Good in the neighborhood! Tucked away in the Huebner Commons shopping center on Vance Jackson and Huebner Road. A great place for upbeat ambience and laid back atmosphere! The specialty drink menu is on point and the eruptions of laughter and celebration only proves the quality and quantity of the drinks! Straight to the point: Lots of parking available. Outdoor patio is where the action is at, fans for hot days. Margaritas are fierce and delicious! Avocado dip prepared at your table. Needs a bit of salt but fresh ingredients! If you order something with cheese be prepared to experience cheese like never before! Dripping and pulling in cheese. Great! Our server Autumn was phenomenal. She juggled multiple tables with a smile and with ease. Loved the atmosphere and live music. Food was great and fairly priced. The restaurant was very busy so it speaks volumes about the food. Also, the staff seemed smiley and happy which says a lot about the restaurant as a whole. Will definitely be back! See you for dessert!

My guy and I really enjoy this restaurant, their chipotle cream sauce is amazing. I usually get the chipotle cream shrimp enchiladas with white rice and black beans but everything they have is great. We also have gone to brunch on the weekends and their brunch is extensive and delicious!

I wish I could give Ajuua more stars in my review. My entire family and friends group absolutely LOVE this place! Every meal I’ve gotten here has been superb but my go-to is always the Chile Roasted Poblano dish or the Fish Tacos dish! Their creamy cilantro sauce is the best I’ve ever had. All the dishes are flavorful with generous portions. Margaritas are a hit and the service has always been above average. Great place year-round because they cover the patio during winter & provide heaters. I would recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone!(and that’s saying a lot since SA has a TON of Mexican joints)

* Review for Geek Girl Brunch San Antonio( ) This was a suggestion from of our officers, and it exploded everyone’s expectations. The buffet was reasonably priced, which you can entirely read as *cheap*, for the amazing amounts of everything it offered(3 – 4 different kinds of eggs, with mixins, bacon, sausage, taquitos, cinnamon vanilla waffles, pazole, barbacoa, and on and on). Add on to that mimosa morning drinks are exceedingly well priced at, too, at $ 2 a glass and they come in 6 different, well poured, flavors. They handled a reservation of 35 like champs and even with only 2 servers for that many women we never once felt abandoned, overlooked, or forgotten. Our wait staff was the bees knees and kept as laughing, joking, replacing things, trying things, at our sides the moment anyone could have a question. We met the manager as we were leaving, too, and he was incredibly attentive, inviting and warm. We will definitely be hosting more brunches in this place! A++ Food A++ Enviroment A++ Service A++ Business Parternship

Have been here two times now just for drinks and appetizers. They make one helluva rocks margarita. The complimentary chips and salsa is a burnt brown salsa that had a great roasted taste to it. Ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup last time to split. There was no way both of us could finish it.(Maybe it was too much liquid with the drinks. but who’s counting) Ginormous portion. Lots of chicken in the soup and tortilla strips/cheese to add yourself. Enclosed patio was well heated in the«winter» months of San Antonio. Enjoyed the seclusion from all the families inside.

Went in here on a Saturday early afternoon. Wasn’t busy so I was surprised of the lack of service there was. Beside from the mediocre service and mediocre chips and salsa, the food wasn’t excellent, but it wasn’t bad. It was, for lack of a better term, good. I ordered cheese enchiladas and my boyfriend ordered the fish tacos. My enchiladas were a bit greasy but they were still good. My boyfriend liked his fish tacos but said he didn’t understand why they were«world famous». Overall a good experience. Would only come back again if I was close by and starving.

AJUUA has the best al carbon salad! The greens are always fresh and the poopy sead dressing is delicious. Brunch on Sundays is always a good choice. The service can be a bit slow but they are usually very busy.

The atmosphere is fun and festive. It’s a great place for groups, especially on the patio. Free chips and warm roasted salsa is always a plus. I came in for the famous fish tacos. I’m not sure why they are famous for them, as I’ve had better fish tacos around town. They were more than edible but not excellent.

This is a review specifically for the Sunday brunch buffet. I’ve taken two sets of out of town guests here and they all loved the food. As much as I love the food, I’m a fan on the delicious $ 2 mimosas. This place is so popular on Sundays you may have to wait a little for your table or wait for the food to be replenished on the buffet. Trust me, it’s worth it.

A perfect Unilocal find for dinner! Sat at the high top tables in the bar area. Cesar was our super amazing server!(Ask for him!) He was cool with us just chilling with drinks for a moment before ordering. He brought us out a great sampler of the sauces. His timing of checking in on us was always perfect — not too much, not to little, and very respectful. Had the enchilada trio and gluten free chicken tacos. Definitely coming back to try other dishes and see Cesar!

Sunday brunch is a mega deal and mega taste! Lot’s of delicious fare to sample, from the cheesy chorizo eggs and crispy migas, to the make-you-own fajitas. That’s right, make-your-own fajitas, which you can make until your heart’s content. The flour tortillas are heated for you, after you tell the server how many you want. Move over to the fajita station and fill ‘em up with grilled chicken or barbacoa, pico, chihuahua cheese, salsas, and lime. So good this review almost has be salivating. Excellent food, for a bargain of a price. Cancel Sunday lunch at Chuy’s and go here instead!

