i walked in and the place was DEAD. i had to use the RR so i thought ok ill order my food to go and then use the RR while it is being prepared. well i go to the counter and the girl was standing there and i said can i get an order to go. and she pointed to the side and side togo is over there. i blew it off as maybe that was procedure. well i decided to eat there instead and when i sat down and ate my food i heard another customer ask the exact same thing and the girl took his order. thats when i was irritated. so i saw the manager and told him what happened and he said«oh im sorry». he didnt seemed too concerned or really ask for any details. i felt brushed off. so hopefully this gets read by someone who cares

I was not very pleased with my experience at this Bill Miller location today. The cashier at the drive thru seemed taken aback that I gave her cash instead of a card and shorted me on my change. I gave her $ 20 on $ 10.36 and got back $ 9.29 in change??? I was also disappointed to open my bacon and egg taco and see barely any bacon or egg. Overall, I would not consider this a good experience.

I like Bill Miller but the #5 chicken sandwich had a bone and pieces of tendon. No more sandwiches for me. Tea was good but all ice. Good thing is that this is not your typical Bills.

First time here. Good food, little over priced for what we had. Fresh ingredients. Open seating. Loud acoustics.

Great customer service is obviously not important to the Bill Millers at this location. The person who took my order didn’t smile at me or greet me. She just looked at me up and down and let me do the talking. She told me to go to the other side for my to-go order, so I decided to eat my meal there and order my coworkers to-go. I guess I accommodated myself for them. While I was waiting to pay, I decided that this location did not deserve my money. If someone had given me decent customer service, I would have been eating Bill Millers food right now instead of two tacos from a Mexican restaurant five minutes away. Tip: Treat others how you want to be treated.

I’ve never really liked bill miller. This restaurant is decent enough but the food is less then decent. Their baked potatoes and green beans are good but their brisket is fatty.

Let me first start by saying I love Bill Millers BBQ. I grew up loving Bill Millers and was heart broken when I had to leave for school knowing there was no Bill Millers. Every time I would come home I would make it a point to stop at least once, even if it was just for their tea. I can’t explain how happy I was when I found out Bill Millers was FINALLY moving out into the«hill country» or at least closer to Bulverde but, ever since it has opened this place has been a nightmare and after every visit I ask myself why I keep going back. The Bill Millers #71 near Bulverde has the most incompetent workers I have ever met. And no, it is not just because they have a lot of young people working there. Their managers are the monkeys running the circus. The Bill Millers location on 281&1604 has nothing but young employees(16 – 25 I would guess) and they always offer nothing but impeccable service which leaves me to wonder why the one in Bulverde just can’t seem to get it together? After complaints from myself and other written directly towards Bill Millers corporate complaining about the horrible service and lack of intelligence these employees have with no responses to date, I assume they understand there is a problem but, they choose to do nothing about it. Please do not take this a low rating of Bill Millers as a whole. You cannot beat their low prices and mouthwatering«fast» food but, if you want to try it for yourself Dear God, please STAYAWAYFROMBILLMILLERS #71INBULVERDE. THEYAREMORONS and rude morons at that…

This location is very hit or miss, some times it’s great and sometimes it’s not. But today(May 31, 2015) the drive thru was great. Ordered the 10 piece chicken tenders meal. It came with large order of fries and a bowl of country gravy, and a loaf of bread. All for 18 bucks and change. 4 people can eat off it.

Based on other reviews my expectations were pretty low. But being from put of town we gave it a try on our way to the airport. I had the salad with smoked turkey and it was actually very tasty and a great healthy option. Veggies were fresh, turkey had great flavor not dry at all, and the tea was perfect(plus they had limes). For $ 6 it would be hard to beat.

Follow up visit and review — Gave them a second chance to this location and went inside for to go order. After waiting 10 minutes asked where my order was and after they searched came back and said they were out of chicken sandwiches and would be ready in a few more minutes. If they are aware they are out of something and it will take 15 minutes they should let you know when ordering so you don’t waste your lunch hour. The chicken sandwich was overcooked and the outer layer was fried to the point of being jerky. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Parking is great and for a reason. Stay away!!! Overpriced BBQ and chicken strips especially. If you want good BBQ go to two bros BBQ on west ave. I ordered a #4 three piece chicken strip and was utterly disappointed with the size of the strips. The only reason I paid and took the order is so I could warn you guys not to come here. When I asked the female manager on duty why the strips were so small she said they’ve been coming in small, then asked if I’d like to buy another one. I’m uploading the photo of my tiny chicken strips, fries, & receipt so you guys can see. Zero stars if possible.

This morning I placed an order for pick up for breakfast at 6:33am(that’s the time that was on the receipt) I get there at 6:40 My order was 1 single 1 brisket egg and cheese on corn 1 orange juice I don’t get my food until 6:50 They had to remake the pancake cause it was burned. They did not have any brisket ready even though the manager called for it about 6 times I got my food, really, 20 mins later. Get to work and there is NO hot sauce when I had asked for 2 AND my pancake is STILL burnt. I have a picture of it to prove it and WILL be posting it in Unilocal. I cannot believe this from bill millers BBQ… The one on bitters is slow and unorganize and consistently subpar The best part of my meal was the orange juice

I used to love Bill Miller’s BBQ, especially the chopped sandwich and the beef poor boy sandwich. But the last few times I ate there, the food was not good. There was so much gristle in the meat that I ended up throwing the whole thing away. Bill Miller, you need to step up your game! I didn’t mind the aloof attitude of the staff, or the unreasonably long waits, but now that the food is sub-standard, I’ll be skipping this place until I hear things have improved. I cannot recommend this restaurant, which is too bad because it was one of my favorite barbecue places in San Antonio.

Sorry native San Antonians… but Bill Millers does not qualify as BBQ. It tastes like boiled meat with sauce and the sauce isn’t even that good. The fried chicken is decent. However, the desserts are bland.

I really only come here for the tea. I bought two refillable mugs and it only cost me one Dollar to refill them. I use to get breakfast tacos but, they were a little pricey and small. But if you don’t mind paying for little tacos then it’s not bad. As for lunch, all meats are good but the barbecue sauce is weak.

I ordered a sprite in the drive through and their system was super messed up, no syrup. I called to tell them about it as a courtesy, and the girl was really rude and acted like I bothered her. She said she’d let them know. No offer of exchange for a new one or anything, not that I would have come all the way back but an offer less the attitude would have been nice.

It is very disconcerting when you go out to grab dinner and the employee taking care of you over the drive thru is rude! Sadly I’ve found this often at this particular Bill Millers and it seems as though the same girl is working it. November, 16 at 8:50. To the manager, I would check who it was and have a talk with her. She is probably losing you business. You have lost mine for sure. I will drive the extra five minutes for good customer service.

Average on the barbecue, as far as barbecue itself goes. But these guys have a incredible breakfast tacos for not being a Mexican restaurant. The boys and I always love coming here in this particular location is good on service and fast.

Bill, what happened to your quality control? I’ve been going to this location for many years but tonight I was disappointed. I bought the Number 4 strips with gravy and when we opened the container at home it was room temperature and about one-quarter filled. And the pint of green beans I bought were covered with a pool of grease that made the beans not so tasty.

This is an ok place to go for a quick lunch. The salads are fresh and the BBQ is ok. ITISBUFFET! So, it is like a cafeteria line and you walk through and they serve you.
