Very cool place. I rented equipments to film some interview videos. I didn’t have much experience, but they patiently helped me out.

This place has been one of the best rental houses I have worked with. Their equipment was clean, they were very helpful, had extra SD cards for me to use with no charge. The equipment was in great shape and worked wonderfully for me. Will be renting from this place in the future. Equipment rented; Canon 5D Mark III canon 70 to 200 IS lens, Canon 6D body, 2 600 EX Flashes and was even able to buy an old Polaroid camera from them! Too cool

This place is so cool. They have a great selection of gear, and hard to find items. I love the friendly atmosphere and the helpful staff. For any camera related gear this is my first stop, especially if I am looking for something unique. The prices are fair, the service is great. Check it out if you are into photography or have friends that are.

When I first moved to SLC a little over a year ago I was ready to quit photography. So I sold most of my gear. Once I got here I found a renewed love for shooting and Jacob and everyone at Acme have helped me keep it running. They take care of their customers like no one else does. I have nothing against any of the other shops in town but Acme has my business and I will never send anyone anywhere else but here. Top both place and the crew knows their stuff and has helped me out of many a jam. I’m almost scared to buy gear because I enjoy working with acme so much.

Jacob saved our vacation! I got dust in the lens and zoom, it would not open. He cleaned the lens and the zoom and then wouldn’t accept anything, saying the camera just needed some cleaning. Now I’m off to Yellowstone and will have a great camera, not just my iPhone! Many thanks!

After many visits to ACME, I have never experienced anything but wonderful customer service and expertise. They are always willing to answer many endless questions in person and on the phone. Working in the customer service industry myself I am truly pleased with their consistent and pleasant atmosphere.

I enjoy going to Acme, they are located in a cool alley in Sugarhouse. The owner Jacob is cool and very helpful. His staff is also great to work with. They are my go to place.

I found ACME from a photography group on Facebook. I was looking for a good place to rent lenses from and most everyone recommended them. I now know why. They are a great little shop with so much to offer. They had the lens I wanted, and were so friendly! I initially just wanted the lens for one day, but called and asked if i could extend it a few more, and they were happy to allow me to do so. I will definitely recommend them, and be a return customer!

I come here all the time and have always had a pleasant experience. The people there are nice and willing to answer all of your questions. They keep their equipment in good shape and I’ve never had a problem with any of their rentals. Their rental prices are the cheapest in town which is why I keep coming back.

I try not to give the main camera spot in SLC my business because most everyone there plays the too cool for school card. I stopped into Acme to check it out and I absolutely love this shop. Lots of quality gear and a staff that genuinely loves to talk about your passion and love. Killer selection on vintage 35 mm and 120 film and killer pricing on rentals. Shop is in a cool sort of hidden spot and blends right in to the sugar house community. I went in looking for a tripod and the owner was very knowledgable and went out of his way to make sure he showed me all options even unboxing a few to let me check out. Although they didn’t have the tripod I was looking for I will absolutely prefer spending my money here versus any other utah camera shops. Good selection of Fuji X gear which makes me a proud supporter. Definitely my new go to shop!

Acme Camera Co is an awesome shop, tucked away in Sugarhouse. They sell and rent all sorts of cameras and equipment. Jacob, the owner, is knowledgable, friendly and super helpful. The shop has such a cool vibe too. Highly recommend for pro photographers, novices and photography enthusiasts!

ACME is hands down the best place in SLC to buy your photographic equipment. Jacob, the owner is super down to earth, the employees are always so helpful and I always look forward to visiting. They still have a great selection of film and pack film cameras, alongside the latest digi equip. The crew are always hosting workshops and special events for the community and I’ll continue to support them as they continue to support the medium.

Very cool little shop. Tucked away in the middle of the block (i.e. It’s not right along 1100 E). Good rental prices, super friendly staff.

Friendly staff, cool stuff, but didn’t have what I thought was some of the more basic gear for a modern camera shop.
I did buy a $ 45 camera strap, which looks like it could’ve been an Etsy store purchase, and I’m sad to report that I’ve just realized that it’s poorly made. So I’m a bit disappointed to say the least, as I need it for the rest of my trip.
That bring said, the other items in the store seemed somewhat reasonably priced.

I traveled to Utah to visit family with my 101 Polaroid land camera, but I ran out of film half way through! After visiting a number of camera shops in the valley, I had all but given up hope of finding a film pack compatible with my machine. … But then i found Acme (thanks to the mention in Best of Salt Lake edition of the paper), and I was thrilled. It’s a little hard to find, but once you do, it’s hard to forget!
They rent out all number of awesome old cameras, including the 101 land camera, and they definitely had the film for it as well. I was able to pick up both black/​white and color for the rest of my trip: D the woman behind the counter was extremely nice and friendly, and I was actually kind of sad to have to leave in such a hurry; there were all number of cool gear that I wanted to check out. .Ah well, at least I know I’ll be coming back on my next visit!

ACME Camera Company is a small camera shop in the heart of Sugar House. The owner, Jacob, is a great guy and opened ACME to provide Salt Lake with a different kind of camera store. ACME is exactly the kind of camera shop I’d love to own myself.
So what does AMCE have exactly? Well, in summary they sell both traditional film and digital camera equipment and supplies. Drop by ACME and you’ll find camera bags, filters and batteries, photographic paper and film, tripods, Fujifilm mirror-​less cameras, and even toy cameras from Lomography. They have a lot of cool stuff you’re not going to find other places, including brands like Crumpler, that makes some terrific camera bags.
ACME also rents Nikon and Canon digital cameras and lenses, lighting gear, and film cameras too. They even offer semester rentals for students who need a film camera for a photography class.

Acme Camera Company is the best! I love that I can try out higher end lenses at an inexpensive price. Next, I want to try some film cameras!
Their customer service is out of this world. They’re flexible, quick to get back to you with questions, and are such nice people. It’s always a pleasure working with and chatting with them.
Also, their store is so beautifully designed! It has an awesome modern feel. I wish I could decorate my house that cool.
