Massive sandwiches for a decent price. I got a ½ Big John and it was more than enough for me. If you’re picky about the combination of ingredients, this might not be the best sandwich place for you. But if you want a hearty, classic, deli-style sandwich then look no further. The quantity of food by itself is worth giving this place a look. They load those toppings on there so you’ll definitely want to keep the toothpick in as long as possible, otherwise the sandwich will start to fall apart. Grove Market and Deli also has a pretty good selection of bottled sodas and other snacks. I love the old Americana /General Store feel of the place, and the people working there make you feel like a valued customer.

Man of man! First off I got to meet and chat with the owner Jim. Hello so sweet! I called and a day in advance to get the sandwiches and I am SO glad we did. We showed up and the line was out the door at 11! You know you are in a good spot when it is this busy! Jim talked us into some goodies. They are from Carol’s. Carol’s makes them from sugar house. They have been around since 1940’s too. We got a lemon bar and it was off the chart! Not eggy tasting at all. perfect balance of crust and filling and short bread. We got a cherry turn over and hubby said it was probably one of the best we had. So soft and fresh Now onto the main show… the HUGE sandwiches. The pictures on Unilocal make them look big but they blew my mind they were so big. Got ½ roast beef on ambassador roll with everything and a turkey on ambassador roll with everything and the full fed me and both of my girls with some left over. The ½ for the hubby filled him up not only were they huge they tasted fresh and amazing and tons of toppings and so good! Oh and did I mention the price?! Holy crap. What. Great price! This is our go to sandwich shop for now on! Glad I found this secret in salt lake

4.9 /5.0 stars Hands down the best Italian style deli sandwich I’ve had in SLC… The only drawback to this place is the lack of seating for patrons, and the exceptional time it takes to get your order filled. This place is busy at lunch and for a good reason. Their sandwiches are off the chart great! Be prepared for the large nature of a full sandwich on an entire loaf of French bread. Review their menu and know what you want to order!

I love getting a big turkey sandwich here and I will never get tired of it. Staff is pretty friendly except for one guy but I usually don’t deal with him that often. One of these days I’m going to try that Big John sandwich, sounds yummy. The price is reasonable for the portion you get.

What a great surprise! This low-key market and deli serves sandwiches as large as footballs, with tasty bread and good meat cuts. Get a half sandwich, which is still very big. If you are craving a BLT, come here to satiate even your most aggressive craving. These heroes do not skimp on the bacon. The meatball is also delicious. The market has a huge hot sauce selection and random European eats like Kinder Happy Hippos(the BEST). They have fresh bakery items at the cashiers’ desk. Apparently the eclairs are a dream, but they often sell out and I haven’t had the chance to try them. There is shaded outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.

Massive sandwiches at a reasonable price is what you get here. You need to order just a half unless you plan on taking a nap for the next 3 hours and not eat the rest of the week. You don’t have to worry about topping portions. They pile on the meat. Go there and order with confidence.

Good sandwich, not the best I’ve had but totally tasty. They have the biggest sandwiches around town too. If you can finish a whole by yourself, big props to you. Especially the big john because it is definitely the biggest one they have. Really fulfilling lunch. I recommend calling in your order so you can just pick it up and not wait too long. Lots of hot stuff and other random stuff, nice people. Great place!

If you want to die and go to Heaven, definitely come here for a sandwich. It’s a cool little shop that has a lot of really random items — they have a HUGE selection of hot sauces. Unless you want to put yourself into a food coma, I’d suggest getting a ½ sandwich — even the ½ is bigger than my head. This is the one place I would give 10 stars to if it was available!

Went here with some co-workers on a visit to SLC. You can’t eat a sandwich on your own — well — you ought to split it. =) Great sandwiches and nice patio(if warm enough).

Can’t go wrong with a simple, fresh deli sandwich. I’ve tried several sandwiches but my favorite is definitely the Deluxe with everything on it. Service is fast and friendly. There’s no inside seating but there are a few picnic tables outside for when the weather’s nice. I’ve only been here on Saturdays or holidays. Show up before noon to beat the crowd – the sandwiches are just as delicious one or two hours later when you’re ready to eat.

I went here because the reviews were really good for the most part but I was incredibly dissapointed. The meat is not fresh and over processed. It was slimy and didn’t taste right I paid $ 17 for one sandwich to split with the wife and chips and a drink. You can bet I’ll be back Monday with receipt and old sandwich in hand asking for a refund. Unfortunately they are closed or I would be back there already. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else to get a good sandwich. Looking back, we should have just went to a grocery store deli bought good meat and cheese, some bread and big bag of chips and made something better at home. And spent half of what we were charged for something were not even going to eat. I’d feed it to my dogs but then I would have nothing to bring back to them on Monday.

