Good bbq. I love the potato salad. Probably the main reason I go here over other places. Also really good bbq sauce! Wish they stayed open a little later but they always serve fresh food so it’s worth it

Incredible bbq. No ambiance and they always look closed. This place should be packed from the minute they open to the last cleared table. Wha great good.

A hole in the wall but man do they KNOW how to cook bbq. Staff is nice. I had the brisket sandwich my only complaint was that it was so big I didn’t have room for the banana pudding! Their brisket is super tender, really flavorful, and moist. Definitely would return next time we’re traveling through. Husband had the brisket plate which was a very generous portion.

Man that was some of the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time. It’s home style so if your a tony Roma’s fan you might miss the attention to the detail in all of the food there. The brisket was a perfect pink and so were the ribs. I personally like the down home style. Hope you do too!

Stopped while passing through town based on good Unilocal reviews. Did not disappoint! Authentic and delicious BBQ brisket sandwiches, piled high with flavorful quality beef! Highly recommend!

Love the Brisket. Desserts are fantastic. Sodas are ICE cold. Price is very reasonable. $ 7.50 for a sandwich. $ 13.75 for a 2 meat combo plate.

This place is a must when dinning ing San Angelo! Awesome BBQ. I just had a Brisket plate, generous portion of meat. Comes with beans. Very good beans! And potato salad is excellent. You do scoop your own ice out of an ice chest but the sweet tea is off the hook!!! I would definitely visit this place again.

How much good stuff can I say about a restaurant before Unilocal takes it down for being obviously a paid for review? Assuming the restaurant hasn’t paid to get the good reviews left up of course. This place is everything that is right with America. Brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad, white bread, and sweet lemon tea. Every single item was delicious. I will be going back soon to try a rib sandwich and the banana pudding. Not wanting to get into a word count battle with Tolstoy I will cut myself off here, take my word though it is delicious.

Great BBQ all round. We got the 3 meat plate an shared it between two of us. We had ribs, brisket & sausage and sides were potato salad & beans. The meat was all tasty, nice smoke flavor and not too fatty. The brisket had a nice crust on it and the ribs were plenty meaty. Sausage was tasty with a touch of heat. Potato salad and beans were both tasty and better than your usual sides. Only let down was the sweet tea as it was made with non filtered water, here in San Angelo that means that it is bad.

A family ran business. They were really kind to me and quick. The portion sizes were large. I ordered the brisket plate and the rib plate with peach cobbler. My husband and I could of shared a plate together and if we go again that’s what we will do. The potato salad was my favorite. The beans were alright a little plan. The peach cobbler was yummy except it was mainly crust and I personally like more peaches. Overall it was a good choice for dinner.

Best BBQ in San Angelo IMO thus far. The bark on the Brisket was outstanding, the smokiness of the ribs for me meant no sauce needed. Though the homemade sauce was delish. They are a mom & pop place, so they close when run out of meat, & mon/tues. So best to call before riding over. Its very homey, drinks in a can, ice in a cooler on the counter, homemade Tea, etc. Great folks as well. Loving and conversational!

This is how smoked BBQ should be done. It is run by a single family, which is both awesome and frustrating at times because their operating times can change without warning. I have been here many many times and I was first introduced to this place back in 2009. I have since left San Angelo and returned to rediscover my love of this place. The smoked brisket and ribs are possibly the best in town. They are incredibly juicy and the seasoning is very much on point. I only recently tried the smoked chicken and did not realize that their seasonings worked so well on poultry as it did with their beef and pork. If you do go here, be sure to try their house sauce as it goes with pretty much everything they serve. If you are in the mood for desert and they have their banana pudding, get it. You will not regret it.