Let me start by saying this is a great location. Nestled in a plaza with Gymboree and other businesses in the vicinity walking in feels very comfy, with dim lights and music all around. Upon arriving I ordered a margarita to see what all the raving reviews on their margaritas were all about. They weren’t wrong, I’ll leave at that! I’ll let you try it out for yourself! I ordered a chicken topped in cheese and cilantro sauce from the lunch menu. When they brought the food to our table it tasted like heaven to my taste pallets, yum! If you love cilantro like I do. This is the plate for you! Our server was very attentive and was ready for anything we asked for. Definitely coming back for try their famous Sunday brunches, yum, can’t wait! Getting hungry just thinking about it… lol.

AJUUA… Latest 5+ rating Eatery… 2nd visit in two days. Carne la Mexicana… Beef tips… Seriously the best quality beef I’ve had in a Mexican Rest. Wow! Empanadas that set the bar for Empanadas; flavor and quality. Gluten Free Chicken breast… Really good with tomatilla sauce… Their Famous Fish Tacos were the best in Texas! I know fish tacos… None of the other guys are close The flavor, freshness and prep are a different level… So pumped we found this! Absolute must go!

Absolutely the best thing about this place is that my kids can pretty much scream and not be heard over the noise of the restaurant. It’s really a good place for kids — they have a good kid’s menu and they give the kids crayons to draw all over the paper-covered tables. My kids(2yo and 4yo) really enjoy it. The food is decent — not great. I usually get the fajitas. They’re usually pretty solid. Nothing to complain about but nothing to rave over, either. I’m far from a fajita expert but I’d say they are just about average for San Antonio. I’m pretty sure they use a mechanical tenderizer on the fajitas which makes me wonder if it’s really skirt steak or some other, tougher cut. I have a tenderizer that I use on tougher cuts. It definitely works but it effects the texture and makes it a bit dry. .if meat being tender and dry makes any sense, lol. If you have a jaccard then you know what I mean. The margaritas are quite strong and pretty tasty. .but definitely not my personal favorite. The house margarita, I believe, has sour mix and the«top-shelf» has orange juice in it. OJ in a margarita is cool. .just not my favorite. If I didn’t have kids I probably wouldn’t be a repeat customer here. It’s nice, though, to be able to have some decent food and drinks and not have to constantly shush the kids.

Super cute restaurant! Very spacious with an outdoor patio area. The service was great too. We ordered the fajitas which is a large enough portion to share. They keep their fajitas in this mitten like warmer to prevent them from getting cold or hard while you eat! Another star for their margaritas but I wasn’t a fan of their tortilla soup.

There is no shortage of casual Mexican restaurants in this town and this restaurant adds to the long list of options if you are into that kind of food. Ajuua! is very casual and family friendly. There are kids walking around everywhere here. The food is very inexpensive(most meals under $ 10) and the service was a little lacking. They have two dining options: indoors or outdoors. The indoor area is large and has many tables crammed into it. The outside patio is a nice option when the weather is nice. In the summer they have fans and misters but the misters really overpowered the area and became very distracting throughout my dinner. The menu was very extensive and offered some classic Mexican dishes. My problem with the food was that it wasn’t that interesting. I went with the gorditas filled with their signature chicken tinga($ 10.95) and although I’m glad the meal was very hot, it was not very interesting. Bland is the best word to describe it. I understand that a lot of Mexican dishes are made with simple ingredients but I appreciate when a restaurant tries to make the meal a little more exciting. Ajuua! did not do that and it made for a boring meal. My wife got the chalupas with ground beef($ 10.50) and the outcome was very similar to my meal. There was nothing exciting about the meal as it appeared that it was made with very basic ingredients. I would expect the ground beef to at least be seasoned with something. On the plus side, I was happy that they offered to go boxes as the portions were enormous. On top of the food, the service was not the best. We saw our waiter at the very beginning of the meal and the food came out very fast(almost to the point of being rushed) but he was an enigma for a large portion of the remainder of the evening. After we finished eating, we waited about 15 – 20 minutes to see him again. Overall, this place was not the best. I am glad I came and experienced it but I will probably not be returning in the future. I expected a lot better and was a little disappointed with the execution of the meal — both food and service.

I don’t think I can even describe how happy I am that I found this gem! First off, I loved how fresh the mixed drinks are. Plus we just so happened to stumble in during happy hour. Heck yeah! Second, the food!!! Oh my goodness the food! We had a party of 5 and we all ordered different dishes. They were so delicious! Enchiladas, tacos, carne guisada, bacon wrapped shrimp, 7 layer dip & tres leches cake all perfect. If you need any recommendations there you go. Thumbs up and I will return with a new crowd to share all of Ajuua’s greatness!

I started coming here regularly for the delicious cucumber vodka martini. Well, today it was as good, and when I was asked how I liked my drink I told them there were too many hard seeds. My drink was remade, however, the bar manager, Marco, came out and made a big deal about it. I was dining alone and was now the center of attention for others dining on the patio. Marco told me no one else complained last night about the drink, and I felt like I was being made to justify my dislike of the seeds. Unless I want to be the entertainment for all other diners, I will never say a negative word about anything here again. This place is only a mile from where I live, and the wait staff have never been anything but friendly. However, I will no longer come regularly.
