I’ve been getting my film developed here for the last year and while the location isn’t convenient for me, that’s hardly their fault. They charge peanuts for basic film processing, and that is hard to find anywhere. Some have complained about them searching for people’s prints. Um, yeah I suppose sometimes when I go in there I wait for a couple minutes while they find my film, but I’ve never felt put out by it. I’ve only had one photo printed here, it was huge and expensive, but looked really good and I had to ship it so they helped me out with packaging as well. Neither their product nor their service has ever caused me to search for a different photo lab.

WORST experience. They’re too expensive and know nothing about photography. I don’t know who’s making money there but there completely oblivious staff makes minimum wage and their lack of experience and zero knowledge about anything photography reflects this.

Nichols. How can I appropriately describe my experience here? Hell on earth. The employees are generally friendly, but we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions. They are an unorganized mess. A complete mess. The few unfortunate times I visited, they were frantically searching for peoples missing prints-mine included. I called to check on the status of my orders and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. For realsies. 20 minutes is a long ass time to listen to «100 hours of Christmas» on FM100.3. Finally-they tell me it’s ready. Perfect. I get to the store, and guess what? They’re frantically searching all over for someone’s prints. My turn. Can’t find em. Jesus. Christ. FINALLY I have my prints in hand, hopefully never to return. Pro-quality and price are great. Employees, while flustered, are nice. Cons-everything else.

I went to Nichols a few days ago to have photos printed. I generally go to Nichols if I ever want to print anything because they’re the only ones who can consistently deliver really great, high quality prints. Here are the pros and cons in my experience: Pros: Great quality– if you want your photos to look grainy, off color and awkwardly cropped(heads cut off, etc) then I suggest walmart or costco. If you want good quality, sharp prints, go to Nichols. Great customer service– the staff is warm, inviting and happy to help. Cons: Not the most convenient location Parking isn’t great– pulling out can be tricky The price is quite a bit higher– but I would rather pay extra for the obviously better product(they have discounts for higher volume orders) I would definitely recommend Nichols Photo Lab!

Nichols Photo Lab is a great professional photography lab offering film processing, professional printing, and framing services. I started shooting film again recently and Nichols has been my lab of choice. They offer same day processing for all types of film: C-41, E-6, and B&W. The staff is friendly and professional. Although I haven’t ordered any prints from Nichols I’ve seen some of their printing and it looked excellent. Whether you’re a full-time professional photography, hobbyist, or an everyday person just need some prints, I think you can definitely count on Nichols to do you proud.
