The guy working the cash register was really nice but my sandwich was such a mess I couldn’t even finish eating it. It wasn’t even cut all of the way through the middle or all the way across the top.

I love this place. The employees are always so friendly and it’s always so clean! Kudos to the owners who know how to make their employees smile!

I wanted to update my review, as the owner contacted me after I submitted a complaint on the subway website. He was VERY appreciative of the facts, time stamps, and information I provided. He had been questioning his business the last several months bur was unable w To work with facts. With the details provided to him, he had made staffing changes and is working closely with his manager. Again, he expressed that he will b closely monitoring and working onsite until his business is brought up to his standards.

We have spent a few dollars at this particular subway for a few years now. Basically we are a family of 6 so eating basic subs for over $ 36 for lunch has gotten ridiculous so we have stopped going. The basic $ 5 can be purchased fresh at Safeway for 3.99 with more toppings now.

I kinda felt discriminated against as a really un-hip fat white old lady. Except that I didn’t really take the poor service as personally as to actually feel discriminated against. I just thought that I was the recipient of appallingly poor service at this location. The Subway product is a good, solid three stars. The flavors are consistent from sea to shining sea, and you can always count on a Subway when you are in a strange place and want a quick sandwich. Sometimes the tomatoes are a little iffy, but for the most part, the bread and the super-processed meats and lettuce and onions and variety of sauces – no surprises there. You can always count on Subway for an unremarkable meal. So back to my remarkable experiences at the West Salem Subway. I am certainly not against employees being friends with one another, but the kids at this location really need to remember that the«restaurant» in which they work is NOT a park where they are hanging out, and if a customer comes in their job is to respectfully prepare and serve a sandwich to that customer. I really don’t like feeling like I am interrupting or inconveniencing employees, and that has happened several times at this location. One afternoon I walked in and there was a female employee(and two other obnoxious white trash kids) sitting in the booth across from the cashier having a trash-talking and unprofessional conversation. That was bad enough, but the female employee was brushing her long, greasy hair. The kid who was working was extremely distracted and tried his darnedest not to participate in the conversation, but it was too much of a temptation. He kept getting sucked into ignoring me. The female was pretty offensive, so I said, «EXCUSEME!» and she said something mouthy, like, «OK, you’re excused.» Didn’t she realize that she was wearing a Subway shirt? So why one star? Well, because I went to the website and wrote a complaint about the incident and didn’t get no satisfaction. So I Unilocal
