Pella is a great little shop. I went there for lunch and had the turkey sandwich on wheat bread. Took the sandwich to-go, but they do have tables outside. It came with a pickle wedge, olives, peppercinis, and potato salad, all for under $ 7. The guy even threw in some Dolmades for no extra cost. Awesome! The bread was very fresh, Boars Head turkey was excellent, and the service was prompt and cheerful. The sandwich was large, but only because the bread is wide and fluffy. They don’t put an excessive amount of meat on, like some delis. I was very satisfied with the sandwich. The market section is very nice. They have an impressive assortment of cheeses, olives, and other mediterranean specialties. I will be back later to do some grocery shopping. Prices are good, service is superb, and the place is so fresh and so clean, clean.

Hidden behind Apollo Burger, in a rather industrial area of Salt Lake City is a gem named Pella. Owned and operated by the owner of the Apollo Burger that shares its parking lot, Pella is a fresh and delicious answer to the question«Whats for lunch?» I ended up eating lunch here on the recommendation of some firefighters who had been giving me and my co-workers some emergency training in the area. I was definitely not expecting to find such a great and enjoyable meal, but was certainly glad I did. The market itself is tiny, but is so clean that I would honestly feel comfortable eating straight off the counters, or maybe even the floor. I mean, the place is immaculate, and really well put together. It is very small, however, and only offers outdoor seating. They sell an assortment of Greek and Mediterranean packaged foods such as olive oils, preserves, canned fish, olives, sun dried tomatoes, etc. and they have a great assortment of Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. The deli offers a small selection of delectible sandwiches and they offer the obligatory Greek salad. I should warn that this Greek Salad is not for the faint of heart as it comes with two huge slices of anchovy right smack dab in the middle of it. The bread that the sandwiches are served on and that comes with the salad is really fresh, and chewy. I believe they make it in house, but am not positive. The best part of my experience at Pella is the customer service. I cannot stress how much customer service will make or break an experience for me. The owner was so gracious, and kind. He included free domathes with my meal, which was completely unexpected, but totally appreciated. Also, when I was paying, I was using cash, but came up a few cents short. The owner told me just to take my food and forget it, I could give him the change next time I came in. I highly recommend this place. I will be back frequently. Great experience, and higly appreciated.
