Beijing Castle Hills

First thing to greet the customer was the smell of sewage, secondly the wonton soup was a clear broth loaded with msg and only some pieces of wonton wrappers totally soft and disintegrating. When we asked the manager he replied that their wonton soup didn’t contain any filling so we told him to look up the definition of wonton and everywhere in the world you can clearly see it is filled, it’s like saying we don’t fill the ravioli, you just get the overlooked dough. When we told the manager we would never return, he replied that was ok. I almost forgot, that the combination fried rice was so tasteless that even two packages of soy sauce couldn’t help.
My advise, look up hospitality.

This place is a disgrace to Asian cuisine. I am from Beijing and to say this restaurant is Beijing cuisine feels like an insult to my hometown. The menu has Beijing duck, which is a signature dish from the region, yet 3 months into business they still have no duck (or lamb, for that matter). They post pictures of their dishes, but it turns out none of them are available. I feel like I have been deceived.
On to the food itself. If your not completely oblivious to Chinese cuisine, then you would understand when I say this is place is not great even under American Chinese food standard. Even the sodas are not carbonated (taste like water with sugar, how does one even screw up serving Coke?). If you want Chinese food, go to Panda Express, because at least is pretty cheap.
I wish one can give negative scores, perhaps this is something Unilocal could work on in the next patch.

I’ve been going to this place for years and decided to go tonight for dinner to find a new atmosphere and new management. It’s is definitely a step up from before. We ordered the combination lo mien and it was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. We have found our favorite place for noodles and will be back often.

Ive been coming to Beijing for many years, the food has always been good however the new staff is doing better than before and the food tastes wonderful! I love the new atmosphere
