Found this place while visiting my parents in Florida and really enjoyed it. Parking was not a problem, seating was not a problem, and I really liked the food. We always went here for breakfast and the fare was what you expect for that. Prices were good and they had good size booths as well. I like it a lot and probably go here twice or more each time I visit.

Our family had an early morning Easter breakfast here and it didn’t disappoint! Our plates were loaded with good, classic food. The coffee was fresh, and refilled the minute it got below the halfway mark in our mugs. Our three year old got the Mickey Mouse pancake(huge!), husband and daughter both had omelets — both delicious. We all had massive bowls of steaming hot, creamy grits. My corned beef hash was obviously from a can, but no complaints — it was still good. The service was wonderful even though they had a full house, and the price was surprisingly low for the amount of food we had. Great place!

It didn’t knock my socks off, but it was a good hearty breakfast that didn’t break the bank so I’d say it’s A-OK. The place looks pretty run down from the outside, but it is pretty nice on the inside. There were people in suits sitting at the bar seating. I went at about 9 a.m. on a Wednesday, so although it was not busy, there was enough people that I didn’t feel like it was uncomfortably empty. The server was really friendly. My colleagues and I were there for about an hour and a half and he was attentive enough that we never missed him, but sensitive enough not to smother us. Just the right amount of service. I got the bagel eyes. It was a bagel with cheddar cheese and poached eggs. The eggs were perfectly poached, but I was not a huge fan of the cheese for some reason. It was good, but I felt like I could make it at home. I got grits with it and there was a lot of grits. I thought the grits were pretty good. I actually couldn’t finish all the grits and was full for the rest of the day until dinner! I don’t think I’d go out of my way to go here, but if I’m in the area, it is a pretty good place to grab breakfast.

This may be the worst breakfast that I have ever had. We went to Tick Tock with some friends who had heard the breakfast was«amazing». The service was friendly, but it just doesn’t make up for the terrible food! I love a greasy spoon diner… when the food tastes GOOD. Give me a grilled cheese sandwich and some hash browns smothered and covered from Waffle House any day. I am not sure what Tick Tock uses in their pancake batter, but it is sickening sweet and does not resemble any of the pancakes I have had. I immediately noticed the color and texture were off, but decided to try them anyways. After two bites I confirmed that these were indeed, the worst pancakes I have ever ate. The sausage was also terrible. The only part of my meal that was edible were the scrambled eggs because I covered them in ketchup.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Tick Tock yet, considering we have Sunday breakfast here fairly often. Tick Tock is a typical diner-style restaurant with a large, varied menu. I have only ever been there for breakfast. My go-to meal is the spinach and feta eggbeaters omelet with whole wheat toast and sliced tomatoes(instead of potatoes). I love that they have the eggbeaters option. My kids usually get the Winnie the Pooh, or kids’ French toast, with sausage or bacon on the side. We all love our Sunday morning breakfasts at Tick Tock.

Went here for breakfast a few times and thought it was a bit of a greasy spoon. I was not impressed and the overall feel was not one of cleanliness, but more of clutter and disorganized with tables left dirty, plates stacked in site, etc. Not what I like to see when eating out. The prices aren’t bad, but I won’t go out of my way to return.

An old-timey Mom & Pop diner with some fine Greek-inspired dishes. Brisk business for breakfast & lunch(not sure if open at dinner) Many omelets including Greek with feta. Lunches are mostly sandwiches/salads but also some Greek dishes there such as spanikopita & mossaka. Service was friendly & efficient. A fine place to drop in for simple, solid food at low price and casual atmosphere. Like home cooking without having to do the dishes or clean up.

Tick Tock Restaurant is under review for promotion and will be assessed on the following subjects: Ambiance: C There wasn’t anything particularly striking or original about the character of the student once you got inside Tick Tock’s head and learned more about the student. Based off my observation, I’d say TTR is an average of the mill student for what he his — he’s into his breakfast. As you do get to know the student however, you will see just how popular this fellow is. TTR knows quite a number of people and was surrounded by them during my particular visit. Service: A TTR really knows how to accommodate for its visitors. His service was kind and attentive. Certainly no reservations about how well this student socializes with outsiders. This student is worthy of recommendation. Food: B This student is a step above average just because he’s not part of the popular crowd of people who are in his cohorts like Denny’s or IHOP. The meal he prepared wasn’t anything mindblowing. It just puts my mind to ease that he can compete with a sizable breakfast that’s worth coming back for. When I say, sizable, I really mean HUGE! Mr. Mark A recommends Tick Tock Restaurant for promotion to Middle School based on the performance observed in the above categories.

Greek-american style diner with lots of choices, great service but average menu fair. The staff was warm and inviting and our service was excellent! Only went for breakfast but we enjoyed our visit. I had the«choose yourself» egg white omelette with mushroom, onions and spinach with sliced tomatoes and my dining guest had the Greek omlette with homefries, plus ww toast and a biscuit. The starches were nice, no problems, nothing outstanding. My homie enjoyed the homefries a lot which was made with boiled then pan-fried russet potatoes. The greek omelette was just OK. I don’t understand it when restaurant don’t pre-rinse the feta when adding it to foods. It just ends up tasting like the brine it’s been preserved in, not fresh, salted cheese, just salt. Also, those black olives don’t belong in that omelette. Almost was a deal-breaker for me. Unless it’s kalamatta or similar quality, crappy canned black olives overwhelm everything with it’s briny, tinned flavor. My veggie omelette didn’t do well either, I love spinach in any omelette and granted not everyone can use fresh spinach, but I’ve been to plenty of restaurants where spinach in the omelette did not taste like you just thawed out the frozen package and took a fork to it. There were chunks of it which were untouched by egg or any seasoning and they tasted as good as cardboard. Oh and canned mushrooms in an omelette, OMG, NO! NONONONONONO! I’d give this place two stars for the food, but one star extra is for the friendly, attentive server. Coffee wasn’t too bad either.

I was disappointed in the coffee. When I go out for breakfast I am craving a good coffee. The coffee here did not come hot… like I want it. It was merely warm. The taste wasn’t that great either… kinda burnt tasting. The omelets on the other hand are pretty darn good! The are huge. The menu says they are three egg omelets, but I would have to disagree, they were gigantic! I ordered the Texas omelet with corn beef hash, green peppers, onion and cheddar cheese. I liked my friend’s omelet even better– Hercules(gyro meat, feta cheese and tomato). The pancakes were okay and the potatoes were a little disappointing. Overall, the portions were very large and at a reasonable price! Don’t expect much from the service!

So it’s been about 6 months since my first review of this place. I had to deduct 2 stars unfortunately. It seems that the had economy has also hit this place bad. On our first trip, all of the ingredients were so fresh and delicious. However, now it seems like they exchanged real potatoes for the pre-fried, frozen kind that are dripping with grease. The hollendaise used to be made fresh, but is now noticeably the ‘just add water’ dried stuff from a packet. If you are in the market for a quick breakfast that is very reasonably priced and will definetely fill you up, this is the place. But, if you are a foodie, steer clear.

This is our new default«corner diner», and all the usual suspects are present. Great breakfast variety served all day, huge selections of sandwiches, specialty plates and salads, rounded out by steaks/chops. We’ve tried several items here, and among the outstanding dishes are reubens, clubs, and anything in the breakfast category. This isn’t a place to think about a diet. It’s a family owned and run business serving up good ol’ fashioned comfort food. Service is friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable, portions are generous, I like to eat. I’m a charter member in good standing of the«clean plate club», but save for breakfast, I almost always have to take a go-box. They also have a couple basic beers on tap and wine if one feels like having an adult beverage.
