Pretty sure this place is closed for good. Stopped by today to check it out and everything was closed and locked at 1:00pm. Nothing on their website or facebook to indicate they had closed shop and yet, nothing open during listed hours. If yall are still open I’ll be happy to try you out and update my review. But… It sucks to drive to a different neighborhood only to find a closed down shop.

I stopped in here with my wife because the name of the place includes«coffee.» Upon entering, though, I realized this was more of a bistro than a coffeehouse. That being said, Beat Street Coffee Co. Bistro is a nicely decorated place, has free WiFi, and some pretty great food. After looking but not finding any coffee on the menu, not even hot tea, I asked. Beat Street had one black tea, which my wife ordered, but no fresh coffee. Strange. But you know what they say — when no coffee is to be found, buy beer. While I can’t remember specifically the beer I had, it was one of their specials on-tap. It was a nicely balanced beer, not too hoppy, and went down very well with the fries we ordered to hold us over until dinner. OK, so the fries… Hand-cut every day, fried more like the European variety of frites, seasoned nicely, and with a smoky ketchup that they prepare in-house. These things may not have been the best fries I’ve ever eaten but they were very tasty. I’d definitely recommend them if you’re in the neighborhood. The gentleman next to us ordered what looked to be an amazing turkey club sandwich. If it tasted only half as good as it looked, it’s definitely worth a meal… The waitress/bartender was quite friendly and answered all our silly questions regarding their menu. Beat Street has a patio area with some nice seating if the weather permits. The WiFi was speedy, there wasn’t any loud or obnoxious music, and the food and beverages look very appealing. One thing I did not care for was the seating. This place is a bistro and not a coffeehouse and therefore they have tables like you’d find, well, in a bistro or a restaurant. Anyway, if you’re looking for a good place to have a meal, Beat Street should do the trick.

Although I was a fan of the old kitchen style, except for the fact that it was a bit too small and lacked good beer, I can’t say enough about their new menu. At first, I was a bit concerned that the menu was now mostly comprised of burgers and sandwiches, but reading the inventive ingredients was making my mouth water, so it had that going for it right off the bat. I was able to find seating very quickly(last went on a Friday night). Their beer list now includes some really good beer(ordered Dogfish Head Namaste — great choice I must say), and ordered some truly amazing food: — Sweet potatoes tater tots: large and nicely fried(I prefer it this way), with a very tasty ketchup on the side. — Brussels Sprouts salad: This was a delightful surprise as it had cold and hot ingredients mixed in. This is a large dish and I just couldn’t have enough of it. I highly recommend it for brussels sprouts lovers. — Pork Belly burger: WOW. The best burger I’ve had since I can remember. From the bread to the cheese and the juicy and very tasty meat, delicious. Yes, you do feel like you’ve gained 5 pounds after eating it, but it is well worth it. After that meal, I was not able to eat anything else for a little while. I am planning to go back soon to try out the burger with pineapple and their other salads and appetizers. The service was great, prompt, quick and friendly in an understated way, which I like.

so sad, has changed to a sandwich and burger place and not very great at that, this place seems to have an identity issue and complete change out of staff. Has a full bar now but prices are high for what you get.

After enjoying Beat Street for the last year or so, my wife and I had our last visit today. Apparently the chef has left the building and took old Beat Street with him. The mac and cheese was good, but that is a challenge to screw up. The salsas were terrible — the verde was flavorless and sour, and even worse, the«smoked» salsa had what tasted like liquid smoke as the flavoring. Gross. The burger was ok, but a shadow of its former self. The burgers down the road at The Clean Plate are infinitely better.

Top notch food. Great chill atmosphere. Good coffee and good happy hour. Good craft beer selection. Free wifi. Everything I have eaten here is exceptional. Prices are reasonable. Good place to study.

