This place feels almost too new, not very comfortable inside and the wine tasting was a ripoff. 40 $ a head for wine tasting? Lol I had a way better wine tasting at Fortunati and the family that owns it showed me an awesome time. Titus does not feel like a family owned winery it feels like they just want to get as much money as they can get out of you. Don’t recommend this place.

This place came recommended from someone at Dutch Henry Winery. We decided to barge in and see if we could do a tasting. Appointments are required, so we quickly made an appointment and we were on our way. Mike was an awesome tasting host. Having lived in the Valley for his entire life, he was very willing to talk about some of the history of the Valley. He was extremely knowledgable about all things wine and very friendly. Top notch! We stayed there for well over our allotted time just tasting wines and talking about all things wine. This place is quite open and modern. Large glass windows line the back wall which allow you to view the estate vineyards. We were seated at a large table by the window and were treated to numerous wines. While the wines are not specifically labeled ‘estate’ wines, a majority of the wines are made from estate fruit. They are making a Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Malbec and a Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Zin blend. I must say, for never hearing of Titus, the wines they made were extremely good. Not only were they good, the price ranges were very reasonable by Napa Valley pricing standards. The tasting fee was nominal(by NV standards) and is waved with a purchase. If you are looking for a little bit of an out of the way place up the Silverado Trail, give Titus a call and set-up a tasting. You will not be disappointed.

This tasting room at Titus just opened about 8 weeks ago. It’s a very modern, clean building with little to distract from the gorgeous vineyards surrounding it. It felt cozy when we went but that could be because it was very rainy and cloudy outside. We made an appointment for Saturday, late afternoon, and Mike was our host. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable and has a voice that’s as smooth as the delicious wine we sampled(seriously, he should be a jazz station DJ or a hostage negotiator). We ended up using our $ 40 tasting fee towards several bottles. I brought home a wonderful Malbec and their«pleases everybody» Zinfandel. I can’t wait to open those puppies! They also grow/make their own olive oil but we forgot to remind Mike that we wanted to try that(good reason to return!). I highly recommend visiting Titus for a unique and intimate experience.

This was our first visit to this northern Napa Valley winery, many thanks to a recommendation made by Unilocaler friend, Denny B. And Mr. B and I knew it would be a excellent choice because of him. We were unprepared to find Titus Vineyards in their new, modern tasting facility, just opened about a month ago. What once was an intimate tasting experience in a cozy farmhouse environment is now a tasting area within a massive grey cement building with grey polished cement floors and wood slated walls, a rather cold, contemporary feel. Large wooden tables with red leather chairs were pre-set with glassware for group tastings. Comfort is found in the overlook of their lovely vineyards, outlined by the gentle hills and dense foliage that grows along the nearby Napa River. I did not find the building particularly appealing, Mr. B described it as looking more like an austere post office from the outside, and I tended to agree. But that was the end of the negative impressions and was most certainly not a deal breaker. The warm hospitality is completely genuine. After a warm welcome, we found ourselves to be the only ones tasting that morning, so we had their complete undivided attention. And the wines were quite good. We were each given two glasses, one for whites, one for reds. The one that truly captured our hearts was called the«Lot 1», a beautiful blend of Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, and Zinfandel that is incomparable. After tasting the newest release, 2011, which was excellent in its own right, we were lucky enough to discover they still had a few of the 2009 vintage, apparently a very special year, and that was exactly what we hoped to buy. And so we did, two bottles. Most elegant right now, it will be even better after laying down two years more, if it even lasts that long. They require appointments, as do many wineries in this area these days, but it is well worth the effort. And they do have a tasting fee, $ 40, which I believe was waived due to our 2 bottle purchase. Set aside some time on your agenda to experience this winery.

