Lobster chowder very good worth coming just for this. The signature fried chicken is kind of bland lacking any real flavor on the batter or chicken. The fries are ok but the frozen crinkle cut it seems vs fresh. You can also tell they don’t fry them twice. Atmosphere is very nice wait staff is very good way above average. Not sure if I would bother to go out of my way to go there again.

Stopped for a Chattaburger today. Food was excellent and the service was great. Had my first Chattaburger 35 years ago and keep coming back. I do miss Juanita’s fried Bermuda onion rings.

What a neat place. Google this place and look at the photos of this gem. I have to admit the burger was just a burger outside the freshness of the toppings. The pickles were crisp as was the lettuce. I have had better burgers but, I’ve had worse too. The sweet potato fries were fantastic! All said we will definitely be back to enjoy the trellises with honey suckle, koi pond, lace covered tables and the bathtub planters. The food is enjoyable and mixed with the atmosphere and the guitar player in the background it’s a definite go experience place. Don’t pass this place up from what you see as you approach it. Go on in!

Great burgers, great wings. Macaroni and cheese bites are the best.
The best part of the whole experience is the decorations and the ambience. Dog and kid friendly.
If with kids, ask for fish food at the bar and let the little ones feed the koi!

My boyfriend took me on a surprise lunch here. We pulled in the parking lot and I mediately fell in love. There was a lot of thought put into closing off the outdoor patio with beautiful flowers and bushes so you don’t notice the traffic on the road. There is plenty of shading so even sitting outside on a hot day feels cool. I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and they were both amazing. The veggie burger patty was moist and super flavorful and the fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We had a really great time and will definitely be back! The high rating is mostly for the atmosphere!

What a great laid back place. Most seating is outside. Live music at night in season. Nothing about the menu will blow you away, but that’s just fine. Locals from all around can be found at this spot. Love The Chattaway.

The atmosphere is spot on with a funky botanical vibe. The owner is always working hard to create an enjoyable experience here. I have always stuck with my good olé standard choices at this fine establishment, burger, club sand, fish & chips. I had the best LOBSTER soup of my life, you must try!!!

Great patio ambiance. We showed up on a Wednesday when Tyler does an open stage. Tyler is a great musician and uses some kind of recording loop machine to augment his music. A singer from Colorado was passing through and gave some variety. My wife had the potato soup and was very happy with it. I had a veggie burger and sweet potato fries, both well done. Will definitely come back!

This cash only restaurant is a must do whether you’re a tourist or a local. On a beautiful day, The Chattaway is the perfect place to grab a beer and a burger. Even pre or post game! They have a really good «American» menu as well as a very relaxed atmosphere. They’re pet friendly too! Don’t forget cash.

Have been debating on stopping by for about five years, finally went for the first time during a weekday when they were not busy to try them out. Soon as we walked in I was impressed with the décor and the island like atmosphere. Don’t expect to be seated, you just walk in and find a spot, walk towards the back and let them know you are there if they don’t come to you. That’s a strike imo. An acknowledgement at the very least falls under the common expectation category.
Anyway, the tables were not cleaned out, the cash only deal is a bit of a turn off as well. They do have an ATM inside just so you know. Wouldn’t be surprised if they owned it, that’s smart business.
The service was slow but friendly, the Chattaway Burger is what was raved about, I’d go back if just for that, but would probably take-​out the next time around.

The food is ok. But it can be a pain to remember to bring cash to it there. And the food is not worth the effort. It can be a nice place to go for a drink when the weather is nice out. But during the summer it is just way too hot to eat outside. Even with the awnings draped overheard. There are better burger places all around st Pete. So Unilocal it up and check out a place that’s worthier of your business!

This is a divey little restaurant with good service and good food.
We came for burger week, and had their featured burger, the Junior Cheese Chattaburger, which is a 5 oz freshly-​made patty topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. For the cheese, you can choose between American, cheddar, Swiss, or provolone. It’s made to order, and comes out fast. End result, delicious! The fries were equally delicious! We also try the broccoli cheddar bites. They were interesting.
There’s plenty of parking, and nice decorations throughout. I loved the old tubs used as planters. This is not only an interesting place to have a good meal with great service, but also a historical part of St Petersburg.

Cute, quaint little neighborhood bar/​restaurant. The outside is very cute, it has a koi pond with a bridge over the pond. I think they have food they give the kids to feed the fish.
I’ve been here many times since it very conveniently located. I usually order buffalo grilled chicken sandwich or the Asian chicken salad because they are always good and I love chicken. They also have some good fried bar type food, like the corn fritters oh my, they are so yummy.
They also have bands that play on various night so it’s a great place to grab a beverage, a bit to eat and sit back and listen to some tunes.

I gotta say, I’ve read that this place serves a great burger… and one evening recently, I drove from South Tampa to this location in south St Pete.
Have to say I was disappointed with the burger… a lot. I thought it was 1) small 2) overcooked/​dry 3) overpriced 4) lacked flavor.
Honestly, I was surprised they didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked. I was with a table of 8 and no one was asked. As I tried to withhold my opinion after the meal, I realized I wasn’t alone and most of our table (who had burgers) ended up disappointed as well.
I will say the atmosphere was really cool and had a bohemian feel to it. If I lived really close and they stayed open late, I’d probably come back for a few drinks… but I would need a good buzz to order another burger.
