First time here & so close to home. Hidden by other restaurants. Great breakfast tacos. Homemade tortillas! Carne guisada with cheeses was good! Lunch & dinner prices good… I’ll have to come back!

I’ve been to this place on multiple occasions for breakfast tacos. The food is ok but at least the food is cheap. However, the customer service you receive is way below standards. The girls that work behind the counter are slow, they act like they don’t want to be here, and you just feel like you’re bothering them when you ask for something. The wait is ridiculous even when you call it in ahead of time.

This is my favorite weekend taco place. Always fresh and made to order. I love the green salsa.

Finally found my old school the way my mom cooks Mexican food. Cheap and awesome as well as close to home. So when I feel like eating my moms juevos rancheros and don’t want to drive all the to her house, I head over to get my breakfast at 1pm from drinking all night.

All five stars go to the tortillas! Food is better than average. Let’s just talk about the torts. When I try a new place the first thing I do is smell the tortillas to see if they will have good flavor or just be plain. I was happy to smell that they would be good. They had great texture and help turn good food better. The atmosphere was ok for being a whole in the wall kinda place. The restaurant had the smell of being here for awhile but couldn’t tell. Two waitresses that seem to help each other was nice. I’ll be back again to enjoy the torts!

It’s was Saturday morning and mom wanted a haircut but of course her regular place wasn’t open until 10:00am. So we had to waste sometime. So we decided to stop on by Café San Luis for some coffee and some breakfast tacos. What a great choice. The waitress brought us our menus and asked what we wanted to drink. She came back with two hot cups of coffee and took our order. My mother had an over easy egg and one pancake. I ordered a bean and chorizo taco, along with a chorizo and egg taco. Both order we made to your liking. The food was nice and hot, and our coffee cups were always filled to the top. So next time we have time to spear we might make a stop at San Luis for a good cup of coffee.

Great prices, fair food. I had the special, the mole plate. The mole was nothing to brag about. The rice was awfully greasy for being rice. The beans were delicious! The salsas were the hit of the meal! I enjoyed the red one, really spicy and yummy! The service was great. My water never went empty, and the food was brought out quickly! The place was a bit loud for lunch– they have a jukebox blaring over the television set. Overall, the place was clean, the service was friendly and fast. I’ll certainly be back!

My tia took me here on a recent visit to San Antonio. The prices are REALLY cheap for good food! I was suprised at how inexpensive it was! Am I harping on this? We got our check and I expected breakfast for 2 should be 15 bucks… NOTHERE! It was 7.50! Wow. and it was REALLYGOOD! Bottom line, eat here!