Great little shop with a shockingly large selection of treats — chocolate, olives, hot sauces, specialty sodas. But really, the sandwiches are the star. Great bread and the meats and cheeses are all fresh. Huge servings –bring a friend!

So delicious. So happy. So full. These were the wonderful feelings I had after eating a sandwich at Grove Market. Let me first give you some advice. When you get there hug the refrigerators to the right and walk to the back. There you order your sandwich and pay up front. It gets a little crowded back there so that is the best way to order your sandwich. You then pay at the cash register at the front. Another piece of advice, I only got a half of a sandwich and only finished it because I had run a half marathon that morning. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have the stomach to eat both halves but one half of the sandwich was perfect for me. Or you could order a whole sandwich and split with someone or save the other half for dinner! I got the pulled pork sandwich which was so delicious. I liked that they served the bbq sauce on the side so that I could put on however much I wanted! My dad got the Italian sandwich which was so full of meats and looked amazing. Be careful if you come here in the winter. It was a nice day outside so we could sit at the picnic tables outside but there is no place to sit inside so be prepared to take it home or something. Also don’t be afraid to wait for dessert until you pay for your sandwich. There were cream puffs, cookies and brownies up front! There are also lots of other specialty items in the store if you need to grab something quickly as well. Such a delicious and filling lunch. I will keep it in mind when I need a quick sandwich on the go!

The best little deli. Love this place. * Amazing variety of bottled drinks * Eclairs are delicious! * Employees are super nice * Deluxe sandwich is amazing. 2 people can share and I like to eat! My wife is pregnant, can’t stand meat right now, but did have this sandwich and loved it.

Its so refreshing to see that small markets still exist in this day and age, this is one of the best with a large variety of different odds and ends, the deli in the back is awesome as well, I dare you to finish a large sandwich by yourself there should be a medal of some sorts if you complete it.

I absolutely love this place. OK deli sandwiches at a reasonable price(meat quality isn’t great, but they’re fresh otherwise), fresh produce, awesome selection of hot sauces and nice, clean tables out front. The owner is such a nice guy, too. Check out your corner shop!

This place rocks my socks. I love the tomato and avocado most. Their baked goods are always incredible too. They are quite busy(as they should be!) so I always do a call-in order and I’m in and out in minutes. Very convenient location and some of the nicest people to serve you. I always look forward to going here. I probably go once every week to every other week because their sandwiches are truly amazing and I find myself craving this place. The bread is SO good.

This place is almost TOO great. I absolutely loved the market/deli combo. The sandwiches are simply amazing and we even decided to treat ourselves to some fresh pastries near the register. Also, the ghost pepper cheese on the Italian was a match made in heaven.

HOLYSANDWICH! My wife’s uncle came back to work with a sandwich, and my wife tried a bit. I then got a text that we needed to go here for lunch that day. So we met donw at Grove Market, and not knowing what to expect when we walked in, we were surprised to find that that sandwich she had seen earlir came from a little stop ‘n go type place. Don’t let the size of the shop fool you, the size and quality of the sandwich will more than make up for it. The sandwich was a bit hard to eat, mostly because of its size. But all and all, this food was far above par. I only wish they had someplace to sit and eat inside the building, as it was very cold and windy outside.

I would consider myself a pretty picky eater especially when it comes to deli — style sandwhiches. The Grove is amazing. This sandwich will change your life. I went for the first time last week and I’ve been back three times since. The full meatball with provolone is what the best dreams are made of also roast beef and turkey and the pulled pork. I went for lunch today and as I write this review I think I’ll go back right now for round two. Best EVER!

If you are looking for a sandwich that is amazing and the size of a small baby, this is the place! It was fast and fresh, and they have the best avocado I have ever had. I could not even come close to finishing a whole sandwich, half would have been more than enough. Really amazing, and worth the price. Another secret find :) Just fyi, if it is cold, plan on taking it home, there is only outdoor seating, since it is a small market and not a café or restaurant.

Great little deli/market. When I first was looking at the menu I thought it was a bit pricey for a neighborhood deli. Then I got my sandwich. I ordered the Italian and it was huge! Definitely two meals worth. Not only that, but it was delicious. In addition to the great sandwich from the deli, the market had a great drink selection. Way more than the typical Coke and Pepsi selections that you typically find. This is going to be my go-to sandwich shop.

The sandwiches here are fantastic and gigantic, served on a whole loaf of delicious bread. You can quite easily feed about 3 – 4 average eaters with one sandwich. They also have a market which is great for a lot of harder to find products. The sandwich I typically get is a turkey, bacon and avocado, adding to it a bit of everything. They have all the fixins you could possible want to add to a sandwich, as well as a number of condiments. They have all the meats and cheeses you could really hope for, also functioning as a full blown deli and market, so you can pop in for real sugar soda, sandwich, and get some of your shopping done too. Great outdoor dining for warmer days, nothing indoor — so plan to take it home if too cold a day.
