A couple of months ago we traveled to Orlando, FL., and we stopped at BMs in Seguin, TX and it sucked. Everything was bad. I think it was because the Seguin place was so far from downtown SA. This experience traumatized me because I LOVEBILLMILLERS. So much so that it is a major fight between my wife and I.(She says I like it and rate it high because I have an emotional attachment to BMs. She also doesn’t like BMs and she says it is the epitome of bad BBQ.) So anyway, I ate at BMs downtown in San Antonio and it was amazing. As always I had the double meat plate — brisket and sausage — with potato salad, beans, and hash browns. I also had bread with butter and brownies. OMG it is everything a boy could want in BBQ. I know this review may kill all of my reviews due to the«controversy» BMs stirs between BBQ aficionados but I don’t care. I love Bills and it will always be my favorite BBQ place.

Got the 2 meat plate. Portions were average and taste was about average for a Texas BBQ joint. Pricing was decent but felt a little on the higher side compared to some of the other places I’ve been. So I guess what I’m saying is this place was pretty average. Lol.

This place was within walking distance of where I was staying, and at the time, was the only option I had for a late lunch… so I’ll be kind. For fast, cheap BBQ it’s «ok», but if you’re looking for something more refined please look elsewhere. I suspect the food is better at peak hours, so don’t judge this place solely on my review. Overall most people seem to think it’s alright and I would be inclined to agree with them.

Great, cheap place for breakfast. Wonderful staff and service. Can’t wait to try their BBQ!

I stayed at the Marriott next door and was in desperate need of walkable BBQ. It filled my requirement but nothing special. Brisket was dry. Go with the chicken and ribs.

We ended up here after searching for a place that ended up not existing. You go through a line cafeteria style amd order, your plate carried along on a tray. Staff was very friendly. The food was decent, and reasonably prices. It wasn’t exceptional, but it certainly wasn’t bad. I’d say slightly above average. My daughter had the pork ribs, with 3 sides. I had the smoked sausage with 2 sides. My son had the chicken sandwich with fries. The hashbrown were great! The potato salad was pretty good, and I’m generally picky about potato salad. All in all, the experience was good.

Awful food don’t understand how this chain is still open. It taste like school cafeteria food. Very pricey for like no food.

I’m from CA, 1st time in Texas… I was told by hotel staff to go here instead of county line, both have three stars. both locations are chain spots so don’t expect greatness. it was walking distance from my hotel and i had only an hour for my lunch(business trip) so I went for it. if you’re looking for good eats, try another spot. if you’re looking for okay bbq at a fair price, go for it. cheers!

Had the brisket tacos and they were delicious! Tortillas were soft and BBQ had a great flavor and was very tender.

Staff is friendly at this, the commissary of Bill Miller’s home place. It has a smaller menu, and the food is pretty yukky. Otherwise: slaw is so vinegary we couldn’t eat it; briskit; BBQ sauce tastes a lot like ketchup; ice tea is okay. Oh, I liked the potato salad, but that’s because I enjoy the kind that seems to have been made with mashed potatoes. Spouse, who is a bit potato salad fan, pronounced it inedible. The standard white roll-and-butter was. .. a standard white roll-and-butter. I’ve eaten better at other Bill Millers.

Bill Miller recently raised the price of their pork ribs to approximately $ 17 per pound plus tax. After all, you get lots of big bones with some juicy meat.

This is the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. We were looking for real Texas BBQ and somehow this atrocious place popped up at the top of the list. It was my brother in law’s last night off of the air force base for a while, and by the time we realized it was a fast food place it was too late to go somewhere else before his curfew so we ate there, though there wasn’t much eating going on and more staring in disgust and disbelief. It looked and tasted like what we imagined prison food would taste like.

This place reminded me of Dickeys which we have in California. Served cafeteria style and there to satisfy your BBQ craving. Since I was in San Antonio figured I had to visit, although not a place you would go out of your way for.

What can you really say about bill millers? It’s a fast food chicken place downtown. Everyone goes here. It’s always busy, but they get the food out fast. Overall, it’s just quick fast food. Nothing special. Nothing great. But it’s quick and cheap which makes for a decent on the go meal. :-)

Avoid their breakfast at all cost unless you want to get sick. This is the closest location to my work and I decided to give it yet another(4th) chance. Raw soggy tacos yet again. If you want to be safe do not order the eggs. Very disappointing that this location can not get a simple breakfast staple down. Overpriced(2 tacos $ 4.85) and undercooked!

We have better BBQ in the north suburbs of Chicago if that says anything about this place. Absolutely the worst BBQ I have ever had! Disgusting! The locals need to get out more if this has good reviews.

I’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast around 7:30 am and it’s been wonderful so far! The lines are not long and there’s always an empty table or two. Of course, it’s full past maybe 10am so plan everything carefully before coming in or else you’ll be that person who makes us all late for our meetings! :(

First and best taste of San Antonio brisket. Not a fancy place, but very busy, and quick service… beans and other sides also very good. Have visited other Bill Miller locations and had their catering at a reunion dinner. A favorite stop in SA.