Oh Beat. I wish there was a better way to review… I would give the place 4 stars on taste alone. All of the dishes are very flavorful. Tasted the potatoes(roasted garlic fingerling taters). French toast according to those that tasted was good. The quinoa hit all the right notes flavor wise. The fried oysters were good according to the person that has them. The burger was fine but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately as we all know there is a lot more than taste that makes a rating so here’s the rest of the story: We were a large party– the 3rd large party that morning(11am). We sat outside, they have converted a small alley way into a nice outside seating area, live jazz playing. Lovely way to start brunch. The bad: –no umbrellas for outside seating(bad in SA summers) –the wait staff kept saying to order family style so that we could all share/taste –dishes are not served family style –small plates to way smaller than an average small plate, it is a regular(not family style/large sharing plate) –they have a very limited menu –cannot order off the menu(ANYTHING) –ordered a fried egg on the side and it was the last item that came out(hours after we started) –dishes trickle out of the kitchen and I mean trickle –one plate hits your table and everyone wants to attack it they are so hungry– my poor niece almost had no French toast left by the time she got it(& she had ordered it!) –from start to finish it took about 2 ½ hours for all of us to get served –it’s expensive, I think we paid over $ 150 for 3 plates & drinks(1 coffee. 1 all you can drink mimosa, and a few beers) I would not recommend for large parties. I would not recommend going hungry– I think my brother would have passed out had not the French toast arrived to save him. Don’t ask for anything off the menu & expect it with your entrée. Be patient– be extraordinary patient. I don’t know if I would have had the same experience if there were two or four of us but I think that if the kitchen cannot keep up its best not offer seating for large parties; however, if you accommodate you are in essence stating that you can handle serving additional guests. I bookmarked, I ate, I removed bookmark– that’s my experience.

I’ll keep it simple… Atmosphere was nice, wait staff was friendly, but the food we had was not worth waiting 2 ½ hours for. Very high chance that my family and I won’t be going back.

Simply fantastic. The atmosphere, the service, and the food are all on point. It’s a quaint bistro with warm & attentive service and food you’d expect to find at the nicest fine-dining establishments. Thanks for having such a wonderful place in my neighborhood! I’ll be back often.

We came for brunch on Sunday, and this is nice little place on Main. The parking is pretty easy at that time of day on a Sunday, so bonus. There were some choice dishes that were served. Being the strategic orderer I am, I split some food with another person. We ordered the French toast with peanut butter mousse, red grape jam, and bacon pieces. This is the rare case where Im’ saying I wish there was more foam and/or jam. The French toast was big, soft, and delicious, but with the exception of the bacon pieces, I only caught a little hint of the peanut butter or jam flavors, and then only on a few bites. I liked the dish, but I think it had potential to be really amazing. What was amazing were the fingerlings roasted in duck fat. As if that’s not decadent and flavorful enough, they came with garlic confit, crème fraîche, manchego, and chives. Every bite melted with fatty goodness and garlic. They were the kind of dish where you take a bite and close your eyes on the first taste. I was seriously into this side dish, but a little disappointed the standout was a side dish. We also had the world’s nicest server, but he kept forgetting to take the order or ask about refills for one person at our table. Unfortunately, we were there for her surprise baby shower, so being the only one not getting service consistently really colored her experience. The food was good, and it was fairly easy to get a table in the intimate café style restaurant. The bottomless mimosas are $ 13, and the individual ones are $ 3, so remember that you’re basically obligated to drink at least 5 or you’re not getting a deal, but I think you can handle that, folks! Beat Street has the potential to be a really solid, stellar little place in this neighborhood, and one that’s needed. A well-run, upscale little bistro would be at home nestled here in these gorgeous houses and long term family businesses.

Loving their new summer menu. Beat Street has yet to disappoint. The staff here is always friendly. Never a line when needing coffee in the morning, a quiet lunch spot — where your meal is fresh & prepared quickly. Their Pineapple Coconut Panna Cotta is a must try!

Quick stop in to do a little grocery list making and scope the place out. I’d hurt great things and it didn’t disappoint. My boyfriend had a cappuccino and dug it. I just had a coffee. The coffee was good. Not super acidic like many SATX coffees seem to be, but not the best pour-over ever either. While the pairing may seem a bit weird(it did to me), my boyfriend ordered the carrots off the appetizer menu and cleaned the plate. Although they looked delicious, I could not bring my un-hungry self to eat carrots while sipping coffee, so I’ll just have to believe they were as good as he said. Will definitely go back to check it out again for dinner or drinks.

If you are looking for a tiny selection of expensive sandwiches that you can make at home, this is the place for you. Honestly, I expected more just based on the store. I very much liked the aesthetic. You can tell someone put a lot of work into it. However, we came for lunch and left unsatisfied. The menu, although well-designed was very limited. When I tried to order a drink, I found that I was limited to italian soda or a selection of teas that did not hold much appeal. After spending 10 seconds or so perusing the entire menu, it was decided that we would relocate to another restaurant, and the server was gracious and tea we had ordered was gratis. Clearly, they have friendly service down. With a little tweaking of the menu and the ability to get regular soda, I’d give it another try. I’m also interested to see how they do on coffee vs. food.

