their ACTUALLYGOOD black coffee(which is way harder to find than it should be!), but I do honestly believe they are an amazing business. Sorry for hyping it up I hope you still enjoy your experience nonetheless: p

Love the obvious homemade treats on the counter. No store bought stuff here. Their small coffee is 12oz, large is 16oz, with a discounted price for house coffee in a mug(stated on board so I’m Guessing it’s a home mug you bring in to save them on dishes/waste much like Starbucks). Soy option for the coffee, to eat salads, soups, and Panini’s complete the menu board. The crème de La crème of coffee shops is having them bring out your order to you rather than shout your name or food out at the counter. The staff is lively and friendly which is expected in such a small intimate café. Speaking of intimate, this is a cozy place to come both alone and as a pair. Single chairs for sitting or booth, table, and combos of the two to pick from. This place has a little bit of everything without losing the charm that makes small coffee cafes one of my greatest passions to find. I’d have to agree with another reviewer I find that it feels like a place I’d find in Austin. Presentation is nice, atmosphere is warm, and even if it’s a bit colder than a stick figure like me enjoys, I still wanted to curl in the chair and sip my coffee as I look around. Now for the bad. The only reason its not a 5 star review is the little things to be tweaked. The 3 cheese panini which is advertised as a grown up grilled cheese. Includes spinach which I love but I felt there was equal parts spinach and cheese, if it’s a cheese sandwich the cheese should be the strongest ingredient with everything else being a background singer. Still yummy but I wanted more cheese to keep me from having to take out spinach for balance. The chair was comfy but next to it to share between the two chairs was a tiny table with a live plant that took up half the table space and all of the ideals space for food and beverages within easy reach. The leaves kept hitting my glass or getting in my foam from my drink and hanging over my food. Not something I enjoy. The biggest thing for me was having my macchiato latte in a cappuccino glass. I’m bias, I Hate glass cappuccino glasses. Hate them. I prefer ceramic coffee cups that help retain the heat of your hot beverage, especially in winter. Otherwise, magnifique. Caio. Oh and they heat up and bring to you any of the pastry items available on the counter. Is love i tell you, pure coffee house love. You guys just notched back to 5 stars. Lol