6 tastes for $ 20 but waived with purchase. Hard not to buy something here as the quality is great and the price point is great. Tasted on October 21 with Danielle. She obviously loves her job here and did a great job. One white(sauv blanc) and 5 reds constitute the tasting. The 2011 cab and reserve cab were outstanding and the Lot 1(Petite sirah based blend) and Merlot were also very good. We are hooked – joined the wine club. A real good one to be a member one –Napa quality with reasonable prices. Building a tasting room and facility to taste in 2015. We tasted in the house – very nice place.

This is a really nice place for a private tasting outdoors. You need an appointment, but it is worth it. We tasted six. Started with a very nice Sauvignon blanc(two people’s favorite) described as a red wine drinker’s white. Then, a Zinfandel that was the favorite of two others. Two cabs were quite nice, and the Lot 1 was unique and wonderful with huge upside. Go for a private relaxed experience with great values and quality!

Went here for a tasting with 3 friends. This is not one of the opulent, stuffy winery experiences like some of the bigger name wineries. What you will find here is a wonderful, friendly, knowledgable hostess, and very good Cabernet Sauvignon that is reasonably priced. We did a tasting at the picnic table near the vineyards, and tasted some great wines. We immediately felt like friends stopping by to chat at the picnic table over some good wine. We were given the opportunity to revisit any that we wanted to. We left there with about a case of wine between us, including some of the Sauvignon Blanc(and we are all mostly red drinkers) Their sign is small(as another reviewer mentioned), and really tough to see if you are going south on 29. There is no charge to taste, but you must have an appointment. I highly recommend making time for a visit here.

BESTVALUECABINNAPAVALLEY Here is some proof of my claims of how good their Reserve Cab is Tasting by appointment only is strictly enforced. The sign to the winery is only visible when going north on Silverado Trail. The sign could be the smallest winery sign in the Napa Valley. Christophe did the pouring and«29» the rescue dog did the welcoming. Met with Eric Titus while we were there. Tasted: 2011 Sauvignon Blanc — Crisp, clean, very strong stone fruit — an excellent Sauv Blanc. This is a white wine that I would not be afraid to give as a gift to non-white drinkers. 2009 Lot 1 — wow!!! a bold blend of things petite — something to make teeth purple 2010 Cabernet Franc — really nice 2009 Cabernet Franc — one of the most delicious Franc I have ever tasted 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon — at $ 45 it can shame the«big guys» of Napa with their $ 100+ Cabs. 2009 Titus Vineyards Family Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon — at $ 65 it rivals the«big guys» of Napa $ 150-$ 300 Cabs. We bought the 2009 Reserve Cab Sauv and 2009 Cabernet Franc. Joined the wine club immediately.

If you can get an appointment here, I highly suggest doing it. A lot of the valley wineries are commercial and push sales and have tons of tourists — not here! This is a laid back, family owner, quality one on one experience. We arrived and were the only ones there and were greeted by our tour guide(Christof — HIGHLY recommend him) and his dog 29(aptly named after the highway that runs through napa). We sat on a bench outside the old house that serves as their headquarters and enjoyed many of their wines and their homegrown olive oil, which we loved and bought 2 bottles of. We also bought a few bottles of their fine reds. If you are looking for an intimate experience in a great setting w/knowledgable folks who are interested in you enjoying your experience, then Titus is for you! Thanks Christof!!!(and 29)

Very small family winery on the Silverado Trail. Just love their reds. Great Deal ! ! Wines are underpriced at least 30%, and no charge for tasting. You need to call for an appointment and it is a little hard to find but worth it.

Stumbled upon this place by accident with my mom today after having one of their amazing wines at Solbar. They normally don’t do walk-in tastings but they kindly invited us in after we wandered onto their property looking for a tasting room. We were able to purchase some of our favorites(the Cab Franc and Cab Sauv were wonderful!) and really enjoyed chatting with Christophe about the history of Titus and the property. Thanks for a wonderful experience and please give Twenty-Nine a hug from us :)

As unpretentious as the wine is tremendous… Nothing better than sitting at a picnic table under a tree and drinking zin and cab franc. There’s a good family story behind the winery. Worth an appointment. NIce work Jay!