Boy and I went in for dinner because we love the neighborhood so much. For the first 20 minutes we were the only ones around. Small menu, but everything we had was quite tasty. Standouts: –Tomato Soup: Wowzers. Mozzarella, y’all. Precious and wonderful chunks of magical cheese, hidden in the depths of the creamy goodness. Shut up. That is what this soup made me do. Boy was please with both his soup and the serenity that accompanied it. –Brussel Sprouts: I love me some sprouts. And these was stellar. The glaze was top notch and definitely are in my top brussel sprout list. They rival Arcade’s. Average: –Beer menu: It’s small but well priced. You can have several without breaking the bank –Burger: Oh how i wanted this to be wonderful. It was good, but I wouldn’t order it again. And I love me a burger. The ambiance was great. Casual and friendly. We will definitely be making this a regular spot, I’m just sad that more people aren’t hitting this place up! Hit up the Main area. It really is worth your time.

I woke up in San Antonio on Saturday morning in dire need of coffee. I was headed to Kate’s Frosting for a breakfast cupcake(shh, don’t judge!) and a quick look at the Unilocal app notified me that Beat Street Coffee Co was right next door — perfect! I walked into the empty coffee shop around 9:30am and went straight to the counter. Ordered my standard nonfat vanilla latte — iced this time because, man, Texas is hot, you guys! The barista was super friendly and the prices seemed really reasonable. I waited less than a couple of minutes and my drink was ready to go. I snagged a table near the window, but a quick glance outside made me realize they have a patio! Yes, please. So I moved out there and grabbed a spot on a comfy, pillow-filled couch. I enjoyed my coffee in the warm shade and I am pretty sure it was the best iced vanilla latte I’ve ever had. It was so flavorful and delicious. It was sure better than any coffee I’ve had here in Seattle, so I certainly think that is saying something. I wish I could come here for coffee every day!

Beat Street is very nearly a hop, skip, and jump from my place. The décor makes the room feel welcoming: Plush seats at the windows and tables and chairs throughout the rest of the restaurant. The setup includes a small library for some leisure reading. There is a lovely patio area with more seating. It’s got a very atrium-like feel, which adds to the already quite favorable ambience. Also, I pay attention to the music whenever I visit a place. I think it has a lot to do with the experience I have, as it were. The playlist here is great. It’s a great mix of classic and trendy laid-back songs. The business is clearly set up for guests to kick back and stay awhile. I like this aspect very much. The service is quick and the staff is very nice. It is, in a word, neighborly. I plan to return regularly, especially in the mornings and would like to try the place for lunch. I understand that this restaurant is a coffeehouse/café by day and a fancy bistro by night. You could easily have dinner on a date at this restaurant and be none the wiser to find out that you can pick up a cup of joe on your way to work the next morning. I have had dinner here, but the price point was a little steep for me. This place would be nice for dinner if you’ve got money to burn and a high-class palate.

3 distinct personalities: Coffee shop in the morning, affordable lunch joint in the afternoon, and swanky dinner spot/wine bar by night. The food menu is kept small and classy. The beer selection is slightly disappointing – a slight nod to microbrews would add a lot. The wine selection is a little better. The atmosphere is great. Comfy seating options, indoor and out. I went for lunch yesterday and had a grilled zucchini-chicken soup, and the aji tuna salad sandwich. Tasty, although I wish they hadn’t toasted the bread to a gum-tearing, croûton-like texture. Ouch. And why? I’ll be coming back here for the occasional quick breakfast before work, and maybe to try out the dinner menu. I don’t eat lunch out a lot. But when I do… I might come here.

What a great find! I was just walking by and saw this«hole in the wall» literally. The outside is nothing fancy and very easily missed. They have a very contemporary and comfortable interior and a lounge type atmosphere with blush outdoor sofas and chairs. They have a small bookshelf with books for you to read while you are there and some games. It also seems like you can rent out the patio for parties or gatherings since there was a birthday party going on the patio. I would not classify this as a coffee shop as they had more wine and beer selections available then most hipster hangout coffee/wine dives. The menu was very simple but looked awesome! The food also looked very good and the people eating seemed to be very happy. Our server was great and very attentive. They use square so it was nice to use my square wallet there. I will update this review when I return very soon to try out the food!
